Gradi is my favourite restaurant at Eastland’s outdoor eatery.
You can choose to sit inside or outdoors - either is a good option. The service is fast and the staff are always polite.
The food, from the pasta to the pizza to the desserts, is always sensational. My go-to meals are the rigatoni alla norma (pasta) and the romana pizza.
We had a bottomless pizza and drinks night with my friends and it was amazing. Pizza was so delicious and we also ordered dessert which was not part of the bottomless menu. Staff was very attentive and friendly.
Gradi is always good you never get disappointed.
I had the pizza and was amazing.
Tiramisù is my favourite always so fresh and tasty.
The stuff is super friendly
Also Paul the manager is lovely and super friendly with everyone.
Highly recommended
Had a party of 7, service was efficient and we had a waitress/waiter within earshot the entire evening, made it very simple and easy to order more food and drinks. Very accommodating, food was fantastic and the cocktails are perfect. Will definitely come again
The sizes of the dishes are very large and while it’s a bit pricey overall, the quality of staff and food warrants the price. Great interior and good atmosphere!
Been here for wife's birthday. Its a very cosy place. The hostess was very helpful in choosing our dishes. She went great lenghts to explain the detaila of the dish. Ordered pizzas, Margarita and Suprema. Both the pizzas were very well made and delicious.
Would definitely visit again.
Went there tonight with my family. We enjoyed the meal very much. Everything we ordered tasted good. Given that it's Friday night, the restaurant is very busy but the service was good. We had a lovely time and I will definitely return in the near future.
Okay GRADI. I see U doing ur thing. F*cking amazing pizza. Probably the best I have ever had. One star less because pizza was cold on delivery BUT I know it’s hard to keep pizza hot and probably delivery persons fault. Not going to lie though was a birthday treat because $$$ ($28 margarita) however 100% worth the price because you can tell it’s made from the best stuff, and a lot of love goes into the food ❤️

My partner and I have done the bottomless brunch twice now, the second time bringing some friends and it is honestly so much fun! We’ve had the same waitress both times and she was amazing. As soon as we finished our drinks AND pizzas we were offered our next rounds! Love it so much and can’t wait to go back again!
Went with my cousin's from overseas and they thoroughly enjoyed the pizzas and pasta we ordered. We had the arancini, seafood linguine, Margherita and Portofino. The pasta was really good and the pizza was superb.
The staff were attentive and the atmosphere was good, very busy for a Friday night, but still good service overall.
4.4/5☺️
I came in for dinner last night with a friend the waitress, Julie, was very nice and helpful when it came to choosing food and recommended the mushroom and truffle pappardelle which was a wonderful choice! I’ll definitely be back
Attended 400 Gradi for a Christmas function.
We had a mix of everything - from cheese platters, to salads, pastas, pizzas and mains.
Everything was faultless and flavorsome.
Delicious wine also!
We dined here for a birthday lunch with a group of 12 people and this review is based only on my personal experience.
I had booked lunch for 12 people since the beginning of June when the birthday special promotion was still on, allowing $50 off for the birthday person.
Even though the offer was no longer valid when we arrived, 400 Gradi still honoured it which was very lovely of them and the manager did his best to cater for all our requests.
Service was fantastic!
Akshay, our waiter did a wonderful job serving all 12 of us amongst the chattering and he was very patient.
For entree I had the poached veal and raw tuna vitello tonnato...it was ok at best; a bit pricy and small.
For main I had ordered the veal shank. It looked good and tasted delicious but with the price of $44 it was a small main.
Although 400 Gradi is a bit pricy, it is nice to have a quality restaurant locally without having to travel into the city.
Also beware of "open food charge" so any alterations to the menu by request will incur additional charges.
We had a dinner there the other day and everything was great. Not cheap but worth the money for an occasional evening out. Really nice pizza and the hazelnut mousse is amazing!
Service is really good! Each staff member greets you with a warm smile and welcome. Menus and orders given and taken in appropriate amount of time. Food is delicious and accurately described by staff. I had a glass of Moscato but I couldn't remember exactly what the bottle looked like but i want to buy a bottle from online. Would love to dine here again.

A restaurant to go for a true Italian dining experience! The pizza is super authentic. We tried their famous 502 type cheese pizza and it’s fair to say.. it was super duper cheesy!
Their pasta is always cooked to perfection. The croquettes are the best I’ve ever had. Super creamy, but super small.. could have had 10 more.
To end our meal we had their tiramisu, which is a must try. And it’s a definite share dessert. Try it!!
Great pizza and pasta restaurant right in the suburbs.
I love the wood fired pizzas (the only way pizzas should be made) and pasta is quite scrumptious.
So happy they are on UnerEats that I can enjoy it all from the comfort of home.

