Had an amazing vegetarian Pho in the restaurant, great atmosphere and the service was awesome! Takeaway is great as great!!
Best pho in town! If you're after the best Pho in Melbourne then this is the place for you. Hands down this is the best beef broth we have EVER tasted!
I ordered size M but the proportion was bigger than I expected so yayy. The soup did taste really nice reminded me so much of vietnam. There were a variety of beef in the bowl so was tasteful :3 The broth was soft and flavour absorbed and so were the other parts. Overall, a 5/5 is deserved and I would come back
😱Lizzie’s first impression: literally been coming here since I was a child.
🍩Lizzie enjoyed: I never stray away from the pho with beef balls and fresh sliced beef. The beef is always fresh and they’re always generous with the noodles. It is simply affordable and a perfect meal for this winter.
🍅Lizzie did not enjoy: it’s not your glamorous restaurant but it doesn’t need to be as the food is so authentic.
🥇Lizzie rates overall: love coming back here time and time again
Highly recommend. The pho is REALLY delicious, the soup of pho is tasty and the price is reasonable, I tried special beef and chicken combination and my friend tried beef combination, which are all delicious. Springroll and vegetables are fresh.
We brought home a beef pho and a bun bo hue from Pho Dzung. Both did not disappoint.
There were very generous amounts of ingredients expertly packed for our takeaway order. The pho noodles were soft and silky while the bun noodles were cooked just right. The broths took some of our breath away.....the beef soup was seasoned well while the spicy soup was complex and perfectly spiced.
They gave us an array of sauces including the all important sate sauce....extra points for that. While it was not the best pho we have ever encountered, it was very close to a perfect score of 5.
Had takeaway sliced beef brisket pho from here today. Got the regular size pho and the portion was really big. Generous amount of beef in particular, which was sliced thin and well cooked. The soup was clear but was prominent and tasty. However, it honestly tasted a lot like MSG so I'm not too fond of it, although yes I know the soup base of lots of pho places are loaded with MSG too.
The pork spring rolls were quite tasty and had a good amount of pork mince in them rather than filler. The skin wasn't very crispy but that could have been due to it being takeaway.
If I came back I would definitely be satisfied with the small sized pho.
My friends have been raving about this place and we decided to come here for lunch on a weekday. You can customize your pho to have toppings of your choice which is nice. I ordered the beef and beef ball pho. We also ordered a side of prawn spring rolls to share. The pho broth was clean and delicious. The beef was pink and tender as well. My friends and I were very satisfied and will come again.
Best pho I’ve had outside Vietnam by far, I like the beef & my partner highly recommends the chicken. Best pho on Victoria st & I’ve eaten at them all several times
As authentic a pho experience as you'll get in Melbourne. They know their job, churn out the best pho they can. Hearty broth, tasty noods, quick service, endless tea, all the condiments. This is about food. If you want service, go to Maccas. Mic drop.
You should definitely try the special broken rice dish it was very delicious. It was quite empty but therefore I didn’t have to wait for my food at all. Staff is also very friendly especially the waiter (he is very cute btw). Also very reasonable price. Check this place out guys!
Had lunch here today. It was surprisingly empty. I thought it would be packed like its CBD contemporary. Ordered the vegetable pho in small and two rice paper rolls. The broth is delish and they are very friendly... unusual for a cheap Vietnamese eatery. The wait was long given the empty restaurant. Total was $15.
Pho Dzung Tah Dinh. One of my favourite pho noodle in the Melbourne. Special beef noodle is a must to order even others may like chicken as well. Iced coffee is also a must try.
This was one of the busiest Pho places, it has been a while since I have been here and noticed it was relatively more quiet these days. The pho my sister had was still great and full of flavour, but the traditional broken rice I ordered was not very enjoyable with my pork full of gristle and not tender at all.
I would come back for the pho soup only.
Delicious soup base and generous servings. I ordered the medium serve and almost couldn't finish it (super filling and lip smacking). One of the best phos in Melbourne, I reckon.
There can be improvements in regards to cleanliness. We tried booking a table for 6 through Zomato but we never got a reply or confirmation. Luckily they weren't busy when we rocked up. One young staff doesn't really speak English but the lady owner is super lovely and friendly.
I've been coming to this place for a year. Will definitely continue to come back for these delicious pho for a great price.

Pho Dzung has pictured a very cursive/squiggly font and it takes googling 'richmond pho' to get the name of the place. After our last experience with asian food (fly's leg in the food) we were iffy, but we're ready to give it another shot!. A big clean looking interior with mirrors that ran the length of both walls, the set up reminded me of another Vietnamese eatery we'd been to in Springvale.
Spring is here! Although the weather hasn’t felt like the season has changed, that’s for sure. What better way to warm yourself up than a great big bowl of pho, with that in mind, let us get into today’s review.Pho certainly isn’t hard to come by on Victoria Street, however, Pho Dzung Tan Dinh’s stellar reviews led us to dine here tonight. The interior was a lot cleaner than some other Vietnamese restaurants, with white and non-sticky tables, and a variety of condiments on the table, a promising meal was expected.

Excellent pho for an excellent price. Medium size is perfect for only $10 and flavour as well as service is right on point. Worth the trip to come down here.
The most famous & traditional pho place in my heart. Been here since we were in uni , still come back from time to time , if you try you will be addicted to their soup & beef & noodle . There were just once a waiter seems new , served my pho 10 mins after it was ready , the beef was all over cooked . But we still love it anyway . The best .
The staff assured me that the vegetable pho had no beef in it. It certainly looked and tasted beef free but I was of the belief pho always has a beef base. My review entirely hangs on this, but assuming it's correct, and I have no reason to doubt them, then, yes, very good, eat here well in vegetarian peace. The medium size was far too much for me, small size looks like a large so very economical too. Cheap, asian and vegetarian, my goals for any meal!
