The vegetarian spring rolls were absolutely delicious. Crunchy on the outside and a good fresh filling inside.
The chicken pad see ew was really good, with a good amount of chicken and veggies and steaming hot.
The vegetarian curry was awesome. It was peppery spicy, and full of flavour.
Overall this was a great dinner and the prices are very reasonable. This place is definitely worth a visit.

It was my first time to try for thai food and was absolutly love it.
You must try crab salad at Krua Thai was so beatiful.
Had awesome food served warmly by staff. They took care that all food was vegeterian since we preferred veg food. They also made slight changes to servings per our request. Definately recommended.
Note that the menu on zomato is their takeaway menj..dine in menu is different in terms of offering and prices.

Been here twice now and both times the food was delicious ! I ordered the pad Thai with prawns , Thai green curry with chicken and a selection of entrees . This place is definitely worth trying for some delicious Thai food ! The only flaw is that the service is extremely slow - we were the only ones in the restaurant besides another couple and had to wait around 15 mins to order drinks , but other than that it was exceptional !

It's Black & White .....
Who says Black & White menu isn't cool anymore?
The menu on Zomato doesn't do justice, it's one of those common print of "not-art", just colourful, crappy font set up with some 88 dishes that confuses diners on what they do best. It cheapened the place, their set up and what they are offering now .... must be the previous owner, judging by the previous Zomato comments.
Thank God for the new owner and the new menu; in a binder, classier; much slimmer, simplified and still has some 55 dishes on it, they just can't help themselves in dishing out good Thai food :-).
Good, pleasant service, although they are not Thai as one Zomato reviewer suggested, quite pro-active and efficient, waitresses are all in black except the Manager/owner, so you know where to go.
Great "timber' frontage, the interior looks bright and classy from the outside, big windows, simple, not too cluttered, wooden chairs and tables that are clothed and lined with butcher paper, nicely set up, it feels "Thai". Mixed and matched crockery, Thai Blue White China, standard small heavy stem wine glass, however they looked after the ladies well, they've got their Copper spoons and forks while we are getting standard stainless steel ones.
Our orders were mostly spot on, they left out the Panang Chicken Curry in the kitchen but no drama.
We've ordered their "mini" Krua Thai Samosa - good; Pandan Chicken - must reorder next time (one of the best in Melbourne); Chef's Special Crispy Pork Belly and Chinese Broccoli, a few tough Pork Belly with that beautiful garlicky stir-fry sauce; Massaman Beef Curry - pretty good, tender meats; Grilled Chicken, lightly marinated nicely and some Coconut Rice, Jasmine and a few Roti.
My only qualm on dinner; they run out of Duck Curry at 19:40 and their dish size/portion, they were just too small, especially that Grilled Chicken.
Parking was difficult and is probably the only thing that would prevent us from going there in the near future.Well, we've got the best table for four in the house, by the window, semi-booth style.

Lovely ambiance & attentive staff. Overall great Thai. The Tom Yum soup had lots of pronounced flavors through it & delicious fish. The grilled pork was super tender, and divine in taste, as was the one of the wok stirfrys we got with prawns. What was a dampner was the roti bread was not fully cooked through. We had to send it back as it was super doughy & even the 2nd time it was still too doughy to eat.
Hmmm. Just read recent reviews. Our experience....We went on an Ouffer deal two courses plus a drink for most items on the menu. They were very busy, an indication of good food to us, and we were not disappointed. The service was painfully slow as they were so busy but we were not in a hurry. (Gave the ladies a good chance to catch up on the gossip)
We would definitely return. Food was yummmm and serving size was as usual for any Thai restaurant.
Was craving for Thai food last night and we went hunting for a nice Thai restaurant around Richmond. The food there was not the best thai food we had but was ok. The portion were less compare to what we paid for. What we really like was the interior of this restaurant and the waitress was so nice and friendly. Overall not a bad place.

