This place serves some serious coffee. Using Five Senses beans, the coffee is really nice and strong. Their pastries are amazing, so many options to choose from. When you go to Eastland and are craving for a great coffee, this is the ONE place to go!
I find it really difficult to resist a great pastry shop, and Brioche by Philip is definitely a favourite. I've been to all of the franchises as I can always rely on something tasty to enjoy. An afternoon shopping at Eastland required a coffee stop, so I head upstairs to the outdoor food zone to enjoy a treat. On a great corner location, it is easy to find and has a gorgeous pastel decor. With a lovely, modern interior and lots of natural light, it's a great spot to stop and relax.
I ordered a delicious lamington donut, and it didn't disappoint. That familiar, fluffy dough of the donut married well with the chocolate, coconut and jam filling. Just perfect with a great cup of coffee, which these guys also do really well. Service was very efficient and friendly even though the place was full. A good sign that this cafe is appealing to other patrons here too. I'm obviously not the only one who can't resist excellent coffee and pastries.
It's great to have such a high quality cafe in the suburbs! We visited on a busy weekend morning and the place was bustling.
We had the matcha latte, cappuccino and a latte. The coffee was strong and well roasted. The matcha latte was quite mediocre. I tried a chocolate and almond bronut and wow....it was a revelation! The rich chocolate was not overly sweet and I just loved the textures involved. Amazing!
I'm now a bronut fan and addict!
The coffee here is excellent. Strongly recommend ! I’ve been back a few times and it’s consistently good. Have also tried the Reuben sandwich ❤️
“Long black out the front thanks” I would sit outside in all conditions. Generally not anything to cold or during rain though. But if it’s warm and sunny I’ll be out the front. Theres just something about this place.
Yummy pastries and good coffee. Their bronuts are to die for, especially the chocolate one! Delicious pastries all round and worth stopping past next time you're at Eastland
For casual eating, yummy French pastries, baguettes and breads accompanied by flavoursome coffee and lovely staff; this is the go to place when you visit Eastland shopping centre.
Catch up with a friend who lives locally and Brioche was the venue of choice. Ringwood is quite fortunate to have one of these as the other four branches are very centrally located. The pastries are very reasonably priced and quite sizeable which further impresses especially given the quality.
The bronut flavour selection would be near impossible so fortunately we were focusing on healthy only today with savouries and hot beverages, all of which were enjoyable. Would try the chicken avocado baguette next time
Maybe it’s that I’d been traveling in the USA for the previous month, but this was the best cappuccino I’ve ever had in my life 🙌🏻
Pleasant, relaxed atmosphere in a light open space tucked away in the Town Square.
Coffee’s were fantastic; super tasty and full of flavour.
The bronut was super fresh and delicious.
Staff were friendly and welcoming!
This is easily now on my top list of coffee places in Melbourne.
Have only ever been here for coffee (well chai for me) but every time I’ve come it’s been really great! The vibes in here are really chill & also with windows all around it brings in some amazing natural light. Chai is always amazing
I’ve think I’ve been to all the cafe in eastland and this cafe is my favourite one so far. Great coffee and friendly staff. Keep it up. The cafe is on the top level, on the corner, so you might miss it if you’re just shopping.
Stopped by for afternoon tea before doing the groceries with the husband. Coffee was great and very smooth and creamy. Husband had one of their cronuts which looked delicious but turned out to be a little on the dry side, and I had a really tasty citrus brioche that hit the spot nicely. The ambience is great and service was charming.
Been here a few times, the coffee and cake / pastries are fantastic. Place is nice and bright and fresh. Staff are lovely people too!
Definitely a favourite place of mine for a quiet coffee.
I'm not exaggerating when I say these guys do one of the best coffees that Eastland can offer. But don't stop at a coffee. Their cronuts (or bronuts I think they're called there) are so good. Perfect 3pm pick me up 😉
They were quite busy so service was a bit slow but overall it was much enjoyed!
Beautiful bronuts...not too buttery and great warmed up! The matcha one was great. Nice to stop by for cake and coffee when in need of comfort food (who would ever say no). Coffee a little on the bitter side but could be personal taste or due to light milk.
