I can see why this pizza shop has been going for years and years.
I got a couple of take away pizzas tonight. And they were really really good! I’ve never had a pizza with so many ingredients on one pizza.
I got a bbq chicken pizza which was delicious, and a supreme pizza full of prawns and other ingredients. Both pizzas were excellent. Almost perfect.
The ingredients were very tasty, and this is definitely one place you have to visit. I don’t know why it’s taken me so long to try this place myself lol.
Mmmnn bit I’m definitely coming back!! 😊

Pizza base was nice, toppings decent amount. Good portion size.
Garlic bread tasted like plain bread from supermarket, could be improved.

Update: I've gone back here a few times now. I have to say the pizza base is definitely my favourite in the area. It's a nice chewyness and not too thick. The pizza isn't buried in cheese like other places.
I would like a medium size pizza as the large is expensive while the small doesn't give enough for leftovers.
Silvo's is a Richmond institution for sure loved and respected by many. Have been coming here for years and never disappoints. Great quality pizzas and pastas they way they should be the old fashioned way! Great portion sizes and great prices for fresh food.
The interior is spacious and comfortable you are surrounded by a friendly, warm family environment. Not a pretentious pizza shop that serves overpriced tasteless food.
Very unlike another pizza shop on Bridge Rd, heading towards Burnley St I visited......total rip off without a smile!
Great to visit Silvios before or after footy or A-league games. Cant go wrong, love the sporting items on display.
Always grab a few pizzas here when we have friends over to watch the footy. Great thin and crispy base. Super fast service. Pizza, beers and footy. Can't go wrong!
For good wholesome traditional Italian food you can't go wrong. This place is a Richmond institution with cheap and cheerful yummy food. My favorite Pizzaiolo Simon is also back so the Pizzas are now even better than before! Highly recommended.

Ate here last night with the girlfriend and her parents, we figured it seemed like a nice easy sort of restaurant.
Found ourselves super impressed with the service and food. The place feels a little like the La Porchetta from your childhood memories, easy going and friendly. The food also has that nice authentic "Australian" Italian food taste that sometimes gets lost at these places. When I fixed the bill up it cost for 4 people what it often costs for 2 when we done out so my wallet was also pleased.
Would recommend to anyone after a easy family sit down pasta/pizza meal to stop here you won't leave disappointed.
Have been going to this Pizza mecca for the last 25 years and as usual we were not disappointed. They take care of all our idiosyncratic amendments to their standard pizzas.
All ingredients are high quality and fresh and the pizzas are lovingly made. The smells as piping hot food comes to your table is just out of yhe world.
Good honest local pizza, and there is not a lot of good pizza in Richmond sadly. Takeaway was ready in 15 minutes, ordered half margarita half salami and was really happy.
If you've eaten a lot of pizza in Melbourne these pizzas will be familiar. If you're not from Melbourne then you will love them. They are over priced but is what to expect in the inner city.
Absolutely love this place. Always busy and has survived on bridge rd for a very long time and I understand why. The pizza are spot on and the gnocchi carbonara is absolutely tremendous. Entree serve of pasta is huge
I dropped in on a quiet Tuesday evening when there wasn't much bustle on Bridge. This place was steady, with plenty of sit-in diners and people queuing up for Pizza takeaways. The Tortellini was excellent and served up large. Nice areas to sit street-side and enjoy the ambience. Inside there are plenty of tables and the decor is clean, modern and funky. Choice!
Very Reliable. I love this place, pizza is always quick and tasty.
And when every other pizza joint is closed, you can rely on Silvio's to be open.
Lots of pizza. Was a bit awkward when we arrived as No one came to seat us, but once seated the wait staff were lovely. The pizzas were yummy not gourmet but had a wide variety of toppings available and a thin base. The pasta was a bit too spicy and a bit lukewarm but still tasty.
It was good but there are definitely better places out there. Pizza was tasty. Garlic bread was terrible and poor quality.
Delicious!. I usually make pizza's at home but when I need to buy them I always go to Silvios. Great quality toppings and the perfect base! Hasn't change in the 8 years I've been going there.
Richmond institution. Been going to Silvio's for many years. Service is almost always pleasant and the pizzas are typically flavoursome. Usually find the one issue with their pizzas being not enough cheese. Most recently had the Special, chock full of ingredients except for a shortfall in olives; on the flip side, it had a little too much onion! But still bloody tasty and I'd say the best Richmond has to offer.
Good pizzas are hard to find, which is why Silvio's is our go-to pizza place in our area. Not sure about the pasta though, we've tried the gnocchi a couple times and it was overcooked - we'll stick to the pizza for now.

My mate likes this place more than me. My best mate in Melbourne loves Silvio’s. He’ll walk a klick from his house to get there (because it’s near-impossible to park a car on Bridge Road), passing by a pile of other Italian restaurants to get there. When I flew down to Oz, it was where he wanted to take his wife and me for an informal “welcome back” dinner because it was the last place we all ate together before I emigrated 3 1/2 years ago.
As for my opinion, I’ll say Silvio’s isn’t bad. They’ve got a nice pizza oven, their thin crusts aren’t tough or burnt, the house red wine by the glass is smooth, the joint is lively and the service is efficient. But sorry, Australia, you do many foods well, only pizza is not one of them. (With the exception of Lebanese pizza.) There’s not enough cheese, and most Aussie pizzas for me are not as memorable as the the divergent styles of ‘za I’ve had at various places in North America and Italy. Australian pizzas aren’t AWFUL, they’re just sorta generic and pretty much the same style everywhere. Silvio’s would fit in on Lygon Street, and I don’t mean that as a compliment, because I consider all the Lygon restos (with the exception of the now-closed Baltasari) to have cookie-cutter food.
My mate favours the Silvio Special, which is the pizza equivalent to “a burger with the lot.” It’s generously lashed with Aussie-style shredded bacon, capsicum, onions, black olives, mushrooms and just a bit of mozzarella atop it all. We had it this time, same as we did when I departed in 2009. I always want to try something different, but I’m not going to be the wanker who says “Let’s not have what YOU want, let’s have what I-I-I choose.” Particularly when he’s paying.
Awesome italian food!. I have been to Silvios a few times now with my family and I have to say how impressed I am with their food. Their pizzas and pastas are the real deal very authentic and my favourite dessert - nutella crepes. Try them they are devine! We always get great service and we leave completely satisfied. We will most definitely be going back!

Old school pizza. Its old school and it's delicious! I love pizza and after many years of pizza being my preferred takeaway....this is the best! If you're after gourmet this is not the place to go. It's old school traditional....Silvio's special with salami the best!
Amazing food. Went here for my (small) birthday lunch and it was fantastic! The food was really great and I liked the decor. However the service wasn't great; there was only one guy taking orders and he didn't really seem to know what he was doing! I think he might have been new, but he shouldn't have been left alone if that was the case!

Silvios Pizza House & Italian Cuisine continued to go above and beyond to accommodate my special dietary needs and to make sure I have a delicious Italian dish for lunch! My orders arrived on time, carefully packed and still piping hot. Today, one of my favorite dishes - the vegetarian pasta with home-made beef ravioli was made to my taste and cooked to perfection! Compliment to the Chef and thank you everyone. Til next time
It's been a while since our last slice from here & from what we could tell this staple of Melbourne's Pizza 🍕 restaurants has changed ownership.
Food is still pretty good however the service level & attention to the customer has dropped off badly, either a bad day or just disinterested in the actual job.
Little more "hello" & less sad face please Silvio's ...

Staff is friendly and when I had a miscommunication on an order, they dealt with it in an effortless way.
