Review D'elephant Thai Cuisine Eastland - Ringwood

I usually get Thai fried rice when I eat at the Eastland D’elephant outlet. I haven’t eaten here for a while but I think the owners must have changed as it’s not that great now. Also I usually get a satay skewer which is usually very moist and comes with the peanut sauce. But now it’s very dry and no sauce. Might not be eating here again.

Thai fried rice is very small portion, with couple of veg couple of chi ken and a prawn, no spice, no egg not even like traditional Thai rice. not worth for the price

Tried the Pad See Ew. It actually tasted good but it was too strong, very thirsty afterwards. Tiny portion, not enough for one person. You usually get at least double the size for the price.

Liked the look of the Papaya salad, ordered 13/1/21 and was asked "take away or eat in". I replied "eat in". What was served up was a plastic box filled with shredded papaya, carrot 2 cherry tomatoes cut in half and a few green bean pieces. Seperate condiments were in extra plastic containers and 4 pieces of pork belly were served in a paper bag. Nothing like posted picture, shocking, I should have returned this and got my money back. See the advertised image and what I got .......

Thank you for a delicious dinner! The massaman curry had the most tender beef with a rich sauce and the Thai fried rice was also great! We also enjoyed the Thai milk tea drink with extra pearls and the sticky rice with coconut milk for dessert came with such a generous amount of mango. Would definitely order again.

Worst meal and we paid $32 for the privilege. Roti bread tough and cold. Curry puff & spring roll old and cold. Beef and chicken skewers tough and tasteless and yes, cold. Mains mainly consisted of rice with a tub of sauce and a smattering of vegetables. I had 4 chunks of meat in my dish. The green curry chicken had a bit more meat. The sauce in mine was palatable but the green curry was atrocious, actually inedible. Will we eat there again! Not if my life depended on it. By the way, it wasn’t busy at the time, we were there at 12.05 today Friday.
