Review Oliver Brown - Ringwood

Not bad. I ordered the long black and my wife ordered the cappuccino. She said it was too milky for her liking.

Nice staff, coffee is quite decent. Probably the best place in eastland that I’m aware of. Pastries are delicious, but for a place called brioche by Phillip, they don’t actually sell any unless by special pre-order!??? Very disappointed by this.

Working across the road at the station, this is our go-to place on an almost daily basis. Best coffee in the area. The bronuts are to die for (especially the white choccy ones!) and the cheese toasties and croissants are delish. Staff are always super friendly. Would give more stars if I could.

Brioche is always a lovely spot to grab a coffee to go after a day at work. The roast is delicious every time, so good I don’t bother with sugar ❤️ The staff are also very friendly!

Great environment, good selection of pastries. The croissant and coffee were a bit of a disappointment. The Nutella bronut was good. Service was a bit slow for off peak hours.

i got my food ubered to me and it was in the nicest bag with the cutest note on it. i ordered an almond croissant but they didn't have any left so they wrote such a nice note and gave me a regular croissant AND a free donut! 100% will be ordering here again. great service and hospitality :)))

Very poor customer service and rude staff! The coffee is great but I got there at 7.15 and they open at 7.30. I was only after some beans. The staff would not even open the window to ask what I want. If not for the proximity I would not want to go back here.

The barista was a let down - not sure how he messed up my coffee so badly but 5 stars saved by the lovely girl with red in her hair. Really wonderful manner.

Went there using groupon voucher. The tables are quite close to each other, and it was busy during Saturday noon. I had their waffles with banana and strawberries. I have to say presentation was pretty good, they are generous with chocolate sauce they drew on the dish. They also give a big scoop of ice cream on the side of waffle, which is very generous. The waffle itself was ok. I don’t think it was warm when i got it. Their chocolate sauce was very rich and nice. Might be too sweet for dark chocolate lover but i dont mind it at all. Chai latte was ok. Overall okay experience.

Nice coffee place in the shopping centre. Good environment and not too crowded. Friendly staff.
Good coffee to recharge your day. Should go and try it 😉

one of my favourite little places within the shopping centre to take a coffee break, always a delicious soy dark chocolate mocha. the staff are attentive and very friendly, providing service with a smile and able to remember their regular customers which is a sweet touch.
proud to be a frequent visitor!!

Stop reading the previous reviews from Yonks ago... Time for me to tell you my recent experience!! The coffee was fantastic! Full of flavor! We also tried the Belgium waffles with chocolate sauce. Perfect waffles and yes you can taste the quality of the chocolate. It is quite rich and sweet and a perfect partner for my unsweetened Latte!! My search is done, I found my perfect cup of coffee! :P

The day that Oliver Brown came to Melbourne was (or should have been) a cause for celebration. But regardless of the fact that most Melbournians may not have even heard of it, they've also set up shop in an unassuming and, dare I say, poorly strategic position. They're located in Eastland's main shopping complex--which means opening hours are limited. Not only that, but they're situated away from any other food places or food courts, in the section with all the baby stores. Sadly, this means reduced publicity and that fewer people will be compelled to try it. Well, they're missing out because the waffles here are phenomenal. I first tried OB in Sydney over a year ago, and this Melbourne branch kept the same standard. The waffles have great texture, that appropriate level of resistance to the bite; the crispy, slightly caramelised outside; and the slightly fluffy interior. There's chocolate chips in the batter too. The generous Belgian chocolate draped over the portion is heavenly and rounds out the excellence. I had the grilled banana option, and it was fantastic adding nicely caramelised banana to the mix.
I was a little perplexed and peeved though, that, even though it was supposed to close at 5 the day we went, the interior seating was sealed off already at 3.20. We were allowed to sit outside in the shopping centre walkway (maybe half a dozen small tables), so that was fine. But then, I was told that our waffles would be served in takeaway boxes. This was actually a bit annoying, because it was tedious to cut the waffles with a knife and fork while it's inside a narrow, walled box. It also meant that my photos look pretty darn ordinary (my apologies). Before 4pm they were already stacking the tables and chairs of the interior section. I can understand if the staff don't get payed after 5 and they want to be out of there on time, but I think that using takeaway equipment at the expense of convenience for the customer, merely to avoid washing a few extra dishes that would take 5 minutes to clean (before official closing time no less), is quite over-the-top. The staff were still nice though and it's a small price to pay for awesome waffles.
Bottom line is, don't worry about the current average rating. Try the coffee and whatnot if you will, but don't judge until you've had the waffles.

We had a take away latte and soy chai latte. Absolutely delicious and both were the perfect temperature. They were quiet busy and we definitely know why!

I had flourless chocolate cake and lemon, lime and mint. While my friend had passionberry twist. Average tasting cake. Drink was overly sweet.

Yummy gf chocolate cake and great coffee. Nice cafe inside the shopping centre. I would come here again.

At first I was worried the cake wouldn't be nice, but they warmed it up and the chocolate toppings melted into the spongey chocolate cake, and it was marvellous! It's rare to have chocolate cake this good that is gluten free!

The coffee & hot chocolate I rate as close to the best in Melbourne. Service is quick and friendly. First experienced Oliver Brown in Sydney, great that they are now in my local area. Don't know how you always make your hot chocolates the best, keep it up, the chocolates on the side are a great addition. First rate.

After a wait, i proceeded to watch my coffee with no sugar have a tsp of sugar put in. When i addressed this situation they were sure they didn't, even though i clearly saw it. I accepted i may of been wrong, took it away to only have 2 sips then it landed in the bin along with the burnt milk.

Decided to try its Belgian chocolate and churros. However churros machine wasn't working so I opted for the waffles drizzled with chocolate. It was filling and chocolate was thick & smooth.
I ordered a green matcha latte to go with it.
It's at the new wing of Eastland S/C- near to the Toyland area (Ground floor)

Can't vouch for any of the other stuff but the mocha I ordered was superb!
The coffee my partner ordered was below par.
I would assume these guys know their chocolate (very well) but I have to agree with the other reviews for everything else.
Don't pass by without trying something chocolaty from this place if you ever come to Eastland!!

Latte was not hot....told that was because we're busy.......I would recommend a sign to clearly advise during busy periods only Luke warm latte's available..... That way I'd at least have choice. To be fair they offered to microwave it - then fortunately one staff offered to do a fresh one hot!

Looked all impressive but the coffee was terrible, very slow service, staff had no idea what they were doing, my cake was so dry couldn't eat it. Won't be back.

Positive experience, fresh drinks, good service, well priced and friendly staff. Oliver Brown's puts on a good performance on the chocolate stage.