400 Gradi has come a long way since its sole, AVPN awarded pizzeria on Lygon Street. Just over ten years on, they can now be found across Melbourne, Adelaide and even on P&O’s Pacific Explorer cruise ship. The essence remains – traditionally made pizza, pastas and rich Italian desserts.
Loved this place! Went here on a sneaky little date with my partner and we were absolutely blown away by the pizza! It was so so good! However, the only downside was that the spaghetti was a little under cooked and salty. Despite that, I loved the whole vibe!
We’ve actually been here a few times already. It’s usually one of the first places mentioned amongst our friends when someone screams ‘PIZZA!’
What we liked and didn’t like so much.
👍👍👍
• The cured meat board. Mmmmmm 🤤, one of our favourite Melbourne salumi boards, they also come with this delicious serving of warm pizza dough covered in grated parmesan cheese.
• The Rustica and Carnivora pizzas are our favourites. Seriously good pizzas here that should be eaten straight out of the oven without a moments delay!
• The squid ink pasta is flavourful with it’s spanner crab, asparagus, garlic and chilli.
👎👎👎
• We don’t like the other main secondi options. The most disappointing dish was the barramundi, it had a very fishy taste and smell.
Would we come again?
Time and time again! A great local pizza and pasta place, especially with their generous birthday promotion.
I love this place. This time I ordered the Arancini, Pasta special and finished with the Chocolate Pudding. Everything was delicious. The service at Gradi is always impeccable. I only wish the sun didn’t drench this venue in the afternoon. However, I suppose some people would love that!
Good service and food, looked after my 3 year old son with his picky behaviour. Nice place for an Italian experience in the eastern suburbs. Great pizza
The Margarita was recommend to me and I found it to be really good. The crew working here are very friendly and very respectful. I would highly recommend it to anyone who likes Italian style cuisine.
Delicious authentic Italian pizza and pasta! Good portions and prices, all in the heart of Ringwood so it's very easy to get to! Staff are very attentive and friendly.
If you find yourself in the outer east craving wood-fired pizza, perhaps your legs are weary from a day’s shopping at Eastland, you deserve to try 400 Gradi East. Don’t be discouraged if
Attentive service and a generous amount of seating.
Arancini is crispy and soft inside.
The carobonara is well made and the guanciale and parmesen add flavour to the dish.
The margherita is great. Soggy but aromatic and a soft crispy crust.
Absolutely amazing pizza, my partner and I ended up eating 3! We just could not stop! And the staff were so helpful and made amazing recommendations!
Amazing food, super delicious. Although a bit pricey, extremely tasty with reasonable serving sizes. Super friendly staff. Great, gourmet eat out❤️
A friend of mine swear by this place, he thinks it's one of the best Italian restaurant in Melbourne. But I just don't get it. I have been here 3 or 4 times only because its ambience. It's a nicer place comparing to other ones at Eastland. Other than that, nothing very special. the food is not bad, but nothing extraordinary.
very nice midweek evening out at this Italian establishment, offering a busy buzzing atmosphere without feeling rushed or pressured. the staff were charming and attentive with a warm welcoming vibe alongside attention to detail. beautiful food!! all seven main meals were well portioned but not overwhelming and four desserts were stunning with their presentation and flavour.
slightly slow bar service due to being busy but otherwise, great experience.
400 Gradi East is our go-to for a fancy night out either to celebrate a birthday or a promotion at work. This restaurant is admittedly a rather expensive venture, however, the food and the service reflects this.
I have dined here several times and each time has been an absolute pleasure. The waiters are attentive and chatty and the food arrives within a timely manner. Portions are quite filling and their pizzas are authentic and generous with the toppings. My favourite pizza from their menu is the Caserta with San Marzano Tomato as a base and Fior di Latte, 20-month aged Prosciutto and tangy Rocket Leaves as the generous toppings. I have also enjoyed their Fish of The Day dish, which was a delicious Barramundi on both occasions that I visited.
400 Gradi East would be perfect for a date when you'd like to impress, or for a large family or friend outing to celebrate a milestone. As this is quite a busy restaurant on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights, I would recommend booking first.
Just had the most amazing lunch at 400 Gradi its a must when heading up to @eastland! My son recommends the Guazzetto Di cozze Australia mussels 👌and we all loved the wood fired pizza is world class. Great atmosphere friendly staff high end restaurant with a touch of Italy #400gradi #eastlandringwood #eastlandpartner #eastland #ringwood
Came to gradi for lunch, tried the margarita pizza and carbonara gnocchi , both dishes did not disappoint , flavourful and authentic tasting
Not to mention the friendly service , would come back again !
Pleasantly surprised by our visit to 400 Gradi last week. My partner had been once before just after they opened and vowed to never go back due to small portions however it was a birthday celebration so he was somewhat forced to. This time, we experienced nothing but generous portions and delicious food. I opted for the magharita pizza upon waiters recommendation and it was lovely, thin base with delicious charred edges and just enough cheese. My partner got the pizza special, another couple got the parmigiana pizza (which was divine!) and a pasta. Everyone was incredibly happy with their meals and we were all too full to even contemplate dessert, though they sounded delicious too.
