Review Nando's - Ringwood

I bought the $5 quarter chicken meal. It was a great disappointment! It is same recipe as those sold in Coles and Woolworths. The taste is not as good as Coles nor Woolworths. This is a total shocking and disappointment!

2nd time in a row I've got a hair in my food. I thought hair nets are meant to be worn in fast food places. It's disgusting and I won't be ordering from there again.

I really enjoyed my meal . The place was clean. The small cokes were the perfect size where if you had it you didn't feel like a you were sinning. The chips didn't even taste greasy. The flavour roll was phenomenal.

Went through the drive through and the lady who spoke to us on the speaker was so rude which we kind of brushed it off because she might of had a bad day but then we got to the window and there is just a bunch of young workers mucking around and swearing so loudly that our whole car could hear it. Makes us not want to eat our food that we got because it seems like they don’t care about it. They need some mature adults there with them.

Came here to try the 10 for $10 wings and the crunchy fried chicken. The wings tasted pretty good but not as large as the wicked wings from KFC. The crunchy fried chicken wings was not bad, not as crunchy as I expected it to be, and the breast pieces were pretty dry. The thigh however was super juicy and it sucked that we only got 1 of them put of the 6 pieces we ordered. Would go again but will try and get more thigh pieces.

Not a bad Red Rooster but still pretty average, the standards in general at Red Rooster need to improve, I feel like every time I get a Rooster Roll it's got less Chicken in it, hopefully things improve.

As a longtime Nandos customer including visiting this store 15 times in the past 4 months it's very poor form that this store is cutting corners and can't even provide iceberg lettuce on pitas and wraps anymore. Instead you get large chunks of cos lettuce stalk and all and last night was the final time I will be back having spent $570 based on peri perks in this period of time.

1/4 chicken ordered today. Took it back to work to eat it, and it was the size of a quail. Half the breast was missing and there was no skin. Very very disappointed Nando's and will not be a returning customer

Nando's as it should be, no problem here. The chicken is seasoned to perfection and the chips salted correctly. We git take away from here and it was great.

Nando's is Nando's

After all is a franchise, so we expect good enjoyable Nando's standard.

Nothing extraordinary about this place, apart from easy parking and the manager is pleasant to talk to.

Good food.
Ok parking.
Not a lot of seating.
Enough sauce.
Dirty cups for water.
Order was screwed up twice.
Not sure if I go again
--------

Poor Quality and service. Been many times over the last few months but have finally given up; Stale buns, ridiculously oversalted chips and staff that will ignore you while they chat to their friends.

Raw chicken. The owner is a pig and served raw chicken to me. I expect better in 2015, I know this place is a chain but the service is pitiful

Real Portuguese do it better. I had the pleasure of dining in a couple restaurants run by Portuguese people in Toronto and Vancouver during the final year I lived in Canada. Both of them specialised in grilled chicken with spicy sauce, so that’s what I ordered. Mates, was it ever good -- grill-charred skin, juicy meat, piquant sauce. Even though I had never been to a Nando’s in my life, I could see why a restaurant chain that served such food would be successful.

Fast-forward to now, when I was taking a Sunday bike ride through Melbourne’s eastern suburbs and needed to duck out of an oncoming storm. It was lunch time, this Nando’s was open, so I reckoned I’d give the chain a try. What a sad excuse for chicken it was, compared to real Portuguese (and probably South African) cooking. Flaccid meat from a small bird without much flavour and almost no grill taste to the skin. Nando’s makes a big deal of their sauces, which weren’t bad. I can see why they spruik the sauce, though, because that’s what’s necessary to make up for the weak taste of the chicken. Oh well, at least the chips were good. Next time I want Portuguese-style chicken, though, I’m finding a place where real Portuguese people are involved.
