Been going to Demitri’s for years now. A fantastic treat every single time and great coffee too. I wish they bring back the French toast..was the best in Melbourne with a perfect combination of sweet toast with Greek yoghurt.

Lamb was soft tender and tasted great, the grilled chicken again was perfectly cooked and tasted excellent. Saganaki and prawn both good starters, personally I didn’t like the calamari at all thought it was a bit tough and not to my taste.
Very loud restaurant and tables very close together and tight (bit to tight) so if your looking for some privacy or a quiet dinner this wouldn’t be it. Service was really helpful though. Overall a really nice night.

Absolutely wonderful. This place cannot be faulted. From the service to the food to the wine, this place knows how to deliver a great dining experience. My friend and I were *those* annoying people who were talking so much that we didn't look at the menu, so the waiter helpfully offered to order us a selection whilst taking into consideration any dietaries. The popcorn cauliflower, saganaki and stuffed red peppers were absolutely divine. I wasn't particularly hungry (though my friend was) and all managed to sate perfectly. The pinot noir was tasty, and the service was extremely friendly and jovial. Can't believe this place has been here for so long, and I've only just visited. Can't wait to return.
Easily the best wine and tapas bar in Richmond! The calamari was sooo tasty and went well with the leftover taramasalata. I would recommend the cauliflower popcorn if you want to try something different. Wish I found it sooner!
We almost walked past this place, however it's well worth stopping at. It's a cute little establishment, serving a small but delicious menu of authentic greek. The lamb, kalamari and tarama dip were excellent choices that I'd highly recommend 😍. The service is also attentive, efficient and well priced.

Opa! What happened Demiti’s? You were once this charming, little hole in the wall that felt like walking into Greece, now you’ve turned into a generic nighttime bar? Shameful! However, the food is still top notch and worth traveling for. Especially the lamb cutlets. They can’t be beat. Do your loyal customers a favor and bring back the trio of dips. That tzatziki was out of this world delicious!

Felt like some Greek food today, so dropped by to check out Demitri’s and you know what - the food was spot on! We ordered the Mezze board (tasty morsels of sausages, olives, marinated octopus, fried chicken, dolmades, cheeses, and bread), Calamari with school prawns (loved the crispy fried school prawns eaten whole with the crumbed calamari), ox tongue (super tender and spiced), and the chicken skewers (loved the tangy sauce that came with the succulent chicken). Though the size aren’t big, the flavours were bang on! This was tapas Greek food at it’s best. Couldn’t fault any of the food, and the service was good (wait staff were attentive and knew their menu well). We sat at the back (there’s a bar in front), but the space ain’t big. So, don’t recommend a big group, but for a smaller group (less than 4), this place is perfect. Will absolutely be back.
New renovations looks great. Nice simple menu, owner was helpful, wait staff seemed inexperienced. For two people we had the mezze platter, eggplant dip (yum!) & lamb keftedes. Wine list was nice. Timinmelbourne suggested catching up at Demitri's Feast for dinner and I was initially confused. Isn't Demitri's Feast a brunch place? When did they extend their opening hours? A quick search shows that Demitri's Feast has now transformed into a nighttime mezze and tapas bar, serving Greek-focused dishes under the watchful eye of a Greek. What could go wrong? Well, let me tell you - nothing! It was excellent from start to finish in terms of service and food.
We sat in the back courtyard that was heated up by two heaters and also given blankets to keep ourselves warm. Didn't had to wait long to order nor for the food to arrive. The menu was simple and straightforward - only two pages long and divided into starters, small, large and sides. Amongst the dishes we ordered, the standout was the lamb cutlets and chicken skewers. Both were tender and succulent cut of meat, that were juicy and flavourful. The spanakopita was another highlight - light flaky pastry and very generous with the filings of spinach, feta and egg.
We experienced a slight hiccup when the waiter misunderstood our order for dips and pita bread as only pita bread, and we ended up with an extra serve of bread when we asked for the dips. Also, hilarity ensued when we were presented with chunky chips - without us realising that patatas fried is chunky chips. Oh well, you can't go wrong with chips, especially when they are hot and crispy.
The portions may look small but we well truly stuffed at the end. Prices were very reasonable and our total bill was below the $100 mark; even with two glasses of wine and a beer ordered. Excellent choice for dinner Tim!

