Always delicious, best Thai food. Have never had any dish (eat in or take away) that hasn't been excellent. Satay is a favourite with coconut rice �

I’ve been to Spices & Pestle restaurant before & I think it has improved in food & service. I ordered the Phat See Ew vegetables & tofu. It was tasty & the portion was very generous. I asked for some fresh chili & it was fantastic, super hot! For dessert, I shared some fried ice cream & banana roti. The fried ice cream was one of the best I’ve had. Service was friendly & attentive, we kept having our water bottle replaced even when it was only half empty!Amazing job Spices & pestle.

My score 4 stars. J & I lived at Riddells Creek for 9 years until Oct last year & got takeaway or had eat-in dinner at S&P quite regularly. Best restaurant in RC & up there with the best Thai for the Macedon ranges & Sunbury. Nice but dark décor, dimly lit - can be a bit noisy when full. Best to book as it fills rapidly around its peak time (which is earlier than Melb restaurants) - esp later in the week. They also do a roaring TA trade. Staff are pleasant & you can BYO - we always took a fresh crisp Riesling. TA > we would always have Tofu & Vego curry (nice) - Green (spiciest & least sweet) or Panang (creamier, but a bit sweet). Also we would have Spicy Basil noodles w Tofu & Veg – nice chilli heat & the noodles sticky with the glaze sauce (yum). My only criticism was that the tofu slices were always too big (nit-picking). Dine-in > We would have all our fav dishes that don’t travel well. Entrée – Vego curry puffs (yum) or the Mixed starter selection. Mains - Dry green curry of soft shell crab (top notch) – started off as a special many years ago & never got taken off. Phat Talay curry – nice flavour & selection of seafood, so never tastes “samey”. The Kitchen fried rice is fabulous – the only one we ever ate at a restaurant, as I do a mean one myself (I actually improved mine after tasting theirs)! If my mom was visiting, we would add either Sesame duck in plum sauce or Duck in red curry (& get them to dial the chilli right down) – she really enjoyed both & she’s not an adventurous eater. Overall, very good food for a small country town. RC is lucky to have them…

Peking Duck - various different stuff inside but taste great
Dry green curry of shof shell crab - crispy with fresh cubed tomatoes and cucumber and green curry sauce
Pad Thai - noodle abit overcooked but beef was cooked perfectly
Tradition Banana in Sticky Rice and Coconut ice cream - very similar with Indonesian dessert, but coconut ice cream was the best!
They have other choices of dessert as well.
We had an incredible meal here last night - we ordered Peking duck, chicken skewers and spring rolls for entree with some roti and peanut sauce. Our mains were really yummy - the Singapore noodles were with bigger noodles than you normally get but really tasted great. It was piping hot, fresh and flavoursome and very cheap - we rolled out, all full up and it was only $34 per person in a party of 5. ❤️
Love the food here I always order the Panang curry, great curry and rice and it’s never disappointing, the ice cream for dessert is delicious too
Lovely Thai food. The Thai Beef Salad wad one of the best that I have had. We also had a chicken sturfry which was great. Good value and nice service. I only get take away from here but the restaurant looks lovely to dine in as well.
Best starters i have ever had !!! First time i ate Thai food and it was the great experience to have Thai food like this !! Crispy crab with chapati was good !!
Great tasty food, good prices. Beautiful decor. Service was good considering restaurant was 3/4 full, later on a Sunday night. Cant wait to go back. Only issue was beef was a bit chewy, but everything was awesome.

This is possibly the best regional Thai restaurant in northern west environs of Melbourne. Excellent fresh ingredients, friendly service and quaint village location at the foot of the Macedon Ranges. Meets expectations on every occasion. Have never been disappointed after many visits over the past years.
Great little Thai Restaurant and definitely one of the best restaurants in the district. Food is always fresh and delicious. It is always busy and difficult to get a table , so best to book. As they are always busy service can be slow. Very good value and great atmosphere.
Hands down the best Thai spicy fried rice I've ever had. And the rest of the food was just as amazing, perfectly complemented by friendly and excellent customer service

Good Local Thai Food. This is a bustling, noisy little restaurant in a quiet county town that is serving decent Thai style food. The meals are fresh and tasty and the prices are very reasonable. We eat there for a quick meal when we don't want to cook.
Absolutely amazing everything!!! Duck is Devine! Special crackers are delicious and service is impeccable.
Only complaint is it's a little squashy and extreme loud when there's boisterous tables of people.
