What a crackin hideaway reataurant. The service was fantastic, the venue and atmosphere is intimate and the food is exceptional. Mum gets the carbonara at every italian restaurant and said "its a big call but honestly its the best I've had." Its a fine example of using high quality ingredients and cooked right. Weve found our new go to place for all occasions. Wish dave and the crew the best of fortunes.
We finally went to Micheli's last night and it was amazing. The most gorgeous food and soooo much of it. Great value. Everything was spot on. The staff were just lovely and very helpful and we wobbled out feeling so full! This restaurant is well worth a visit and I promise you, you won't be sorry! The pasta, calamari, fries and pizza were gorgeous and you can't leave without trying the Italian Donuts .... OMG - they were so good! Make sure you book as it is really popular! Highly recommend this restaurant!!!!!

Most authentic Italian food around. Always my favourite place to go when eating out! I feel like it's my second kitchen! I highly recommend the homemade gnocchi and the coffee there!
Service was excellent. Food was amazing. Coffee was awesome. We had the gnocchi, mushroom parma.....just devine, pizza and doughnuts......truly decadent . Small and unassuming restaurant that you would just pass by and not necessarily notice but incredible food. Do yourself a favor......notice it. We will be back......loved it.

This place is very busy. Pizza dough here is different and nice but I have had better. I prefer crispy and chewier dough. The gnocci here was ok not as good as what people rave about. Our table was double booked and ended up having to sit outside. The (manager?) Was apologetic and offered us a free side to compensate which was a nice gesture hence an extra star ;)
Ordered 4 x pizza and 4 x pasta for takeaway. Food was really delicious and we were given a free garlic pizza too. Highlight was the Sicilian pizza! Will def order from here again

I came here on a Sunday with my partner for our 5 years, it was a great atmosphere and the staff were friendly! We had the garlic and cheese focaccia meanwhile my partner had the Ricotta Gnocchi and I had the Penne Pollo... all I have to say for it was DELICIOUS!!! The gnocchi was cooked to perfection, light and fluffy and the Penne Pollo was full of flavour! We will be definitely coming back here with our friends and family! Thankyou for an amazing night!
Small cosy restaurant, not a big restaurant would definitely recommend booking if wanting to go around peak time. The pasta there is to die for! The paperdelle pasta and gnocchi is made with delicious creamy sauce, serving size is also very generous!

Ordered the ricotta gnocchi with choice of sauce- we got the bolognaise and a ยฝ pizza lamb (kebab inspired I feel) and ยฝ supreme.
The gnocchi was to die for! Soft, not rich at all with such a deliciously made sauce, literally a week later I still crave that bolognaise sauce! The lamb was beautifully cooked and soooo soft, the supreme was a bit more average. Service was pretty good? But seemed a little tired. Not really a concern though.

Best wood fired pizza I've ever eaten. An awesome place to dine on a cold Melbourne's winters night or perhaps any season.. the coziness, the staff, the authentic taste of Italian food just gets me every time. You must try the Nutella deserts they are amazing and on a whole new level. Make sure you book ahead as this place can get packed.
The best calamari weโve had. Pasta and gnocchi were also fantastic and servings were very, very generous (neither myself nor my partner could finish our mains!) We will definitely be back to try the pizzas and the doughnuts that we just couldnโt fit in.
Quick service was an added bonus.
Be sure to book as it is very small and very busy. The one slight downside was how crowded it was however that doesnโt take away the 5 stars earned by the amazing food!
I and my friend came to this place in a really cold night and we hadnโt booked the table before we come. But we still get the table outside for around 30 minutes . The staff were super friendly and helpful. She asked us for turning the heater and changed our table inside when they have one. Which make me feel so so happy and satisfied for spend more than an hour to go there. The food were quite night and fresh. And we got some red wine with it. Besides, the price was surprising me coz we eat a lot but the bill was only around $100 for 4 peoples. We were really full and had to left to food.
Excellent service! First timer to this restaurant and it didnโt disappoint. Best lasagne Iโve had in a restaurant, with the sauce full of flavor and pasta sheets perfectly cooked through.
Had the Half and half pizza (Italiano and Mushroom) which was delicious with a crispy crust and flavourful toppings.
Finished off with the doughnuts with Nutella and caramel sauce which was a perfect end to our wonderful meal.
Will definitely be back again! Make sure you book ahead as this place is very busy and full House by the looks of things.
Went here one Saturday night without a booking; first mistake! This restaurant is small so if you want an inside table probably book first! The lovely staff offered a table outside right under an outdoor heater, which ended up being perfectly good. Cosy atmosphere and attentive staff throughout the night. We ordered the garlic focaccia pizza to start and it was to die for, so delicious! Mains were excellent too, pasta is cooked well and big portions which is always a positive. Food is on the slightly pricey side but well worth it for quality fresh Italian food. Would travel for this food and also would return! Recommend highly.
We travelled all the way to ringwood to try out Micheliโs pizza, pasta and grill! I have heard their pastas and food are fresh and it was the best.
Well they did not disappoint! Although the restaurant is a bit small we got a little time slot to have a quick meal.