Best coffee in Eastland and the whole of Ringwood. Consistent and great latte art. Customer service is fantastic and staff always remember my order. I have used up four coffee cards here (over 100 coffees) and am never disappointed with my soy latte! 👍👍👍👍👍👍
After spending some gift vouchers in Eastland we dropped into Brioche By Philip for a well earned coffee. Such a bright cafe with large windows and they even had s green planted outlook which you seldom get in shopping centre places. The glass cabinetry revealed the most delectable bronuts ever created. I didn’t actually know a bronut was a thing but clearly I’ve been missing out. We selected a laminating one and a Nutella stuffed, caramel glazed one. Both looked more delicious when served with our coffees. We also got a coconut & jam filled brioche that kinda reminded me of those classic macaroon. Coffee was also good but our focus was definitely of these very sweet doughnut (bronut treats). Get in there and try them while they’re still a thing.
First of all - what a hidden gem! The aesthetics of the cafe is very pleasing and the small touches make the ambience serene and yet funky. The coffee is amazing and obviously a true barrista at work. The food is pure indulgence! The staff are friendly and hard working. Did I mention how amazing the coffee was??
Craving my sweet tooth picked up a few treats. Well made pastries were just how they should be. So many options here was confused what to choose. It delivered
I had tuna with charcoal bun, the bun was dry and tasteless. The girl at the cashier was not friendly. Latte was nice. Great ambience with outdoor seating.
In the past I have sampled many of their sweet offerings, which have all been delightful... As it was lunch time on this occasion, I decided to have the lovely ‘Chicken and Avocado Baguette ($9.50)'. I ordered a latte ($3.80) made with their Dark Horse House Blend…
Pretty much every time I drop by Eastland I'll pop in here and grab a brioche-donut if they've got any left! Only thing I could fault is the filling can be really inconsistent. One day they'll be so much you need a spoon and one day so little you'll want to ask if the forgot to add the filling
Cute little cafe at Eastland Shopping Centre in the outdoor food precinct.
I think it only really does coffees and pastries which are delicious. 😍 nicest coffee in the shopping centre. Outdoor area is good if the weather is nice.

Excellent coffee, friendly helpful service with a smile. Excellent range of pastries, brilliant bread, yummy savouries and gluten free options. Eat in with great ambient music or take away. V clean. Seating both inside bright and uncluttered (newspapers avail) or outside with your dog. My dogs love the mini danishes. Really know their coffee alway perfect. Been a regular since opened. Has rush hours but worth the wait. Toasted spiced loaf unbeatable as are some of the mini loaves and specialized danishes. Adore the charcoal buns with tuna and salad filling always fresh. Water readily available. Every age and taste welcome. Staff really kind and helpful truly grnuinely pleased to see you. Range of specia
lised broughnuts and milkshakes should please all that want something a bit different. Coffee available in many wats never scalded and available in a mix or single origin. Great effort made to source exce@llent beans managers and barristas very knowledgable and always willing to help plus bonus cards available . A brilliant cafe
Best coffee ever. The smell is so inviting. I can't wait to return. Highly recommended. A very convenient location with bustling staff. Thanks
Tempted to try out the brioche and bronuts for a very long time and finally had a chance to do so! So many varieties to choose from, can't really decide..! The cream cheese brioche stood out from the rest and I also ordered the coffee bronut topped with chopped almonds.
The brioche was really good, on the outside it looks like the everyday bread and jam but the first bite leaves you wanting more. Best if warmed up.
The bronut was just alright, love the texture but I'm not really a fan of donuts anyways. The chopped almonds gives it a nice nutty crunch.
Will return for more.
Delicious strong almond latte. My friend lives close by and frequents Brioche by Phillip, I happened to be in the area and wanted to see what all the fuss was about. Glad I did! Although I was a little disappointed with how expensive my coffee was.... $5.30 😶 Cafe has yummy looking pastries, muffins and slices.
This place is top notch, it can't get any better. Fivesences coffee beans just make this place even better The coffee is always perfect! over time I have slowly fallen in love with the (cold drip) and the bronuts (white chocolate and dark chocolate) the combination alone is breathtaking. From now on this is my new go to! Definitely recommend for an amazing experience.
