One of the many good fish and chip shops in the area. I ordered the Africano and the food was amazing and the portion was huge. My friend ordered the grilld seafood and salad pack with chips and it was tender and delicious. Would definitely come back anytime!
We were seated promptly and the food came really quickly which is always good. We had the grilled fish and seafood platter and the normal battered fish and chips. The grilled fish and seafood were fresh and texture was fantastic. The batter was good, could have been a bit lighter and the chips could have been crunchier but overall quite good.
Hunky dory is the best fish and chips around. Not greasy, fresh ingredients and full of flavour. The side of brown rice or a selection of their salads adds a healthy element to the grilled fish or Calamari. I’ve been numerous times and always walked away satisfied. Price point is more that of a pub fish and chips rather than a take away place but it is very worth it.
Wide selection of freshly prepared seafood accompanied by excellent side dishes. Our party enjoyed respectively the Barramundi, Salmon, Salt & Pepper and Chargrilled Calamari with most of us going for a Greek salad on the side. The salads were loaded feta cheese, olives, cucumbers and tomatoes. A welcome surprise compared to the bland lettuce ‘drops’ one often gets served as such establishments. The main courses were succulent and worth the money spent.
Went here after the gym with my mate the other week because I got uninvited to a birthday party in the city. I was looking forward to the city but understand why I was uninvited.
Ordered the Hunky Dory with extra dim sim. The coatings were thin and crispy. It can get quite busy so you may be waiting a few minutes to be seated.

My favourite joint for fresh and bang for your buck seafood! I have been here numerous times and have never been disappointed on the quality and taste of their food, and it always comes at a reasonable time alongside with good service despite how busy they can get. My particular favourite is their calamari, which I continue to rave about to this day.
Had a meal during lunch break. It’s a nice place. There are tables outside with umbrellas. Spacious and cool dining space inside. Order Fried Pack. Large portions. Well fried. Good tastes fresh. Reasonable price. Will definitely come back. However, potato cake is a bit oily to me.