Super friendly staff. Delicious woodfired pizzas on an extremely more-ish, chewy crust. Great balance of flavours, and good quality, generous layers of toppings.
The lamb pizza was a clear winner. The only downside was a touch too much fetta on the veggie pizza (for my taste), but it's an easy fix to remove some :)

Went here for dinner on a Saturday night. It was very busy, so it was lucky for me and my friend to walk in and get a table straight away. Booking is highly recommended.
Ordered a half/half pizza (prosciutto & veggie lovers) and also gnocchi with neapolitan sauce. Food was really good especially the gnocchi. It was soft and flavoursome.
Downside was that it was on the pricey side. The table for two was also too cramped for us and we only ordered two dishes TO SHARE. I couldnโt fit my plate on the table when the food was brought out so we had to eat it straight from plate it was served from.
Other than that, it was great and staff were nice and attentive.
This is the most random hidden gem which is next to nowhere! Space is not the appeal here, but the food is delicious! The homemade gnocchi is their standout dish, although the Italian donuts with dipping sauce for dessert are seriously decadent. Really reasonably priced and it just has this authentic vibe to it.
Ricotta gnocchi oh my goodnesss, so filling and so good. Their pizzas are also amazing but be sure to book a table as it is small and it fills up fast. Amazing donuts too!
I had the pesto gnocchi and it was fantastic! The food was affordable and those Nutella donuts finished the night off with a bang. Staff are really friendly and it's a really cozy place perfect for winter. If you want your taste buds doing the Macarena come here!
A must try if you love authentic italian. Pizza's are fabulous, the meatballs and spaghetti are out of this world. If you get the donuts get the caramel and the nutella sauce. Small place with parking down side streets off the main road. Book ahead for a table most nights. Outdoor patio seating also. Soul satisfying food ๐

If I have special occasions or want a great local place to have delicious Italian, Micheli's is my go too. I've been to Micheli's twice and both experiences were great.
Ambience: Family owned resturant with a home like feel, the restaurant decor is kept classic and traditional. The outside area is great for summer nights, too cold for winter.
Service: All the servers were excellent and kept a high level of professionalism. They catered towards our needs and were lovely and calm even when the restaurant was visibly very busy. Abit on the slower side during dinner time but understandable due to its popularity.
Food: Had the gnocchi with bolongnase sauce. The gnocchi was light and fluffy, and were very big in size compared to the usual. Servings are generous and well worth the price. Pizza was great, had the Chorizo pizza before and would recommend over the prosciutto. Puffy crust with a thin base and balanced flavours and toppings, nothing overwhelming. Mushroom Parma is also great, big protion although could have been better flavour wise.