We were stumped when we read that there were some "patatoes" on the menu. Neither of us understood what that meant. So we ordered them and we were served some hot chips. When I said we didn't order hot chips we were told that they were the patatoes haha. They sounded so much more exotic on the menu. Lol

Good service tastes just as good as the food, in my opinion. The guy working tonight was knowledgeable in the menu (both food and wine) and was super attentive which made our experience THAT much better.
The restaurant is small with a strong homey feel, and the food is reflective of this. We ordered the spanakopita, lamb cutlets, grilled calamari, pork meatballs, and beetroot salad with feta. Lamb was surprisingly not dry as most places overcook small cutlets. Standout dish was probably the spanakopita and lamb cutlets.
Well this place is a gem! We got a banquet and it was worth every penny. When we thought we were done the plates just kept coming. And each of them were a hit.
The meat was well seasoned and cooked perfectly. The dips were delicious, full of flavour and the perfect amount of kick in the spicy cheese dip. The whitebait and calamari were great. The spanokorizo was equally delicious. The only difficult thing to share between so many of us was the whole roasted fish - probably not good for a sharing menu. I was so impressed that dish after dish was perfect.
The let down was definitely the desserts, the baklava and risogolo were terrible but the third custard type dessert was lovely.
I would 100% recommend this place, it was truly a feast and a great one at that.
The Grilled Octopus ($18) sits as a lone tentacle on the platter. Don’t let the presentation fool you – this is probably some of the best octopus I’ve ever had. Perfectly grilled, the centre is a melt-in-the-mouth tender that’s rarely seen with octopus, and the outside boasted a light, crispy char. A squeeze of lemon is all this needs.
I have been here a couple of times with a group of friends. Food is delicious and they have some interesting wines too. I found the place nice to have a wine over a couple of bites but its a bit expensive to have a full meal as portions are very small.
I might go back to try the breakfast!
Freshly refurbished, Demitri's feast now offers a great space for dinner and/or drinks. The menu is delicious Greek food without any fuss; quality ingredients, cooked to perfection & delivered to your table with a smile. The drinks list is ample and well priced. This is a real neighbourhood gem, my only reluctance in writing a review is that I don't want it to get too busy as I know there will be a quick onset of cravings for some of the dishes we tried tonight. The octopus, keftedes & lamb cutlets were standouts... actually, the only other thing we ordered was chicken skewers and they were amazing too!! Can't go wrong.
Recently reopened and a total transformation. Had some beautiful snacks and wine - perfect for a Friday night. The black tarama dip with squid ink was delicious. Great atmosphere and will be back 😊

Such a refreshing menu! The style of cooking really lets the ingredients shine, rather than relying on fancy ingredients or plating.... Truly a rare gem in Melbourne. I had the Zucchini Fritters which were bursting with flavour, and you can definitely taste the Greek influence. Even the tomatoes that came on the side were grilled to perfection, exploding with juiciness and sweetness. Staff was super friendly and let me get a half order of French toast with my meal and boy was I glad!! The texture was just perfect, it was so rich and indulgent but at the same time was light and crunchy unlike most French toast that is too eggy and soggy.
Home made cooking at its best. Quality restaurant however way too small. But then again that's why we love this place. Great range of food, good prices and just wished he opened Sundays or for dinner. But it might compromise his awesome brand so oh well.
A solid tasty brunch spot with a nice relax outdoors area. Had the whitebait with salad, and the ouzo salmon and eggs. Both really tasty and coffee was nice. Only disappointment was the hot chocolate, we got told that we should order one because they were really thick and delicious. However, there are two types of hot chocolates on the menu, we ended up with the traditional stock standard Cadbury powder. I've heard how good the hot chocolate is here, so I decided to try it instead of my usual latte. The European style hot chocolate was everything it promised. The hot chocolate was thick, rich, like chocolate soup, not too sweet, but with a hint of chocolate bitterness which was really really nice.
For the breakfast, I decided to go with the Gigantes, which was the giant baked beans, free range egg, lokaniko sausage and feta. This dish is packed full of flavour and the seasoning is perfect. The egg was perfectly poached, still runny in the middle.
BFF had the Baclava French Toast with walnut praline, sweet yoghurt and orange blossom syrup. I love this French Toast! To me it was more like a brioche than your average eggy french toast, which I really enjoyed. It was light and crispy, not at all soggy.