Great new found at Eastland for good coffee and cakes/bronut . Had my second visit today and still love it. I wouldn't say coffee is superb but it's descent and acceptably nice. I tried the white chocolate brigand strawberry jam bronut, they're both yumz
there're so much temptations in this bakery ... beautiful breads pastries and danishes ... enjoyed a ham & cheese croissant and pineapple & coconut danish with a cup of cappuccino ... awesome way to start the new year
Lovely pastries, drinks were average. Seating is also lacking with very uncomfortable wire stools outside.
Staff were disorganised with our pastries all coming out at different times despite being on the same table. Some were served with no cutlery, others with only knives and some with a full set. Prana Chai was milky and tasteless. Orange juices were nice. Coffee was okay but a little bitter/burnt.
Came here for a quick coffee catch up with a friend. Their coffee was decent 8/10, staff were polite. Baked goods looked nice but did not have the opportunity to try. It was a pretty standard cafe experience however nothing outstanding.
Had a single origin here today- hands down one of the best coffees I've ever had. Add in a delish dark chocolate 'bronut', and you've got yourself one hell of an afternoon. Top stuff team 👌
A bit swanky and hip for me but coffee good bronuts good (like a dirty puddle of filth the has gold at the bottom). Can't find too many negatives damn it!!!!!
Take ya mum here if she doesn't have diabetes .
4.02 potatos out of 5.
Delicious coffee and bronuts but the tables are awkwardly small and it's tricky with even two plates on the table. Some more variety in lunch options would be helpful - almost all items contain avo. which I cant eat :(. Still a fan. Best coffee in Eastland
Great place for a good coffee and some morning/afternoon tea nibbles. They use renowned Five Senses coffee roaster for coffee and Mörk for their chocolate drink. Great range of sweet/savoury pastries and artisan breads is also signature of Brioche by Philip.
A simple and and relaxing cafe with great food and coffee. My absolute favourite would be the chocolate donut, the almond coffee croissant is not bad too. They also offer almond milk and coffee is delicate. Service is nice as well.
Brioche is a nice little small cafe tucked at the corner. It sells fresh, nicely baked brioche bread, pastries and most famous for its bronut. Prices are around $3.80-4.50 for each in various flavors and toppings. The brioche blueberry danish pastry was too sweet for my liking but I like the coffee almond bronut. When it's too crowded, just buy take away the bronuts! Took 10 mins for my mocha to turn up though....

I was on my morning run when I thought “what’s a good reward for running this morning?”. Carbs. Carbs is always the right answer to this, and most other questions. So I took a detour and ran to Eastland instead. Brioche by Philip is located at the Town Square, near Cellar Door. I couldn’t walk passed the Nutella filled doughnuts that were lined up at the front window, just calling for me to enter. Who am I to say no to the Nutella doughnuts?
Always a great cappuccino and brioche, love the atmosphere and aromas, service with a smile, enjoy your day more by starting it at Brioche Ringwood.

Baguette with chicken and avocado - best I've ever tasted, really lovely flavour, great bread, a mix of chicken, herbs and some secret deliciousness, mesclun, avocado and cheese. You can have it toasted, I preferred it as is. Yum. My daughter chose the calzone with chickpeas (warmed) and she thoroughly enjoyed it too.
====================================================================================
Some of the seating inside is tiny, and not all that comfy, but the outside green chairs (sometimes you'll find a couple inside) are far more comfortable. A lovely variety of cakes, breads and bronuts (brioche doughnuts). Coffee is great quality and served at a perfect drinking temperature, (so says my fussy coffee loving partner) and the hot chocolates are lovely. There is coconut sugar on the tables, it works OK in hot drinks. Service is friendly, and pretty efficient. Help yourself to water and newspapers.
5/5 as they serve my fave almond milk from Inside Out!
What a gorgeous fitting inside - really luxe and wow all the treats! Pity I'm celiac now but there was 3 gluten free treats on the counter I snapped up. A brownie which tastes identical to one with gluten plus two toast slices with nuts and berries (took them home to toast)
Lovely staff and if you have a sweet tooth this is your place. Located outside at the top it's got loads of seating inside and outside too. Will be a hit in summer.