Been here 5 times and the food is always great. Lamb pizza is a favourite, loved the Roma too. Had a pasta dish for the first time and it was amazing. Service is very friendly. The only reason it loses half a point is that the restaurant is a little small and cramped. There's trouble getting your food on the table at times but the food quality is great, the sizes are large and most meals can be shared. Most people don't finish their meals.
Had wedges too and they were perfectly cooked.
Micheli's Pizza, Pasta and Grill is my favourite local Italian restaurant. I have visited this restaurant twice with my partner and every time it has been perfectly on point.
For the first dining experience, I ordered the Italiano Pizza. Not really knowing what to expect I was pleasantly surprised to discover that their pizzas were authentic/gourmet and very generous with their toppings. Although I was unable to finish my pizza due to its large quantity, I was able to take home my pizza in a takeaway pizza box, which appears to be a courtesy they allow most diners.
The second dining experience was also faultless having ordered the Chicken Parmigiana with Mushrooms, Salad and a side of Chips. Once again the portions were very generous and filling. Fantastic value for money.
I look forward to our next visit. The high rated reviews are well deserved for their fantastic food and service.
Are here to celebrate a birthday. Service was good. Good very good and portions generous. The basil pesto gnocchi was delicious. Gets very busy so you need to reserve a table in advance. I will be coming back.
The food was absolutely delicious. The service was wonderful. Nothing to fault, maybe other than the food coma afterwards but that is probably self inflicted. Looking forward to coming back!

Amazing food and attentive staff. This gorgeous little family run restaurant has the most authentic Italian food! We came back from Italy and were craving a meal from this restaurant, it never disappoints..the pesto gnocchi is a must and the "meat" pizza (meat lovers) is always a winner. I would also recommend the focaccia to start off with its delicious and of course you MUST finish on the Nutella calzone which is big enough to feed an entire family!! ๐๐
The food is really good. A little bit pricey for the area. Venue is tiny and has a lot of tables forced in, really not enough room between guests.

Went to this place for my birthday and im saving it on my lists of go to places when i need to feed the masses (in my family, masses mean 6 people ๐). The portion sizes here are huge! Comparable to those of sofia but with much better quality and taste. I looked this place up before we went and was told that the portions were big. Note to self: don't order when you're starving. We ordered 5 dishes for 6 people and we were rolling out of the door. We got the penne pollo, marinara, mushroom parmagiana, supreme pizza and frito misto. I don't think my asian eyes could get any bigger when the food came. It was huge and my, was it yummy. If you're looking for a home-y family meal, this is the place to go. Staff were pleasant. The place was a bit small and cramped. Would advice booking as there are not many tables. Not much of an ambience but i dont think thats what the diners here are looking for anyway. Overall i think i can only come to this place once in a while as the meal itself is very rich and heavy. However definitely a winner if you want to feed a big group without emptying your wallet. Or perhaps just a casual dinner for 2 on a friday night without feeling the need to dress up fancy.

These pizza's are fantastic. Thin, chewy perfect based and lots of toppings. We had a marinara with big juicy prawns and calamari and a tropical....the chips are great as well. highly recommended.
After living in the area for 5 years and driving past this little place a million times, I'm so glad we finally got to spend an evening here! It's small but more spacious than it looks from the outside. We initially booked a table outside but the weather was rainy & cold so we kindly got a call from a staff member in the afternoon to see if we wanted to move inside, which we did. Beautiful food and lovely staff...gnocchi was amazing & pizza enormous. Staff came & chatted at the end of the night & gave us a complimentary Nutella donut each to try...yum! We'll definitely be back.

Despite it being extremely busy on the night of Mother's day, we still received wonderful service from the staff. After every meal, we will have a waitress coming over to us to check if we were satisfied with the meals. Portions were a decent size, we ordered a pizza, lasagne, seafood risotto and the nutella pastry for dessert.ย

This place is one of the best Italian restaurants I've been too! I've had the lasagna twice & although it's as big as my head and I can only eat half, it's delicious!!! And the Italian doughnuts, omggggg they are heaven, especially with Nutella. So good!