Typical breakfast dishes ie French toast and eggs are given a Greek twist with classic Greek flavours like feta, saganaki and orange blossom. There is baklava French toast and even ouzo cured salmon. And the dishes are all done well.
With great coffee to boot and cute courtyard (though the cafe is small).
This unassuming little treasure on Swan Street made all my Greek dreams come true one brunchtime.
If you happen to be in the area, stop in and grab a meatball pita with kefalograviera and rocket- absolute meaty, saucy, cheesy goodness in a soft, pillowy delicious pita wrap. The specials on the day we visited were amazing also.
The whole flounder was perfectly seasoned and cooked. We had a side of brown rice, pomegranate, almond and feta salad with all kinds of other amazing pockets of flavour mixed in that I can't quite recall as I was in some sort of food enigma by this stage.
The coffee- to die for. Baklava- TO DIE FOR even more- it was sticky, nutty, flaky and just hit the after-brunch sweet spot.
Staff are really friendly and helpful with the more 'Greeky' things on the menu that we needed translating.

A decor fusion of Greek culture, Melbourne cafe and Richmond fanaticism awaits the observant. Tucked into a tight and inconspicuous shop front on Swan Street, if you're not looking for it, you might not see it. Dmitri is a friendly fellow who runs a tight ship, serving quality food at a very reasonable price. Everything has a an element of Greek cuisine brought into the meal but very much fits within the category of Melbourne brunch food, though don't expect the food to be overworked like some other places, this food is wholesome. A special mention goes to the delicious bread and the Baklava french toast (stunner). Expect a short wait, lovely service, a tasty meal, good coffee, and outstanding value for money. Bring it to the top of your list.
Finally got around to trying Demitri's Feast after a flood of recommendations. I was thoroughly impressed. Not only was it easy to get a table but the cafe has a lovely casual and relaxed vibe. The menu is also extensive with options to suit all diners. Feeling in a sweet mood I ordered the baclava french toast with walnuts, vanilla yoghurt and orange blossom syrup. The french toast was crispy on the outside and lovely and soft in the middle and the sweetness of the syrup was perfectly counteracted by the slightly tart yoghurt. Definitely a winning dish!

We wandered down to this cute little Swan Street Greek Brunch spot on a gorgeous Saturday morning and sat in the courtyard soaking up the spring sunshine. French toast was light and fluffy with yummy crispy edges and a 'not too sweet' orange blossom syrup, yum!! I only wish I'd thought to order a side of bacon! Hubby's Saganaki eggs were fresh and tasty with crispy bread but I thought the Saganaki was a little lost being chopped into the sauce as opposed to a nice chunk of grilled cheese.
One of the friendliest restaurant's I've been. Very good menu, looking at the specials board ; the best ,freshest food is on offer. I had a beautifully cooked john dory that took up the whole plate with great grilled flavour . Plus a nice salad, all at a very reasonable price. I was actually recommended to visit this place by a colleague at work, and was very happy with the experience here. The cafe doesn't seem very big, and we were lucky enough to get the last table for three at the bench by the window facing outside. The cafe is cosy, with the front half of the cafe having minimal decorations apart from a shelf of art pieces, and the back half full of framed photos/art. Music plays in the background, and together with the sounds of the coffee machine and chatter from the customers makes for a lively but not too noisy atmosphere. Service was decent for the most part, though it did take awhile to catch the attention of the staff when we wanted to order, as it was quite busy.

