Food was really nice definitely a hidden gem. Authentic Thai dishes and the service was great definitely we will
Be back. Thanks for looking after our family tonight.
If you are looking for a tasty Thai meal in an old school restaurant then this place is a very good option for you. The interior of this place looks like a restaurant from the 90s. They give you a bell to ring when you are ready to order or you want to call your server. Thai style restaurant is located on church street. You walk into the door and it feels like you walked back into time. The decor of this place looks like it used to be in the old times. I was escorted to my table by the host and was given the menu and a bell to ring when I was ready to order. I ordered a Tom Yum Soup, Pad Thia noodles, Roti with satay sauce and Thia red curry with rice.
My partner and I had dinner here. This is an old school restaurant that looks like it hasn’t changed its decor in a very long time.
Not that it worried me at all, in fact it was quite fun. The service was excellent, really friendly and attentive.
We shared a non vegetarian mixed entree which was really good. We had a massaman curry duck for the first time which was also delicious. The duck was cooked really well, there were no bones and the curry was good.
We shared a Pad Se Ew chicken which was tasty and the noodles and veggies yummy. The Jasmine Rice was well, rice lol
They serve some good Asian and local beers and
some good wine option too. Oh and it’s byo, yay!
Overall we had a really good night.
Always walk past this place thinking it looks super cute and boy, is it. Love the casual and homey dining vibe where you're left alone until you ring a bell to order, but given a basket of prawn chips and satay to munch on while you decide. Took a while to pick, but finally settled on my go-to: veg fried rice, roti and curry (north Thai style). Veggies were very large and the same in both dishes. Lightly cooked so they maintained a bit of crunch. The curry featured pineapple, an interesting and welcome addition. Both also had tofu, pan fried as opposed to deep fried or raw/steamed, which is far superior. Roti wasn't oily in the slightest, which was also appreciated, although a slather of satay is my recommended alternative.
We only ordered via Deliveroo so I can't judge the restaurant in person, but the food was prepared quickly, so we were impressed. The prices are really reasonable, very competitive.
My thoughts are that it would have been good to have chili flakes included with the Pad Thai, usually Thai restaurants put this on the side or in a container. Also, I thought it was bizarre that they put pineapple in the Massanan Curry... that's a first! Also, didn't like the thigh chicken in the satay sticks... would have preferred breast chicken
I've never been to their restaurant, but we always get our Thai food from Thai Style via Uber. The prices of this place are very reasonable for the size and quality of the food, and they always pop in some free crab crackers. Their food is tasty and fresh, and the coconut rice is delicious!
Ignore the decor and focus on the food, which is always served fast, in generous portions and pretty tasty and is great value for money. Today's Masaman curry and Pad Thai were flavoursome and they cater to your appetite for spiciness - a big tick in my book. The chicken was a bit overcooked for my liking. However our work buddies come here often for a quick bite and it's amazing to get a takeaway cooked lunch for $8 anywhere in Richmond. Consistently polite service and quick turnaround.
Delivery was quick, well priced and bloody delicious. Good portions, quality meat and tasty flavours, nothing too salty or fatty, the green curry was spot on too.
Haven't eaten at the restaurant but this place is great for delivery! Ordered thai green curry (vegetarian) and chicken phad thai. Food came quickly and was delicious, with big portions too.
Richmond's hidden secret!! Yummy yummy food and very affordable!! We had a banquet and everything we had was very tasty!! Highly recommend!!
Fabulous take away Thai. Delicious, creamy red curry with good quality cuts of meat. I love the Mixed Entree options- a great way to sample a variety of appetisers. Satay sauce is delicious and the Gra Thong Tong is like nothing I've tried elsewhere. Delivery is always prompt. I'm a regular!
The best Thai food in the city!!! We always get delivery - it's free over $25 (score!!) the portion size is huge and flavour is amazing. Packed with vegetables and meat. Recommend to anyone!

Inconspicuous in the midst of Church Street, you will only find this home-style eatery if you are looking for it. My friend and I ate here on a Monday night after an energetic dance class. It was perfect for a
The place looks terrible but the food was fantastic! Don't judge it by its cover!