I often feel that dish at Thai restaurants are too sweet, but their dish had just the right balance of sweetness and spiciness. Every dish was spicy but not too hot, and very flavourful. I most enjoyed the Green curry.
Survive was friendly and quick. The restaurant was clean and had nice atmosphere. All dish were 20% off during lunch time!!
I've now found my go to place when Jinda is busy!!
They still do my favourite Jinda dishes - soft shelled crab with curry sauce and fried barramundi with the lovely smokey tamarind sauce...so glad I finally went.
Look forward to trying out their specials on weekends.
One of my favs in Richmond. I have only ever ordered takeaway/delivery, and it's the only Thai in the area I will order. Tried and tested multiple times and never disappointed.
Delicious authentic Thai food! My all time fav is the Tom Kha Soup, which has the perfect amount of tang to keep it fresh and not heavy. Tried out the soft shell crab with panang curry, the sauce is addictive! The chicken satay is always a winner with its velvety peanut sauce. BBQ pork is also quite lovely. All in all, a fantastic meal. You can also BYO. Love!

Got David Hewitt out of her cleaning project and went to eat. I gotta report, this was some really yummy Thai food. Probably deserving of a score higher than 3.5, but I'm starting to save those 4 and above scores for the "remarkables" (my new word). There was nothing really wrong with this meal. Despite a dining room that was full to the brim by the time we departed, service was prompt and good. They apologised for forgetting a refill on the water but from there onward the servers were very quick with water service. The papaya salad was real spicy but I actually didn't mind it as we had some rich dishes and they countered each other. The deep fried soft shelled crab with panang curry sauce was AWESOME. I also liked their chicken wings but would rather try a different item next time before eating them again. I also like my wings a bit larger. The BBQ pork was tasty and tender with two nice dipping sauces. The peanut sauce on the chicken satay was perfect. Lastly, their coconut rice and sticky rice are also on point and exactly what you would expect find in a Thai restaurant.
Overall a very pleasant dining experience with comfortable ambience and good service. Food was quite authentic and delicious however on a pricier side. Do note that the menu at the restaurant is completely different from Zomato's and needs to be updated so that customers can be more informed

Krua Thai has been around for a long, long time. For many, many years this was my most regularly used delivery option and for good reason. While the quality of the food has not changed, it certainly has a significantly greater level of competition to deal with. Regardless, I still order from here fairly often and it is also a well appointed restaurant if you feel like eating in.
Having eaten most things on the menu I will say that my more frequently ordered options are the the mixed entree for a bit of variety, although the hoy jor is probably my favourite starter overall. The prawn tom yum soup is excellent, and still one of my faves in town. The crispy fish salad with apple and the gado gado certainly hit the spot - although the former is a salad in name only. The laksa isn't a bad option, although not quite at the standard of places like Laksa King. The pad thai and pad see ew are both good, although as every single Thai restaurant I've ever eaten at in our fair city they are light on with the non-noodley ingredients. The usual suspects amongst the Thai Curry gang are all here as well, and are very pleasant if not particularly exciting. If you're going to order rice go for the coconut rice.
If you are after some take-away Thai this is certainly an option that I strongly recommend if you're in the delivery catchment. They are just lucky Jinda Thai doesn't do home delivery!
Edit: apparently the same family owns Krua Thai as Jinda Thai. Well there you go!

Great place. Nothing over the top. Genuine service and proper food. Cooked by someone who actually care, served by people who listen and are very attentive.
Small gestures go along way. It's all part of the experience.
My favourite place for Thai. Parts of me doesn't want the secret to go out about how great this place is. I want it all to myself. But they deserve to be known. Great place.
Don't worry about the other Thai places your trying to look for. Great parking in the side streets, have a laugh, have some Thai, go home and like/comment on this review and tell me how right I am.
I love the food here as it has a nice flavour and very refreshing. We got oysters for the starters which are surprisingly good. I don't normally eat oysters but this one is fresh and the sauce has a little bit zingy taste which makes the dish stands out. The fish is the champion of the night as it look beautiful and very yummy!
the ambiance of the restaurant is really beautiful. For the food part; although the portions seemed small in my opinion, the taste of the food is really nice. I recommend the deep fried baramundi in tamarind sauce.
What a delightful restaurant to have a meal with your friends! Jinda Thai is fully booked and we r so lucky to get into krua Thai. Good service and quality food! Price is pretty reasonable too. Can't wait to get back here again with more friends!
Krua Thai 2 is a nice little place. A cosy fitout with carved wooden decor. Humble menus with the items typed in both English and Thai. A pleasant lunchtime buzz when we went there on the weekend.
Jinda's Other Project. 4 of us ate here on Australia Day and we were very impressed. We live in the area and normally go to Jinda Thai for our fix but due to it's increased popularity, rarely can you just drop in and land a table. We tried Krua Thai II as we were told it's by the same owners as Jinda Thai and we were not disappointed. We tried curry puffs, spring rolls, chicken larb, crispy chicken basil, pad thai and a beef massaman curry. Apart form the beef needing a bit more slow cooking, the flavours of all dishes were amazingly tasty and fresh. We have since ordered take-away (via phone call and pick up) and are taking the in-laws this week.
One of the best Thai food I had in Mel.