We walked in for breakfast on a sunday morning, ordered smashed avocado and scramble eggs. The serve was generous for my smashed avocado, with very good bread. The bread was fresh, not doughy or chewy at all. I loved the bread without seeds, simple and neat. Although the amount of avocado was little, the bread was just enough to compensate of what's missing. My boyfriend's scramble eggs looked good too, but he wondered why he didn't have an extra piece of toast :)
Coffee was awesome, proper temperature (even on a cold day like this, I thought they would give me slightly less hot coffee). The long black was perfect, oriental, rough and beans were grinned just right for a traditional long black.

I haven't been to this patch of Richmond in a long time and was really surprised at how much there was to find here! One delightful find was Demitri's Feast, a greek-styled cafe with a lot to offer. I'm looking forward to seeing what else Demitri has on the menu.

This place is a little different to your strandard breakfast places in Richmond. It is greek, so their menu has a few more interesting items.
I decided to be boring and went for an old favourite, Baked Eggs. They came out looking fantastic, a bit runny just how I like them. I thought the flavours worked well, they were tasty, however I have had better elsewhere.
Tip: Even though they advertise alcohol and they do breakfast. They do not do Bloody Marys, in case you were looking for that hangover cure.
A friend recommended this place for lunch, they suggested I try the calamari souvlaki & it was delicious. It's a cool cafe, friendly staff & nice coffee.
We visited the cafe on a busy Saturday morning, had to wait 10 minutes for a table but we didn't mind. We sat in the lovely courtyard at the back. The service was friendly and efficient. Don't be fooled - it may be small, but this place is a little gem! It was a cold rainy morning when we came by so initially we were a bit wary of being seated in the courtyard. However, apart from a few stray raindrops and a chill every now and then, the overhanging leaves/vines/shrubs made for a cosy little area. And the olive oil can seats added to the rustic feel! So atmosphere- check! Service was wonderful right from the get-go- friendly, warm and helpful, putting up with our indecisiveness over the menu! Now, the menu- wow! Such a variety of delicious-sounding dishes, both savoury and sweet, we really couldn't decide. In the end we went for a savoury dish each and shared the crumpets for 'brunch-ssert'. My spanish sardines on toast with roasted peppers were just divine! Really love the mediterranean inspirations and flavours across the menu. And to top it off, coffee was excellent too. Overall a great little place, will definitely be back!

Demitri’s Feast is a gem along the many eateries on Swan Street. It dishes up all-day breakfasts, heartier lunches and daily specials, all with a Greek influence. I had taken my brother and sister-in-law a couple years ago and we enjoyed the food tremendously. I had my eye on the sweet breakfast dishes and succumbed to the semolina pancakes with rosewater syrup. It was fluffy and rich and heavenly. Sometime later I found out that the other choice of baklava French toast was simply to die for, and I knew I had to return. The Angmoh, Fakebooo and I visited one Sunday for lunch. Booo had just knocked off work, The Angmoh had completed a rowing session along the Yarra and I had woken early for gym and a long walk with the Sausage. We brought with us an immense appetite. It was drizzling today. Perfect. We read online that Demtiri's Feast was usually packed by 10am especially on the weekends, so when we saw it was raining we kind of relaxed. Demitri's Feast is easy to get to, even with public transport as it's right in front of Stop 10 (Tram 70 to Wattle St). It was already quite crowded when we got there - there were also a few people lining up for takeaways, I'm assuming. The staff was very attentive - they noticed us waiting and immediately found us seats. We had the option to either sit inside or outside in the courtyard. Usually I'd like to sit outside, but there was potential for it to start pouring, so we opted instead to sit inside. I think I've found a new favourite breakfast place: Demitri's Feast. I think I've also found a new favourite suburb: Richmond. Swan Street, which I always thought was a bit of a foodie wasteland, has rceently blossomed into a cherry orchard of gastronomic wonders: Friends of Mine, Demitri's Feast and the newly opened Union Dining dot Swan Street, Pillar of Salt is around the corner on Church, and New York Tomato covers the north side of Bridge Road. Drinks by Mountain Goat. I'm excited to see so many great cafes on the east side of the city, given that they all seem to be in Fitzroy and Brunswick. Demitri's Feast, if you couldn't tell from the name, does Greek-style cafe food, and they do it well. The Greek ingredients and flavours are present in all dishes, but they're combined in an innovative, modern fashion that fits in very well with Melbourne's thriving cafe scene.