Words cannot describe, amazing!. The service is absolutely amazing, quick delivery, amazing customer service and staff that truly go above and beyond. 63 people on another website rated them 4.7/5 and honestly i can see why.The food was the best iv had, and they are so generous with portion sizes for such a good price. I had problems paying online and they offered to (and already started to) cook our food while we sorted out paypal - with no guarantee we would actually call back and pay! Even though the problem was at my end they gave us complimentary entrees and drinks, i couldnt believe it. And arrived within 30minutes! I cannot wait to actually go into the restaurant next time - but we have days worth of food to get through already!!
I've had takeaway here a few times and also lunch - i love it! The food is fresh and delicious. I personally think the restaurant deco needs an upgrade!!!!
I had takeaway from here via menulog the other day and it was beautiful!! The satay sauce is so so tasty! I got the vegetarian coconut milk soup which was so tasty and perfectly balanced with chilli. I ordered the Thai salad (garden salad with satay sauce), vegetarian curry puffs (served with a delicious sweet dipping sauce) and the vege soup! All for $20. So satisfying. Will defiantly be ordering again!
We get home delivery about once a month, it's quick delicious and not too expensive
Please make your milds MILD. I LOVE the food here. it is fantastic. But the last few times I have ordered the green curry as takeout and have specifically listed in the comments tom 'please make it mild' it has come so ridiculously spicy I cant even eat it. It's spicier than a medium or normal curry at other places. It can't be a mix up as the container even has 'mild' written on it when it arrives.
Please please listen when your customers ask for mild. Also the rice was still crunchy in my last order and sometimes the chicken tastes a little reheated and not like it has been recently cooked.
Love this place, been coming here for a few years. Love the tom yum soup, curries and Thai salads. Super friendly staff too!
Love this place! Sat on my own while I waited for a friend. The staff were so attentive and friendly. Cheap, tasty meals and friendly service. Will definitely be back!!
Super tasty red beef curry and chicken curry puffs - the girls who work here also really lovely and friendly and remember you!!
Best Tom Yum in Town. Located just outside East Richmond Station, Thai Style is one of my favourite Thai restaurants to visit in Melbourne. It's reasonably priced, has a welcoming atmosphere, and the staff are friendly and attentive.
This is the restaurant that got me addicted to Tom Yum soup, and I have yet to find a place that does it better. The chef is happy to tweak dishes at your request, so I tend to order the vegetarian Tom Yum soup with the addition of noodles, as I have it as a main. It's an enormous bowl, replete with tofu, mushrooms, broccoli, carrots, fresh chili and spears of fragrant lemongrass. The flavours are so vibrant that they're almost overwhelming - it's like having a symphony playing in your mouth.
Finish off with the simplicity of chilled lychees for dessert. Wonderful!
Excellent service!! Authentic, delicious food at a great price. Chef is so lovely and when you dine it there are complimentary entrees and desert if it’s quiet. The maître d gives patrons a bell to notify when you’re ready to order, so when it’s busy you don’t have to wait for a server.
My friend and I ordered medium-spicy vegetarian noodles for the first time at thai style restaurant. The taste was marvellous. The chef and staff was courteous to cater all the reservations and asked us and made sure about everything we wanted and didn't want in our dish.
I literally had to call them to confirm that I wasn’t reading the family deal wrong. So much food for $48, I was in disbelief. When it turned up it was delicious and good quality food. In under 30 minutes! New favourite spot close to home.
Best Thai Food on Richmond.
This is our go to place for Thai food. Always very fresh, clean and never greasy. Very polite and attentive staff. Unassuming from the front but delicious food and great value.
Bit skeptical before ordering but was pleasantly surprised with the flavours, quality, quantity and freshness of the three dishes we ordered as take away. Highly recommended.
The food is always served fast, in generous portions and pretty tasty and is great value for money. Our work buddies come here often for a quick bite and it's amazing to get a takeaway cooked lunch for $8 anywhere in Richmond.
The best service and thai food i've had in Melbourne, have been going there for years! They delivered my food free today when I realised they had moved locations and I didn't check, which was so kind of them. This is a lovely family business and will continue to be a regular. And they accommodate for vegans very well! :)