The waiter (Max, I believe) was also incredibly professional, attentive and helpful throughout our visit.
We will definitely be back!
Such a pleasant surprise! The location in the exterior dining area of the new Eastland is a pleasant setting. I've eaten indoors before, but yeterday it was outdoors in the autumn sunshine. Nice surrounding garden beds soften the area. Cant fault the Italian food. Absolutely delicious eggplant layered with tomato parmigiana style in a little claypot. Prawns in batter on a deliciuos puree - yum! Pizzas perfectly cooked and light - and a good list of choices. Olives stuffed with veal and then crumbed were addictive. Finish with best ever choc molten pudding. Lots of wines by glass. Friendly staff. Indoors is spacious, two storey space with open kitchen.
I chose the ‘Strawberry, Basil and Ginger Mojito ($12.00)’. My dining companion went with the ‘Passionate Business – tropical flavour with passionfruit and orange ($12.00)’. Our favourite out of the two was the Strawberry Mojito, which was very refreshing...
Came here for coffees and something to eat after shopping late at Eastland. We ordered the special sweet option which was like a biscuity base with cream and berries, a nutella calzone (but received a nutella pizza - oops! It was just as yum though) and a tiramisu. Food was good. Coffee was ok but not amazing. Service was unfortunately slow which is why I'm giving a 4 instead of a 5. We had to call our waiter over several times as it seemed like he forgot to come back to take our orders etc!
All in all though, it's a good place with plenty of seating...especially good if you haven't thought and planned ahead to book a table! They nearly always have spare tables.

After having been to all the other Gradi I can safely say that this one doesn't lag behind one bit. The eggplant parmigiana is simply divine, layers of eggplant with cheese and napoli sauce baked in a little bowl, you could simply eat that alone with some bread for dipping and wine and be happy!
Having been here and tried their delicious pizza some time ago, a friend and I thought we would try dinner. I wanted the gnocchi, but with truffle cream sauce from another pasta dish, No problem and although a little pricey OMG. You know when you have one of those moments when you are transported to foody heaven? Better than......Did not need anything else except perhaps a quiet moment to myself. And the service is always relaxed and unassuming. Simple food done really well.
We came here for lunch after first seeing it at the Australian Open.
There is a good range of good quality wood fired pizzas. Toppings aside, the actual dough is absolutely beautiful. Nice crunchy bottom with a fluffy crust and mandatory leopard spots.
The service was friendly and prompt.
Great destination to chill out with friends after a working week. Open til late so plenty of time to enjoy a great feed and a good drink. Just don't do hot chocolate, they are powdered and not great. Everything else is bang on 👌
This restaurant should be rated way higher in my opinion!! Every time I come here I ALWAYS get the mushroom pappadelle because it is flawlessly incredible and last night was no exception. My boyfriend enjoyed his Margherita pizza too, only wished there was a little more cheese. We were served by a lovely waitress with brown hair who was very personable and accommodating. The pannacotta for dessert was soft, creamy and complimented well by the wine sauce.
The Eastland renovation seemed to have happened a lifetime ago, but really, it’s only been a couple of years. One of the welcome edition to the Town Square was 400 Gradi East, known for having the best margherita pizza in town. This is an extremely backlogged post, in fact, I visited 400 Gradi East during a special event over a year ago, on National Cheese Pizza Day.
Pizza bases too soggy and tough to cut into, but ingredients were delicious. The crab meat pasta was really yummy. I would only go back for the pastas.
It's a lovely place in a lovely town square location. It seems a little pricey, but then again, cadaan food tend to get away with this kind of price point. I've had the margherita and seafood pizzas, which were both pretty nice. Our waiter Andres was super friendly and since my family and I could banter with him in Spanish, it was especially fun in an otherwise rigid place. Service riddled with unreserved joy, thanks to our waiter. I think it kind of helped the way we tasted the pizzas.
Love the Magherita verace pizza here, which is something that 400 Gradi is famous for. Thin and crispy crust, and the right balance of ingredients and tomato base. If the wagyu and truffle pizza is offered as a special item, do order it - it's divine! Restaurant has ample seating but do call to book as it can get very busy on Friday nights and of course the weekends.
Pizzas were nice and pasta was tasty but I preferred the pasta over the pizza. Fresh and home cooked feels. Service is exceptionally warm and attentive. Nice space that's good for groups. Popular and always crowded, so booking is essential.
Really reliable pizza and pasta if you're feeling like Italian. This particular night we were in a rush to go to the ballet after nearby so did not take any food photos. My friend and I also shared a wine after which unfortunately we were charged twice for. However upon realising the blunder the next night we called back and a lovely female manager made sure they refunded our friend who paid the extra glass of wine. Really commended to the manager for going the extra mile and delivering exceptional customer service!