Before heading off on a hens weekend I ducked into Demitri's Feast in Richmond for some delicious breakfast.
Delicious!. Great fit out, inviting with a good atmosphere. Particularly enjoyed the outdoor area, relaxing, comfortable and shady. Food was delicious. Standouts were the patates and the meze plate. You can't pass up the bougatsa, we took it home and warmed it, yum!
Swan Street gem. Demitri's Feast is one of the best places on Swan Street and one of the best places in Richmond. It's tight for space, but people are friendly and it's clear that many are regulars, as we have become, and with reason: good food, friendly staff, and a feeling that the place is bustling because people want to be there. I really love this place. The food, coffee and the service. If you haven't been you must go.
Outstanding. I always order the same 3 items when I eat here. French toast, rice pudding and hot chocolate. French toast us always perfectly cooked and has a very tasty yougurt and rose syrup to accompany it. It is sweet but I would say one of their stand -out-dishes. The rice pudding with figs is delicious. The hot choc is always lovely and hot and very chocolatey! I normally have a sugar free day after eating here but that's my fault for choosing all the sugary items on the menu! Tip : close walk from Richmond train station

Service is friendly and quick & the menu is different to the same old brunch items found in every Melbourne cafe. Really interesting and Greek inspired menu, will be back to try the rice pudding.

Belly Full of Delicious. Ok, this place is busy even on the quiet days. The Way to Go is to share a bunch of plates and get a side salad (not your normal salad but something special). The three of us went for a Chicken Pilaf, the French Toast (***a Must!), and spicy poached eggs with feta I think. plus a side salad.
Its Melbourne so we also sipped a few nice coffees and left very full after a delicious experience. We went on a Thursday and it filled up for brunch quite fast, and the staff were also doing a lot of takeaway orders.
The service was fun and simple but on the ball. My tip is to watch the specials board and go with some friends. We paid on card and left very happy - and prepared to shop on Bridge rd.

My absolute favourite place to eat in Melbourne. Semolina pancakes are to die for, as are all the egg dishes! Big servings, and owner & staff incredibly friendly and welcoming. If there's a short queue (sometimes is) its worth waiting for every time :)

Faith is the ticket to the feast. Was walking passed and the decor stopped us. The menu drew us in - not your standard brunch list, so we gave it a go and hoped for the best. Baklava french toast and Semolina pancakes were flavoursome and pleasingly exhibited various textures. Faith paid off.
Went last week for breakfast and despite opening late, we were lucky to be the first through the door. The courtyard was full of people shortly afterwards. Fairly long wait due to the kitchen trying to catch up, i had the mushrooms, poached egg with almonds dish which was delicious and then suffered order envy when I tried my husbands falafel, yum. I'll definitely be back soon and ordering the falafel for breakie next time. By the end of breakfast we'd forgotten about the wait, it was worth it. The waiter was lovely and the coffee was great.

Dimitris Feast. Have been many times for lunch and the food is delicious. Tried it for dinner on Saturday for the first time. The dinner menu was as tasty and I would definitely go back. The staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful trying to accomodate you as best as they can. Very nice that theya re open for dinner as well.
Just Lovely!. Hat-trick! 3 of 3 wonderful brekkies. Both savory and sweet have been a delight, polenta porridge is a real winner. Terrific coffee too, and quick. Only fault is that i wish my waiter hadn't relied on memorising our coffee order...but all in all a wonderful place that will be here for a long time.
A Neighborhood Fave. This is a great place to have around the corner. They do a really good coffee and a fab take-away salad. Personally, I would prefer some more comfortable seating but trends dictate and they seem to do a killer trade despite the puny perches. Really inventive menu which is always fun. Great vibe.