Really cheap, authentic and tasty pho. Beef was a bit chewy though. We chose this place because it was well air-conditioned, which was a big plus on a hot day. Service was quick and efficient.
Traditional Vietnamese restaurant. Food is above average but the restaurant itself looks a little needing refreshment. Food was nice and the broth was tangy and tasty. Good place for cheap eats.
We went here last night with friends. I had used Yelp to help find a place. Not the best restaurant from the outside or inside on Victoria but the super quick service and HUGE meals make up for it! I had a small and this was big, my partner had a large and couldn't finish! Between 4 of us with a starter to share was $12 each- awesome value!!!
Highly recommend this little gem
Best pho out there. Obviously really reasonably priced. Pretty spot on every time and staff are friendly.
The Beef Pho is pretty decent. The aroma was nice, possibility a little be salty however once you throw the viet mint, some fresh chilli, lemon and some bean sprouts in the mix it balances out nicely. I wouldn’t say this the best I have had but it certainly got some flavour and the ingredients were fresh – this makes all the difference.
Probably the best Vietnamese Noodles east of Melbourne - If I lived closer - I'd probably be there at least once a week. I like - very much.
Tastes like home! I’ve been dying for a good bowl of pho, especially now that it is FA-REEZING down under! Located in the CBD (Russell/Lonsdale) and in Richmond (Victoria Street), you can get a bowl of pho for under $10…hells to the yes! Add an iced white coffee (viet coffee) and I’m in heaven…it’s like I was home asking my dad to make me coffee and my mom to make me pho. Fills you up and keeps you warm! I think I’ve been here like 5/6 times in the last month lol. Yea, I like pho that much :-) The place is a bit dingy but what do you expect for dirt cheap food? The utensils and plates are clean, the people are quick and the food is consistent! Great for lunch! You can get a small, medium, or large. I’ve never even dared to see what the large looks like…I imagine bigger than a baby but that’s just speculation. A medium should do you good. And to boot, they even have vegetarian :-) Huzzah!
I drink all the broth because it’s so delicious that it seems like a crime to let it go to waste. I always feel deceptively full afterwards, and half an hour later I’m peckish again. I really should have ordered the crispy spring roll
... the real star of the show is the soup. A bit less sweet than most I’ve had, it’s ridiculously aromatic from hours of simmering, and the best part is that there’s little to no MSG in the soup, so you won’t feel sick from drinking it all up.
According to the staff, the soup is cooked for 4-5 hours everyday, which is probably the reason why this restaurant is so famous. Not many places these days spend so much time and effort in preparing soup for customers so it’s very exciting for me when I come across restaurants such as this one. The soup is very flavoursome and tastes even better by adding basil, bean sprouts, lemon and chilli.
Pho Dzung Tan Dinh's exterior and interior is probably as typical as any pho restaurant in Melbourne can be, from the images of a smiling cow and chicken in the front, to the sticky and cramped tables and televisions showing the latest Vietnamese musical shows. Their pho isn't too far from typical either, with a rich aromatic broth and good share of vermicelli noodles. Though a bit frugal with their use of spring onions and coriander in the broth, Pho Dzung Tan Dinh will not disappoint many pho lovers (too much). However if you are someone whose Vietnamese parents make pho almost regularl
We've been intending to try Pho Dzung so today was a good day for that. It's very typical Vietnamese local restaurant decor wise with a menu on the wall, mirrored tiles and a thermos of tea on the table along with condiments and cutlery.
It's funny though, what a horribly cold and rainy spring day will do to you, that and the fact that she had studied in Melbourne in her high school years and had vague memories of the place and wanted to go back to the places she remembered. On her little
I've been eating here for over 15 years. This is my favourite pho restaurant in Melbourne. Beautiful broth, well cooked noodles, tender meat. The spring rolls are good too
A good choice for Pho in Richmond. This place used to be the most popular Pho restaurant in Richmond. Tourists with maps took the 109 tram down to sample its Pho. However, I didn't quite like it then because the broth had too much MSG. In recent time, it must have changed its recipe and the broth is quite nice now. It remains a solid alternative to other popular Pho outlets in the strip such as Pho Chu The, I Love Pho. Vincent, the owner is a nice and friendly guy. He is the president of the Richmond Asian Business Association, the business organisation who was behind the Viet-feature gate at the entrance of Victoria St.
One of the many pho joints on Victoria St - and one of the best. We started with some fresh prawn spring rolls, these weren't great and a bit dry and chewy. Definitely needed the sauce with them. The fried ones were probably better. The chicken & beef combo pho was pretty good. The broth was super tasty and after adding some chilli oil it was perfect. Very cheap and quick service. Just over $40 for 3 people. I'd return for sure!
No doubt the best pho in melbourne.
Definately my favourite pho joint on victoria street. dont come for the ambience or service. just come for some delicious pho, the beef brisket, beef sausage and beef special are my faves.
Quick service, nice pho and cheap eat. Overall, it's a goodie!
Great!. Used to be a regular here before finding a more local place that I could justify. Pho here is very good IMO, just the way I like it (on the savory side). Busy/noisy environment best suited to group-outings. Service is very quick to order and serve. Prices are hard to beat. Great place to get a pho-fix!
Best Pho I have yet had in Melbourne. Icon chef Chong Luew was also in to eat which is a good indication. Fresh, clean and nourishing. Friendly.
Very nice pho. Nice waiter, authentic Vietnamese "iced white coffee" Cheap too. Recommended.
There is so much good Asian food in Melbourne, but if you are craving a bowl of savoury Vietnamese pho, go to Pho Dzung in the Richmond District, which is home to a large Vietnamese community. When we went to Pho Dzung on a Sunday for lunch, we found it p
