This is my regular fave....they can do all the usual classic Chinese dishes when we don’t feel like cooking. Best value - I will continue to support them for sure. My fave dishes are eggplant and mince, sweet n sour pork, they do a nice Claypots tofu with seafood too. Super yum! Highly recommended.
I used to get takeaway from Wongs all the time when i lived in Warranwood. Cheap, tasty take-away food. Never disappointed. My favourite was the beef rendang 👌
I have purchased take away food from this shop on many occasions, I normally order king prawns with vegetables in oyster sauce, it tastes wonderful, Im yet to have a bad meal from there
Wong's is quite the hidden gem.
My Chinese family and I had dinner at this unassuming suburbian restaurant, expecting average neighbourhood food. We were delighted to enjoy some of the best soy chicken we've ever had (and we've had it a lot in multiple countries). Succulent and fresh to a tee, flawlessly marinated and a generous portion.
Maybe we just picked dishes really well, but I'm in disbelief that every single dish we had was great. Even the fried ice cream was to to be savoured, and it's a dessert I've come to consistently expect mediocrity from. Every dish was balanced in flavour, not too salty or oily. Ingredients are of good quality prepared by a chef of obvious skill.
The owner and the service are courteous and gave us their full attention. You can tell they care.
Though the prices may mislead you, Wong's is not your typical mediocre Chinese restaurant.
This is a great Chinese takeaway. My friends and I (all Asians) basically tried all the dishes that Cantonese people like (including non-Chinese dishes like lemon chicken). All dishes were pretty good. The lemon chicken was also surprisingly good.
Great local chinese food☺nice quality and authentic taste☺would recommend the beef and black bean or mongolian beef☺szechuan beef is also yummy☺they also have a great lunch/dinner pack deal☺really yummy great value for price. .also the black pepper beef ...no tables☺..just nice take away😊
Absolutely terrific. My wife and I found ourselves lost in Ringwood over the weekend. aha! There stood the great Wong’s House in all its magnificent glory. Having tried the satay, curry and rainbow beef.. I can indeed confirm that this restaurant is indeed what it boasts: an authentic and powerful journey for the taste buds.
Bravo
I was a skeptic until I tried it out one evening.
The Chinese Cantonese food is legit (refer to the two photos below).
If it wasn’t the speed of service I’d give it a full 5 stars. It is very busy over the weekends - be prepared to wait if you’re taking away.
I guess it’s a sign of true testament of quality of food that people keep coming back.
In addition to the rating, I give Wongs House a 9/10 for authenticity.
Great tasting Chinese food. Polite and happy staff! Very clean. Standard decor for typical Chinese restaurant but very clean.
*Another great feature is the ability to add e tea ingredients! Eg with the fried rice you can add extra prawns or pork and 'You Decide' how much you want. For example, we get special fried rice with $2 of extra prawns-shrimp & $3 extra pork and it's a meal in itself! To go with that we ask for tubs of sauces in any flavor you like. We get Sweet & Sour & put some on the rice before we heat it up. Before microwaving rice, *akways run your hand under the tap, then flick the water onto the rice & repeat. This ensures that your rice doesn't dry out and makes it all fluffy again!
Just had an amazing dinner here with my daughter!! Great food and great service!! The dining area was lovely and clean too 👍👍
Found this treasure by chance after a google search whilst passing Ringwood. Authentic chinese food . Had the sweet and sour fish along with Beef rendang, it was yummy. The beef had been cooked to perfection. Will be visting again. Stephen and his crew were pleasent and courteous