Real authentic Italian food made by a family who puts nothing but love into their food. Great customer service, has a very welcoming and friendly feel when you first enter and beautiful set up. I ordered the potato gnocchi with bolagnes sauce and the prosciutto pizza and I could not fault any of the dishes. The gnocchi was hand made and the sauce was rich. The pizza was definitely my favourite. The pizza dough itself was crisp and had a delicious garlic and herb base which definitely sets it aside from ither pizzas. I don't live very close to Ringwood but it was definitely worth the drive and will be back to try the dessert
This is a quaint little place with humble character. Just a few things to advise people. The tables are small and it can get quite noisy inside,but don't let that turn you off. The service here is wonderful- friendly and helpful and not at all pretentious. The gnocchi is lovely and light, the calamari was delicious and cooked perfectly. Went here for dinner last night. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, food was pretty average we ordered vegetarian pizza, chorizo pizza and a fettuccini carbonara which was very rich had ALOT of butter and ALOT of cheese. We also had some doughnuts with Nutella which was pretty good.

Came for Valentine's Day dinner, had high expectations and all were exceeded. I ordered the pumpkin pizza which was honestly the best pizza I've ever had and my boyfriend had the ribs which had the meat falling off the bone and the bbq sauce was mouth watering. The atmosphere was welcoming and comfortable and to top it off, I was given 2 vouchers for beauty facials as one of the waitresses is a beautician. We are now trying to find an excuse to come back to Micheli's asap, definitely would recommend.
This place is a hidden gem in the eastern suburb! I've driven along Heatherdale Road for many times and have never spotted this characteristic restaurant that is right next to the railway station. Found this on Zomato after leaving Eastland with my friends last Sunday, we had our dinner table outside and our dining experience was exceptionally great! The staff was friendly, pasta and pizza were delicious which came in generous portion at very reasonable price.
Unassuming little place tucked away on a slope. Generous size, super crunchy based pizzas. Excellent dough, medium thickness and very well cooked. Crispy and tasty and plenty of quality toppings including shaved leg ham, not the shredded stuff. ย We sat in the front courtyard, casual dining, attentive and friendly service. Chilled water on arrival in quirky little cups.
The music could have been a little more customer friendly rather than dance music thumping out, but not really an issue after it was turned down. This place would be even better if it had larger premises. Food is truly good and will visit again.

Excellent food, the authentic italian donuts are to die for -each donut is fried fresh and paired with the salted caramel sauce and vanilla ice cream, you will find a serving of 8 will not be enough. The restaurant is quite small so can get very noisey on a busy night (which is every night) so opt for a table outdoors in good weather.
This place is a little GEM! - Was suggested to try the Carbonara!! Amaaaazing - the waitress and waitresses that served us were so nice and looked after us so well with a good laugh. We then tried the Nutella Doughnuts.. and... mind blown!! Best dessert I've had in a long time where we were just glazed over staring at each other in happiness!
This is the 10th time that I have visited this little Restaurant. and, I intend on going back soon so I can complete going through the entire menu.

Great food and service. Unfortunately food takes a while to come out (45 mins for us on a Sunday) outside stools are pretty uncomfortable but can't fault the food.

Best Italian restaurant in the state, worth the drive from any where. Pasta great...pizza great which is a shame because it makes it so hard to decide what you want to eat. Donuts are great but the apple pie pizza is to die for, definitely the best thing on the menu.
As I am a student if I have the funds this is the perfect dining option of choice for date night.
WOW what a hidden local Italian gem! I've been here 3 times now and each time the service has been remarkable. The chefs and the waitresses are so welcoming and always smiling. The menu is full of your favourite Italian dishes from pasta to pizza.. there really is something for everyone. They are so generous on the serving sizes and wow, its affordable. I am so pleased with the quality of Italian here!
The many pizzas appearing on the menu all looked so enticing that I couldn't simply pick one. I ended up picking half Calabrese and half Lamb, and it was certainly not a disappointment. The base was thin and delicately crunchy, and the toppings were all quality, fresh ingredients. The experience at Micheli's surpassed all of my high expectations arising from it's reviews, and I would even say that the pizza at Micheli's was the best I've had since being in Italy.

