I am an avid, avid, lover of these pizzas. I've never actually been to the shop, I'm a lazy delivery kinda gal for my pizzas. And...The Hawaiian, with big ham slices sings so me, and The Mexican is a heartbreaker. Such simple easy pizza nestled softly over almost traditional bases, and delivered quicker than a cuppa in a hailstorm.
pizza was really delicious!! New mangament were friendly and awesome. Great little place on swan street, and will get even better once the new mangament make their own changes. Definetly recommend for anyone in the Richmond area, you won't be disappointed

Excellent pizzas!. I haven't visited Don Fernando's for a while for various reasons, but it's hard to forget their excellent pizzas and tacos. My favourites are their chilli chicken and also Hawaiian pizzas (and they will add extra condiments if you ask nicely!) although I like everything really.
Like a fine wine (or tequila?), Don Fernando's have only improved over time. My girlfriend swears by their tacos which she says are the real deal.
Apart from the quality of their food, it's also a great place to fuel up before the footy (the food prices at the MCG are shocking now) or a concert. A slice of pizza and a cold Coke for less than $8.00 is terrific value for money.
The proprietor and their staff are also very friendly which is also an increasing rarity in these days of increasingly impersonal service. Highly recommended!
Amazing tacos al pastor and pizza, really handy for after drinks events and footy (great location), excellent trade hours and friendly staff.
Amazing tacos and burritos in a different variety of Mexican food . Despite the busy night the staff was very keen to serve my meal in short period of time ! Yummy gracias amigos!
Tacos!. Really good fresh food. Open late. Perfect price and size to fill you up before getting a taxi home. Recommend the tacos and burritos, and apparently they deliver too! Fast becoming a regular stop for me.

Went to this joint last weekend and it was delicious, probably very drunk but I loved the food and they also make burritos and hot dogs not just tacos and pizzas, all my fav food.

Good Tacos. The tacos were good, even if a little difficult to eat without making some mess. We tried the pork, beef and chicken tacos, the salad ingredients were fresh and blended well with the marinated meats. The pork taco was a little sparse (very different to the photo here on Urbanspoon), just some meat with pineapple a small amount of onion, but the salsa and marinated beef worked well together and the chicken taco was better again. Staff were friendly and helpful, and it's likely we'll stop in again next time we are in the area.

Is Don is Good. Stumbled on this place accidentally via Urbanspoon and decided to detour past on the way home from work recently.
Don Fernando’s is essentially a brightly lit take away pizza joint with a couple of low tables and some bench seating by the window. It would seat about a dozen customers at best, although I’d imagine most folks would happily go with take away or eat and run.
Whilst the lion’s share of the menu is devoted to pizza, they do also offer a limited selection of soft corn tacos. Given the store’s owner and operator Fernando is Mexican it’s probably no great surprise that the tacos being served up are credible.
I tried the Al Pastor, a pork taco with onion, pineapple and coriander. The ‘Al Pastor’ refers to the meat being cooked and sliced from on the vertical grill in the same way as a doner kebab. This is the accepted way to eat tacos on the streets of Mexico City. I also sampled the Carne, a taco made with marinated beef, tomato salsa & guacamole. Both tacos were exceptionally fresh and right up there with some of the better tacos I’ve tasted in Melbourne.
Whilst currently they’re only trading Thursday, Friday & Saturday nights, I gather that may alter over time. Similarly, it wouldn’t surprise me if the Mexican menu expands once they become established.

Awesome new pizza and taco joint on swan street droped in after a big night out and was not disappointed with scrumptious pizzas and to die for tacos. Groovy decor and super friendly staff top it all off. Highly recommend a visit. It is rumored lady gaga did !!