We had a Nutella cameralized glaze bro nuts, a potato roll . A latte & a chai latte. Love the donuts, looks expensive but not too expensive. My chai latte is not sweet at all so it goes well with the donuts . Latte was good , also the potato roll , looks plain but very good .
No better place to hang out on a cold wintery day than a warm cosy cafe like this! My only qualm is I which I could have hung out there longer. The few times I've been there the staff have always had a smile on their faces. Coffee was excellent. I order a latte which I've found to have the perfect balance between creaminess and a coffee hit to give you that morning wake up call.
Tip: Make sure you try the Bronut!
Pretty much my favourite coffee place East of Melbourne. Marvellous long black! I'm gluten intolerant but the gf chocolate brownie is spot on. My friend talks all week about the chocolate bronut until we go there again for our regular hang out! Staff are friendly, it's spotless, and has great natural lighting. I love to journal there, read or just have some good conversation. And I'm always looking forward to coming back!
Exploring the new Eastland today and I stumble across this lovely cafe patisserie with beautiful interiors. Staff are bubbly and helpful and the almond croissant, citrus brioche & frangipani (shared of course) I've just devoured really takes me back to my travels in France a few years back. Also, surprised how good my filter coffee is; my friend also comments on how well made her latte is.... yum!! Love this cute cafe and am sure they'll do very well. Will come back and try the bronut later.
These guys actually know coffee. Not like brands but beans. Nice to have a city coffee culture quality place out here in the sticks. Thanks for supporting DGI (www.dadsgroup.org) and new families Brioche. Looking forward to working together. @dadsgroupinc
A nice cosy cafe with friendly staff. great place for hot chocolates. strong, smoothe and not diluted at all like some other places. bronuts are soft, crispy and chewy; a cross between a brioche, croissant and doughnut. lighty dusted with cinnamon sugar, similar to a cronut but with a thicker pastry. a place worth visiting
This is a homerun guys. All bases covered. Collect your $200 and keep coming back. Im at @briochebyphilip_eastland (newly revamped eastland!) I ended up having two cups (second is awaiting my consumption right now!) first a magic on darkhorse - superb, light, body was exactly right to ratio to the crema. Second (just sipped) was a single origin, that the team says they are so proud of- no need for extra sweetness... Have it raw to pick up on ur fruity tones.
Service and knowledge is impeccable. Thanks for stepping out and away from behind the machine and having conversation. Im blown away by the generosity of your knowledge - learnt a few things as well.
Perfect spot to read, people watch or cackle with friends and family. Ample seating n dining room. Oh and yes amazing #bronuts! Get on it. Youll probs hear music in your head.
Also tried the 5 senses Kenyan single origin pour over. Very fruity with hints of plumb, overall extremely clean and well rounded, and dryer then a stirred Martini. Well worth a visit!
Our first 5/5 ☕☕☕☕☕
A cafe with very Friendly service and great coffee! Perfect afternoon pick me up with the bromington. Definitely my go to cafe when at eastland.
I've walked past Brioche by Philip many times, but finally with no kids in tow I was able to enjoy a relaxing coffee and maybe a treat. I popped in and checked out their bronuts but I chose to do my shopping first and head back there on my way out....BAD MOVE. I was eyeing off a yummy looking caramel bronut but they had sold out on my return. That'll teach me.
Great atmosphere, coffee, pastries and friendly staff. I have visited Brioche by Phillip at Eastland several times and haven't been disappointed.
Have been to Brioche a few times now. Their coffee is fantastic - great having high quality coffee out in the suburbs. Lots of choice in pastries with many funky types that I've never encountered before. The potato pastry is my husband's favourite. I recently tried the toasted brioche with mushroom and cheese and it was very flavoursome. The interior and decor is nice and fresh and the outdoor seating is a great place to chill out on a nice day.
Great place to sit and soak in the beautiful atmosphere at town square. My wife absolutely loves the pastries and always takes some home to enjoy the next day. The coffee is nice and most importantly consistent.