Wonderful Breakfasts!. Demitri's Feast is one of our favourite breakfast spots- we are slowly working our way through the menu and every option seems to be as delicious as the last! Coffee is also spot on- though one of the waitresses (slightly older with short hair- perhaps the manager?) is always frosty and quite unpleasant to deal with. We return anyway because the food is just so good.
Yum. A small unassuming cafe making great breakfasts with a Greek twist! The broad bean felafel was delicious - worth the 25min wait.
Food + Service = Opa!. From the warm welcome to the delicious food, this breakfast experience is one of the best I've had in Melbourne for a few years.
We ordered Semolina Pancakes (with sweet yoghurt, rose jam, pistachios & orange blossom syrup) + the Roast Field Mushrooms and two coffees. Both dishes were a surprising and tasty package of contrasting flavours, and the coffee was good too.
Added to this was the overall feeling of the space. True, we were at Demitri's late on a Thursday morning, giving a different experience to a hectic Saturday morning breakfast service, but still - the place had sometime. The artful and homey decor on the walls, the greek olive oil tins cheekily converted into stools and the warm banter between the staff and their stream of regular customers.

Will be going back!. Headed to Demitri’s feast on a Saturday at about 12pm. We were seated straight away in the rear courtyard which was lovely and warm on a cold winters day! Service was quick and the staff were cheerful and very informative.
I ordered a coffee and mushrooms on toast (with a poached egg) and my partner ordered a meat ball wrap and a soy coffee. Both coffee and food came promptly and were absolutely delicious!!! One of the best brunches in Melbourne!
Breakfast best. I cant count the number of times i have eaten here over the past two years.
The smashed avocado is exceptional and the price is great. I have no complaints on the food, you cant get better for breakfast in Richmond.
Don't like the cash only, but at least its near banks if you need cash and the prices are good so no frights here.
The staff have always been great and the set up is fun and quirky if not a little cramped.
You cant begrudge them for the wait - it means you are in for something great.
Absolute #1 for Richmond breakfast/ brunch.
I've been to this place twice.. once I got food envy because I ordered the zucchini fritters.. which sounded nice but ended up with a deep fried texture, interesting and was definitely not as appealing as how it sounded on the menu.. the smashed avo exceeded expectations & got the saliva glands pumping! Placed on a small table today which was squished underneath the kitchen serving area, was completely in the way & had the "joy" of the unapologetic waiters armpits in our face a number of occasions throughout our breakfast.. my breakfast was amazing but the waiters pits were not..
Fresh, Fab and Fun. The portions are not huge but they are all delicious and honest. This is a small joint with no airs and graces but character by the bucket load. All the Greek goodies are there with a home cooked freshness that is absent from many more expensive hallmark Greek restaurants. The staff are engaged, informed and positive but not pushy. The coffee is also outstanding. A Greek version of Mario's on Brunswick St 20 years ago if that helps with the imagery.
Great vibe and good food. I love this place! The baked omelette was fantastic and one of the best omelettes I've ever had! The staff are upbeat and fun.

For dinner the food to go for is the fish. Very fresh and moderate prices. Small resto and very simple decor. Saturday night and we only had to wait 15 mins for a table for 4. We will be back.
Worth the Wait.. Started out dropping in for dessert one evening and had an affagato, which was just what we were looking for. Then I tried the coffee yesterday (which was excellent) and followed up with breakfast this morning. We decided to wait outside for a table and overheard people talking about how it's worth the wait.
It's a nice little bo-ho place and, despite being busy, the service is calm and attentive.
I had the rice pudding, Claire had pancakes and Al had the zucchini fritters. The food is rustic and honest. Seems to me that somebody paid close attention to mum's cooking and has just nailed it. It's not try-hard or fake or trendy or half-arsed. I want to try everything on the menu.
This place is very small and becoming popular quickly. It's local to me and I'd hate to have to queue up every time I want to eat there - but I think I would anyway.
Greek GODS!. Yes that is right its a Greek God's place. Everything about this place is awesome! The coffee and breakfasts are all just super. I love the semolina orange cake with yoghurt as an afternoon dish. Lunch is great, especially the specials. The only thing I hate is if they are busy (which is 99% of the time) and there is a line to wait for a table.
I'm Impressed. As a Greek, I must commend Demitri's Feast for successfully utilising Greek flavours and ingredients in making a fine breakfast! Our morning visit was worth it -- the food was terrific. The decor is clever and unique, while the presentation of the dishes is nice. Overall, a great representation of Greek cuisine. The atmosphere was also pleasant.
Had the best French toast of my life here! It wasn't too sweet and the yoghurt really made it. My boyfriend had the bacon and eggs with vine tomatoes which he enjoyed. It doesnt look like there are many seats from the street view but there's a courtyard out the back so don't immediately turn it down!
Yummy Yum Yum. Jim, you are the only person who has served me prawns, feta and watermelon all at the same time and I loved it every time.