Sleeping at the wheel. Despite the food being of a good quality generally, it is not a good look to have staff behind the front counter eating and talking while ignoring a restaurant that was slowly filling on Saturday night. This is one of the few Thai restaurants I have ever experienced which charged our party $3 for satay sauce with our roti. Pick your act up

We were taken here by friends and I have to say we were very impressed. The food was faultless. Tasty, fresh and superbly cooked. The staff were polite and attentive and the modest bill was a very pleasant surprise. Why cant all restaurants be like this. All in all, this was a particularly happy experience and we are most eager to return at the first available opportunity.
Always Nice Every Time I Eat There.... I have been dining at Krui Thai 2 for almost 10 years and I can say its up there with one of my favourite Thai restaurants. The Green Curry is the yummiest I have had from any Thai Restaurant in Melbourne. I have taken a lot of people there to eat and they have all enjoyed it immensly. It has infact become a regular dining haunt for a close friend of mine when we catch up. Highly recommmend!

Don’t Rock My Boat Noodles. On Saturday and Sunday, Krua Thai 2 opens for lunch and offers a special menu devoted to street style soups, stir fried noodles, rice dishes and traditional Thai salads. I visited on a Sunday to discover a bustling restaurant and waiting staff well & truly under the pump.
My boat noodles soup with pork ($9) was simply sensational and the best of its kind I’ve come across outside of Thailand. It really was divine and comparable to what I’d expect on the street in Bangkok.
They also offer the range of soups in a small serving for $6 which is ideal if you want to try a few selections from the unique weekend only lunch menu.

This is the best thai i have had in melbourne, since moving here 2.5 years ago. it is fresh, delicious, authentic and so well priced. i vote for a visit on the weekend so you can eat an array of noodle soups as well as nam tok, laab, som tum, moo ping and so many other good things. my meal here took me straight back to a country i love! i will be returning!
Great Thai food. First time been there. The service was great, food served fast. We ordered fried barramundi, chicken wih bamboo shoot, tomyum and curry prawn for our people. Plus one ice tea. Not cost more than 100. It's quite affordable, you could enjoy the real Thai food.
Not bad but nothing spectacular. Good value if ordering off the take away menu, food was delicious nonetheless.

THAI DIE FOR. If you happen to be lingering about the Punt Rd end of Brigde Rd any time soon or if your not, get on your bike and DINE AT KRUA THAI. This place is up there with the best thai cuisine I have eaten to date. It's almost on par with Patee Thai. That's right. You will be greeted with a smile the door and delivered to a suitable table. Your eyes with soon discover a typical thai dining room, like most throughout Melbourne. Nothing special, but cozy.
The Penang Curry is out of this world. Creamy and plentiful. The Chicken in Pandan leaves is more than lovely. The leaves are fried i assume, and become crispy and slighty salty, possibly from the chicken and sauce inside. You have to try these before your mains. There is a few incredible fish dishes on the menu, so you have to try all of them . There is not one that has too much or not enough of something. It is B.Y.O aswel as the alternate. But if your buying wine, I'd bring my own as the menu is rather sheer. I've eaten here a bunch of times and recommend it to my friends. It's great for take away and they deliver also which is a bonus for that rainy sunday night with a bunch of friends in your bed.

Enjoyed the polite and gentle style of service although it was a bit slow. Food was nice but not exceptional, the rice was a bit too hard and there was a general lack of vegetables.