Booked for a party of 25, as the restaurant is small, they booked the whole inside for us! Food was amazing, great serving sizes, staff were very accommodating, restaurant is so quaint. Everybody was so happy and we loved that the corkage was per bottle instead of per person.

Try the doughnuts. Given the location (surrounded by light industry!), this little restaurant (in a rather random Tudor-style chalet) is a surprise. Food is reasonably priced and tasty; varied list of pizzas and the pastas are huge. Italian doughnuts are a must for dessert. Eating in is recommended though --- we have ordered takeaway previously, been advised of a 45 minute wait, and then showed up to discovered virtually stone-cold, rubbery pizzas waiting for us. Book ahead for a table - it's busy on weekends.
Little Italy Meets Ringwood. I have been meaning to try Micheli's for a long time now and finally got around to trying them! Wow the instant I walked in it felt like a Little Italy street eatery.. The decor, the music, the smells, all were authentic, mesmerizing and alive!
I had Gnocchi carbonara and my husband had a bolognaise penne with marinara mixed through and both were amazing!!
The only negative thing which is really a positive is their Italian Doughnuts with melted nutella!! Oh wow oh my oh yeah baby!! I was so stuffed that I almost had to be wheeled out haha!! Beware they will send you into a merry chocolate coma!
Service was amazing and the new girl Sam was delightful as was Bree. Both gave us service with a smile and were accommodating!

Great neighbourhood Italian. Micheli's is less than a kilometre from home, but somehow we had neglected to try it until now. I'm really glad this has now been remedied, as it is a great (and popular!) local spot. Despite its under-the-radar location in largely industrial Heatherdale Road, clearly word-of-mouth has led a lot of people to cotton onto the place. And no wonder - the food is great quality, and served in very generous portions at a reasonable price. My husband and I shared a pizza (which was more than large enough to satisfy both of us) and with a bit of help, our two year old ploughed her way through a large serving of salt and pepper calamari with chips. The staff are very friendly and accommodating, and one of the owners even brought our daughter a little ball of pizza dough to play with so that she could 'make pizza' while she waited for her dinner. Of course this kind gesture had the bonus effect of keeping her occupied and quiet, but it's really nice to see little touches like this to make you feel welcome. We will definitely be back here often. My advice is to book though - it's only a small place and obviously has a very loyal following.
Amazing!. One of those rare places which provides both a good volume of food and a high level of quality. BBQ sauce on their ribs is to die for, pizzas are fantastic and the delectable Nutella donuts will blow your mind. Definitely recommend it!
Nuts About Nutella. Upon entering, the first impression of this establishment won't necessarily bowl you over however the provisions (most importantly) are sincerely top notch. Generous portions, proceeding juicy BBQ beef ribs and perfectly seasoned thick cut chips. The alioli could have shed deeper creaminess though. My special two-cheese thick-crusted Margarita alteration was cheese-pleasing but the highlight of the night was the scrumptious hot cinamon and sugar dusted donuts smothered in warm Nutella and ice cream with a side of caramel sauce. Glucose ecstasy! Micheli's, might I suggest restocking your supplies ahead of schedule if it's a habitual recurrence that you deplete your proteins come the fall of evening shifts. Alas the chicken wings, and chicken fillet for pizza and pasta toppings and lamb were fresh out. Nevertheless, I'm revisiting when my lusting for your infamous Nutella calzone endears my nutty senses. ;)
Mmmm nutella!. Pizza was great! definitely will be back to try the pasta and work our way through the menu. was in heaven after the Micheli's donuts with Nutella.
In love. I adore this place. I've only been once, but was so impressed by the friendly service, including the chefs themselves. it's so rate to find such a quality, affordable feed in the area so I am thrilled. they provided a homely and warm atmosphere. can't wait to return!
Great Place. Ive been here twice and both times its been great. Really friendly service and amazing food. The pizza is delicious! The pasta wasn't amazing though, but the pizza definitely makes up for it. Both times Ive been too full to eat the nutella donuts which I've been told are the bees knees. Thats next on my to eat list. Highly reccommended!