We arrived on Sunday morning around 10:15am. Thank God for that because literally 4 groups showed up just after us!
The gracious chef/owner was super friendly and accommodated us so warmly. We sat at the front bar (which is the best seat in the house) ... so while we sat and enjoyed our coffees we could also people watch.
I ordered;
Zucchini Fritters w. goat feta, herbs, rocket , confit cherry tomatoes & poached egg $14.9
Loved it! But it was a bit lemony. I would have added a avocado mash on top, 2nd poached egg or side of bacon to make this dish excellent!
We also ordered;
Baclava French Toast w. walnut prailine, sweet yoghurt & orange blossom syrup $14.5
This was great also, but after a few bites it got a bit too sweet. Could have had a side of bacon as well to break up the sweetness. The sweet yoghurt was gooped on as well.
Oh the Chai Tea Latte definitely needs some help.
Overall it was a great experience with slight blemishes.

Enjoyable and tasty. I've only been there once SOFAR. But every time i drive past i think about visiting again and am thankful it's still there! The reason being the food was tasty, presented nicely and the staff guy even chatted with us! My vote is to go back.
We went for brunch today after my parter heard about demitri's at work. I had the village toast, it was bright green! Avocado, beans and goats cheese on multi grain. Delicious! My partner had the moussaka, it came in a cute ramekin with lots of cheese and a side of bread. The window display was enticing with an assortment of wraps and salads, it had been done well. The shop itself was cozy and the staff were welcoming.
Yummy. We had a really nice breakfast here... only issue is that inside is really small and we were sitting outside on a cold day.

Great atmosphere and good food. The best place for breakfast/brunch in Melbourne. We come here every week and it's great every time.
The only downside is that it's often hard to get a table as it's usually packed in the mornings.
Lived up to Expectations. Great tiny brunch spot (wish it was a little bigger). Coffee was fantastic, food was even better (I had the gigantic beans while my partner had the scrambled eggs, I'll be having them next time - wow). Also grabbed some baklava on the way out which was perfect. Prices are completely reasonable and love the decor, especially the seating.
Only cons would be the service we got from one particular waiter who wasn't really interested in talking or smiling, and again, the room - a little squeezed. But best breakfast we've had in the Swan St area easily.
Love this place!! We have been hitting this place for 2 years monthly and never fails us-even with the usual wait to get in. Food is great, very reasonably priced lunch options, and always friendly service. Only wish they did dinner as well! Think we will be going again this weekend....!!

Will be back. Great setting, great food and great vibe. the menu has all your breakfast favourites, but with a unique European touch that I haven't seen in any other cafes in the area. Lovely fresh ingrediants and good service considering how incredibly busy it was when i went on a saturday morning.

Demitri's Feast is a welcome addition to the gastronomic wasteland that is Swan Street. Fantastic brunch menu supplemented by an enticing display of choices in their front cabinet. Try the poached pear with the house-made muesli (studded with rose petals) - heavenly. Tiny with limited seats so get there early or be prepared to wait. Well deserving of their popularity.
Food was good, but not amazing!. We had breakfast here a couple of weekends back. It's a nice space, we sat outside in the courtyard area, which is really lovely and nice. I had the Semolina Pancakes which were different, but nice and my partner had the omelette which was ok but not amazing. That being said, we'd probably come back again and try some other dishes, maybe we were just expecting too much? Also,, I think the guy overcharged us on our brekky, not on purpose i'm sure, but it happened somehow. Didn't realise it till we'd left, but it doesn't matter greatly, we'll be back sometime.