Love the pastries at Brioche and coffee is great too. Good place to catch up with friends and staff were friendly. Can't go wrong! Will definitely go back if im in eastland
Have been to Brioche a few times now. Their coffee is fantastic - great having high quality coffee out in the suburbs. Lots of choice in pastries, still have some to try. Personal favourite is the potato! Keeps me going all day :)
Popped in for a coffee before heading home. I had a skinny cap and it was perfect. A delicious blend by 5 senses coffee made by a barista who showed passion for his job (possibly the manager too). I was with friends and we all had different milk in our coffee so they were brought to the table as soon as they were made. Service was good too.
Big crowds at Brioche. The redevelopment of Eastland shopping centre has brought a slew of famous food brands to Ringwood, including bakery Brioche. Its arrival has been met with alacrity, with heaving masses at most times of the day.
An afternoon coffee catch up with a colleague brought me here around 3.30pm. There were plenty of staff and a reasonable number of patrons, seated both inside and out. So I expected there would be a bit of a wait. Whilst we were served quickly, it did take a while for our pastries to appear, and even longer for coffees. My little rye, walnut and raisin loaf was delightfully dark and dense, served warm but a little cold inside. The coffee scroll my colleague ordered, like many Brioche offerings, had a croissant base (Bronut anyone?) which he enjoyed.
By 4pm, the place was absolutely packed, with crowds milling around the dwindling number of pastries. Service took even longer for those guests but no-one seemed to care. I'm told that the morning crush for cakes can be quite a sight!
My wife and I have been regulars at Brioche in Eastland Town Square since they opened and we discovered they served Five Senses coffee in a quiet, friendly and modern cafe. Brioche are renowned for their savoury and sweet pastries and the coffee is by far the best at Eastland. If you love specialty coffee and you haven't visited Brioche, it's well worth it.
Excellent coffee and French style pastries. Real unrefined sugar on the tables. The combination tickles all the senses. Service was fast and friendly.
Great coffee and delicious baked goods. I'm so glad this place finally opened at Eastland. This is almost the only place at the whole centre that serves decent coffee. I had a chocolate croissant and it was just delicious. Can't wait to go back and try their bronuts!
Beautiful interior, ample choices of pastries, great service and awesome coffee! So grateful to have such a quality coffee and eatery joined into Ringwood.
Amazing array of breakfast goodies. An apricot danish that I could only wish for it to be never ending. Crisp, not overly sweet and tasty apricots. Coffee wasn't amazing, but then I'm getting fussier by the day about my coffee.
Very nice establishment guys. I love the atmosphere of the cafe, modern, simple and relaxed. We shared a few pastries between the four of us and had a coffee each. The winner for me was the Chocolate Croissant. The coffee was made to my request, extra hot strong flat white and delivered with a smile. The service here is attentive and friendly. If your checking out East Land and need a energy fix, I'd recommend Brioche as they are situated in the new hip outdoor section of the complex and they also have outdoor seating too!
Staff very friendly and nice. Bought a delicious sticky hazelnut pie, but not provided cutlery. Not sure if this was an oversight, or if they just don't provide cutlery for pastries? Coffee was pretty good - your standard 5 senses.
I love this place. It has beautiful coffee, smooth and delicious and the croissant was authentic, buttery and delicate. Lovely atmosphere and setting. I will be back with my friends!
UPDATE 25/10/2017
PREVIOUS
Okay, it was a mess when they started, service through a window, literally.
It looks much improved this afternoon.
Pastries and Coffee are fantastic, well made, just pricey.
Nice coffee! Had that subtle nutty flavour and very mild sweetness to it without sugar. Baked treats looked nice but I'm trying to cut back after Christmas....! Will definitely be back for coffee and to try a treat so rating may change in future.
The coffee here ( 5 Senses, I believe) is divine - so smooth and almost 'chocolatey'. A lovely range of pastries on offer. The place is still under construction, which detracts from the current atmosphere. However, there is definitely great potential here.
This morning I woke up on the wrong side of bed. I was still very tired and in need of a good coffee and something buttery and delicious. My I hate mornings mood took a quick turn as I remembered that Broche by Philip had opened at the new Eastland town square, so I hurriedly got ready and made my way down there..
