I live around the corner from this place and was dying to give it a go. Four of us visited on a Sunday night recently and its glad to say we didn't walk here, we might not of made it back! We were absolutely stuffed.
We ordered the big boy, which at $120 for 4 people was great bang for buck. Huge amounts of sides and meat. All tasting great. I've had better ribs before but for the price we payed I was definitely happy. I think sometimes Melbourne restaurants can take American BBQ to seriously and glam it up. You just have to take this place as it is, a American fast food joint. No fancy table cloths and super exaggerated prices.

The serve is big which matches their name. I am a small person so I can only finish the burger leaving the potato salad untouched and half bottle of lemon lime bitter unfinished. I had the pulled lamb shoulder combo, the lamb lacks flavor. It may be because I did not put in the sauces from the bottle on the table. It is interesting to see they put in large paper towel on each table for customer to use as serviette.
Awesome southern style burgers using brioche buns, and perfectly cooked seasoned fries. Seriously, exactly what you want in a good burger and chips ! Plenty of condiment options, and great service. All round, one of best quick and easy places to eat on Bridge Rd, never disappoints!

We had the “Big Girl” which consisted of pulled chicken,
pulled brisket, pulled pork, lamb ribs with potato salad and onion strings as
the sides.
The menu listed this as enough for 1-4 people - we found this
easily serves a minimum of 3 people, probably 4. Between the two of us we tried
our best to get through it all but there was a lot left over on the sides and a
fair amount of the ribs. For the variety that you get it works out as good
value for less than $20pp. The flavour was good, with nice, strong sauces. The
sauces definitely represented the different regions of BBQ across America. One
had a nice vinegar based sauce, another a smoky warm sauce, and another a sweet
BBQ sauce. All the meat was delicious, really nicely cooked. The only note
would be that it wasn’t steaming hot when served. We probably wouldn’t order
the potato salad again, the pickle flavour was definitely prominent in it.
Loved the onion strings – the crunchiness of chips but then the sweet flavour
of onion made for a winning taste.

Really good! Tasty food and good size serves! Best to go with a group of friends so you can try eb everything and get one of the platters. Not the best place to go alone as its a bit pricey, if you do try the zeeman burger it's spot on! Loving seeing mac and cheese on the menu lately, must kee it on there.
Got a huge feast for 6 people, everyone left absolutely bursting, so luckily we had walked there and got some exercise on the way home.

This place is delicious and get your money's worth compared to Le Bon ton. It's better priced and the food portions are bigger including the sides. Unfortunately, we were constantly disrupted by a homeless guy throughout our meal but near the end of our meal, the guys in the store were kind enough to give him a bag of food. Other than being disturbed during our meal, my friends and I really enjoyed it and would happily go back there. Especially for there potato salad and ribs and wings
A nice cheap and easy place that I have come back to many times. Great meat platters and pork ribs, though the selection of sides could be improved.
Hands down best ribs in town! We got the "Wings n Ribs" and I can honestly say the pork ribs are some of the best I've ever had, although I can't say the same about the wings as they were a little dry. The onion rings are amazing too but definitely no need for their side salad, just stick to the pork ribs! On top of the great food, the location is great and you can booze here too, all in all it will cost you, food and drink are pretty expensive but the servings are massive with a plethora of condiments to go with so bring your appetite!

I had the Dorothy and it was full of beef brisket and coleslaw and the meat was perfection. Partner had the pulled chicken and it was some of the best chicken around. Side of crunchy chips with coleslaw was perfect. We got 4 wings and im not much of a wing eater but these were huge and tasty. Can't wait to come back!
This place sounded awesome from the start and didn't disappoint great American style burgers, chilli cheese fries, fried chicken and loads more.
If you're looking for a meaty greasy American feast then try this joint. Went here with fam and ordered the Zee burger, Carolina burger and combo Ribs and Wings, which all satisfied my cravings for American food. The ribs is rather dry compared to those from Tony Roma's, but not as dry as those from Corky's - if you ever swing by the south (Memphis), it's to die for!

Love the chips! One of the better American-style restaurants around. My go-to burger is usually the Zee Man, washed down with Dr Pepper. Great place to hang out and have a comfortable lunch with mates. That being said, a little bit too expensive for an every day work lunch - might be why the place is always pretty quiet.
I went here last night having never even heard of it. This is an American style meat restaurant, with a nice easy too choose from menu. I order the zee man burger with beef brisket, smoked cheese, BBQ sauce and fried onion.
This was a nice filling and really tasty, exactly what I was craving which made it very satisfying. The crunch of the onions and the thickness of the meat worked really well. The meat was nicely cooked and it also came out fairly quick too. The bun was sourdough and it all worked well together. A friend of mine ordered the jumbo wings and didn't really like them and thought they were overpriced.

Hands dirty. Came here with my sister on a friends recommendation. Great place just don't be afraid to get your hands dirty! We were very impressed with the food and service all round it was a great casual dining experience.. Will be back soon!

The first positive sign was the large rolls of paper towels on the table. The next was the menu. And the last the food.
This place serves delish meaty fat-full dishes that will satisfy the biggest of your greasy cravings. Although we only had burgers that were great and we'll surely be back to try the ribs!
Finally some American BBQ in Richmond. This place is real good, went to the one in Caufield and was satisfied but the experience here was much better. Got the little boy and shared it and it worked out perfect. For me the highlight was the brisket but it was all amazing. Will be back here time and time again
Big BBQ love. The wafting BBQ deliciousness can be smelt all along Bridge Rd, so we could smell the place before we got there. Decked out a little like an American burger place, there's booths and share tables. The menu has burgers, ribs, wings and fries and even peanut butter pie! The root beer bottled is the best I've tasted since I was last in the States. The wings were super tasty, the sauce us Southern style and very strong. The only disappointment was the wait staff forgot one of our orders and food-wise, the pulled pork burger which was a bit dry and frankly, boring with its pickled like veggies. Definitely head head if you're up for a meaty fix. Ps. It's a very messy eat, the place has helpfully included a huge roll of paper towels which is needed and appreciated!

Big Boy BBQ impresses with a broad ranging menu of something for everyone. Come here for a massive meat fix, or choose items that are not so heavy. The kids will love it here too, and mine have repeatedly asked us to return. If you place Big Boy BBQ in the fast food bracket then its a great option for what you get. A quick burger and chips does the business. They say it's about slow food, fast.
Awesome chicken wings and the pork ribs are the go here. Huge bits of meat and covered in saucey goodness. Generous sides which will make sure you're full at the end and cruisy music to eat to.
Really delicious American Style BBQ. The wings are amazing. The chips are also quite nice.

Not usually a fan of these faux American places, but this one is not bad. The food is good, location is in the centre of the galaxy and it is reasonably priced.
Absolutely love the pulled pork Carolina burger. Soooo good! Highly recommend.