My new favourite breakfast spot! Went on a weekday and it was the perfect amount of busy, enough to create a friedly warm environment but not ridiculously crowded. Food and coffee was really great. Staff where friendly and passionate about their place. We had the baklava French toast and the zuccini fritters, both of which were too good to share. Will be back very soon to try the rest of the menu.
Awesome! Guys if you're looking for a new breakfast spot, try Demitri's Feast. Menu is fantastic, do not leave with out trying the Baklava French Toast.... Simply amazing! I think most people on the breakfast scene will enjoy this place. Be warned that it's a small place and there might be a delay on seating, it's very busy.
Excellent. I read a recent write up about Dimitri's feast and wanted to give it a go. We arrived at around 11 am for breakfast on a Sunday morning, and yes there was a bit of a wait for a table, but it us worth the wait.
I tried their signature Baklava French toast. It had the right amount of egg, walnuts and syrup. My husband went for his usual bacon and eggs and even such a standard did not disappoint. The bacon was smoky and crispy while the eggs were fresh and flavorsome, Perhaps a shorter cooking time will perfect the yolk next time.
Coffee is great, and the atmosphere is buzzing and lively. As we were leaving we saw some lunch items, the Pork belly looks amazing and is a must try for all pork fans,
I love places like this, small cosy places which create dynamic edgy menu's bust also know how to knock out good staples. The kitchen is tiny, so hats off to the chef's working in such a small space.
WOW. So I get there at 11am on a Sunday morning, everyone else thought it was a good idea as well. This place is small with maybe 30 seats, but I think that's part of of it's charm. It's full of anything with a greek flair and seats made of old industrial fetta and olive tins. After waiting for about 5 mins for someone to leave we were quickly seated at a table beside the coffee machine.. The staff were great, with the small space full of people, after drooling over the sweet options of Baklava french toast and semolina pancakes. However, I opted for the poached eggs with salmon... pure heaven, eggs perfect and yellow yolk oozed out (from green eggs). Before this arrived I had a double shot latte, this was as it should be, warm to the touch, creamy.. fantastic.
Perfect way to start a Sunday with great coffee and perfect eggs.. highly recommended.. but please don't tell too many people.

A Diamond in the Rough. For a time there, Swan St, Richmond had become a bit of a culinary wasteland. With all the previously great places changing hands or closing down, you ostensibly had to get in a car to get to a decent lunch or coffee.
Finally, that has all changed - Demitri's Feast has opened right opposite Coles (the old NVS/Mumbler store) and, put simply, it's really rather good.
Demitri's is cafe-fare done right with a greek-inspired twist. I've had breakfast there and a couple of lunches and they've all been spot on.
Both with the food and decor, it just feels like they care about what they're doing (which also comes out in the coffee, which is probably the best in Swan St).
The specials so far have been varied and great (also largely what I've ordered). Check out the spanikopita with wild-foraged greens (collected by the owners mother!).
Also, don't be put off by the small-ish front-room, there's a covered courtyard out the back.
May it last longer than most places on Swan St - this one deserves to!
There is just an incredibly welcoming vibe to Demitri's Feast, my eyes were busy for ages, hopping around a wall turned into a scrapbook of memories and Greek pride.
You immediately see the Hellenic influence on the breakfast and lunch choices: feta, Greek yoghurt, feta, ouzo, feta, whitebait, and of course more feta.
Wow! Some of the best Greek food I have had! So simple yet so tasty and authentic! I had the prawns and they were just right! The taramasalata was my favourite! Definitely coming back! 🤩

I had lunch with my partner at this Greek restaurant in Richmond. The dishes are good and the staff friendly and substantial. The dolmates-style stuffed courgette flowers and lamb chops are excellent. The glass-covered outdoor at the back is very nice

Delicious Greek food. Small but fine wine list. Fun, friendly atmosphere at the bar - where you can eat your meal. Plenty of gluten free options but take care if coeliac because the "gf" potatoes are cooked in a deep fryer that is shared with non gf items.
Best food and fun atmosphere, had a great night really felt like part of the family even it was my first time there, cannot recommend highly enough, loved it