Went here for lunch and overall loved it. The staff were very authentic and made me feel like I was actually in Italy. They were nice and if we ever neede anything they were happy to help. I had the pizza sebastian which was amazing! The dough was delicious and the cheese was I think the best cheese I have ever had on a pizza. All the ingredients were fresh and tasted fantastic.
Although it is a bit pricey I would recommend the pizzas here as I can say I have never had a better pizza.
After another restaurant was at capacity we walked over to here and were seated immediately. The staff were absolutely lovely and attentive. We started with half a dozen oyster kilpatrick, and had pasta for mains. Gnocchi and the seafood spaghetti, both were fantastic but certainly would recommend the spaghetti. With 2 cocktails and a glass of white win, it came to $140. Possibly the only downfall however, it was a treat!
A friend sent us to dinner here in lieu of an engagement gift. We actually have dropped right off the Gradi train since we discovered Zero 95 so wouldn't have visited here were it not for the present but I was interested to see how it compared to the glory days where we used to frequent the Brunswick and Southbank sister restaurants.
We started with the Aranacini which has always been my partners favourite thing they do, I am not that passionate about balls of rice and can take them or leave them but he definitely enjoyed the entree.
I had the gnocchi pomodoro which is obviously classic and simple but was also actually really the only pasta dish that appealed to me. My partner had the Margherita pizza so it was a very plain jane meal for us but traditional flavours which are definitely still delicious. With drinks it managed to hit exactly $75 which equated to our gift value so we hilariously weren't even one dollar out of pocket. I'll be sticking to Zero 95 for better value and less pretentiousness
Love this place on a Friday night after work. Jump off the train at Ringwood station, walk over and get a table at Gradi to meet the Misso and the kids. Lovely staff and great food (pizzas are where it's at), we always leave happy and full. Definitely give this one a try.

Best pizza dough ever! Highly recommend the pizzas - especially the simple Margherita. Nothing else compares (tried many award winning pizzas in Melbourne and this is the closest in authenticity to Italian made pizzas). Gets busy Fri nights and weekends so best to book!
I had the seafood woodfired pizza and it was quite good. There was a sufficient amount of seafood- not too much that is overpowering and not too little for it so be scarce. I personally enjoyed all the flavours of it! I would recommend coming with a close friend or someone you can chat a lot to as the wait can be quite long :)) but its worth it
DO: The pizzas of course. My favourite was the Italian sausage, but you really can't lose can you?
DON'T: Forget the pastas as well. Had a really nice one with mushrooms and a creamy sauce ... sorry forgot the name.
TIP: Go at lunch on a weekday and beat all the crowds as it gets incredibly busy at night and weekends.
I have visited twice now & on both occasions, the food has been delicious. I loved the pizzas & the tiramisu was quite good. Will definitely be back soon
I'm a little bored of the negative posts about gradi east
I decided to book here for my 30th with my parents in law regardless of the reviews
Gradi lives up to expectations as usual. Yummy pizza and pasta, fresh, without the fuss.
Perhaps the customers have an issue around here because they can get a boggy American style manky
Pizza for a 3rd of the cost.
Stop it! Classy proper pizza isn't for you. If u don't wanna spend the money go back to your local joints and stop complaining.
For those who like a good pizza and a decent pasta this is the place to be... there's nowhere better in the burbs.
Had a girls' night out at Gradi and everything was yummy. We ordered 4 mains (individual) and 2 desserts (to shared). My spaghetti dish was amazing, simple yet delicious. The dessert though, that nutella pizza is a must, it is so good that I wanted it all for myself (unfortunately I have to share..damn hahah). We got sat in the booth towards a corner to the back of the restaurant so the noise wasn't too overwhelming. Lovely ambience, will come back, for sure!
Great ambiance. Great food, love the wine selection. I have visited the main restaurant in Carlton before this company branched to another two sites. I always like the experience at the Carlton restaurant and it's not fair to compare but can't help it. I love the authenticity at Carlton which brought back memories of my trip to Italia. But 400 Gradi east will get there I hope. It's new and still finding it's feet. Kodie guys. Keep up the good works.
Got dinner here tonight with a group of gal pals. As a vegan, the staff were very accomodating to mine and my friends needs. I ordered the supreme with no cheese, and I got tomato paste added with no problem. It was absolutely delicious and the wait staff was lovely! Very pricey I'll admit, some menu items were ridiculous (35$ was the cheapest gluten free option for my friend) but my experience was good, a $25 vegan pizza at the quality and size was pretty satisfying!!! Will be returning :)
The best Pizza I've had in a very long time. Salad was gorgeous and fresh. Service impeccable. Yes it is expensive, but I knew that going in.
