Review Pizzeria Express - Ringwood

The pizzas are great, however when you arrive to collect at your order at the specified collection time, I have found that I have to wait for a further 20mins for the order to be ready only to see that the order is waiting on top of the pizza oven, this has happened for the last 2 orders and also being asked to pay twice. Customer service needs to be greatly improved😡

Made an UberEats order over the weekend. We ordered a small supreme pizza, medium peri peri chicken pizza and a medium DSP (half kinder and half Ferrero Rocher) for dessert. It took about 40 minutes for the delivery to arrive. The pizzas were still warm upon delivery. I quite like the supreme but wouldn’t say it’s the best supreme I’ve had. The base is a little dry and would prefer a bit more tomato base. The peri peri chicken had good flavour. I requested for chilli flakes/oil on the side, however did not receive any. For someone who loves a bit of greens, I do like the fact that they give you a some veggies (rocket) on the side to go with the pizza. Lastly, the DSP wasn’t as expected. I find the dough chewy, though my housemate really enjoyed the donuts. There was definitely enough toppings. I had the injected donuts the last time I had a takeaway from here and much prefer them. Overall, it was an alright pizza dinner. Thank you Pizzeria Express for making our dinner. @walksofliv

Best Pizzas in Melbourne. Beautiful flavours and quality ingredients. The lamb pizza is perfecto and pastas tasty as well. My goto pizza place worth the extra drive! Keep up the good work.

Our favourite pizza place in Ringwood. Their online ordering and pickup system is so easy and the food is always ready on time. We have tried various pizzas, salads, pastas and donut snack packs and have enjoyed them all.

Amazing service with brilliant tasting food. The base is unique with fresh ingredients all whilst they were about to close. Requested rocket on the side and received with out issue. Thanks to the team keep up the 5 star’s.

Really dissapointed with the service here. If a business chooses to use delivery partners like Ubereats then they should take full responsibility when food is delivered inedible as shown in the photos. I ordered this as a treat for my birthday as the pizzas are incredibly expensive in comparison to the other pizza shops around ringwood and I received a destroyed pizza and a cold garlic bread. I then had to drive to the business as there phone has no call waiting and I couldn't get through (rings once and hangs up). When I explained to the girl at the counter what was wrong I received no apology at all and when the chef came out he said they will make me another pizza and asked if I wanted to keep the cold garlic bread..... After waiting for another pizza to be made the chef bought me out the pizza, offered no apology whatsoever and told me to order through them instead next time... There will not be a next time and I'll be sure to tell anyone who will listen never to order here.

On the expensive side but worth it! Went down the other day to see what all the fuss was about and my god it was delicious. I ordered the regular HSP pizza and Oreo DSP. These had big portions and lots and lots of calories but are the perfect treat! The store is also located in a nice little area with easy parking. Certainly give this place a try even for a basic pizza.

We ordered pizza from here a couple of months ago and I went in to pick it up, my husband hated his pizza, I didn’t mind mine. We then popped in for the donuts a month later which I had noticed on the menu when I was in the first time and they were great. A couple of nights ago my husband suggested we try the pizza again, I reminded him that he didn’t like the pizza the first time around, however secretly I think he was after the donuts more than the pizza so we opted to have dinner and dessert delivered from here. It cost $67 for 2 large pizzas and 5 donuts, the pizza was the worst I have ever had in my life. To begin with the “45 minute” delivery time turned into an hour and a half, 30% of the pizza was crust and the remainder was cold, dry and hard to eat. Worth popping in if you like donuts, but the pizza is really not worth anyone’s time.

This was worth the drive from Geelong, not only where the DSP absolutely amazing and delicious but my hubby reckons the ribs where to die for and your pizza was just as good!!! Thanks for being ever so friendly and even staying open that little bit longer so we could sit and enjoy! We recommend this to everyone!!!

We just had mushroom pizza and lamb pizza. WOW the best pizza in town. I can’t recommend it enough. This is my new pizza place. I can’t wait to try the chocolate donuts

We tried Pizzeria Express for the first time tonight after needing to shop around for a new local pizza place. Great looking menu, nice balance of toppings, and a lovely not-too-thick-not-too-thin crust. My half-Italian fiancée sighed in relief that there's a local place for us that does pizza right! Excited to try more of their menu :)

This place is amazing! We’ve been a number of times now (as we have to take all of our family and friends) to experience the DSP in person! Every single time we’ve been - the staff have been super friendly. Everyone’s fav is the Kinda DSP! It’s not even our ‘local’ but are happy to drive on purpose. Another fav is the BBQ pork pizza! Thanks guys for your wonderful service, to our sometimes, loud groups outside.

Sitting at home and thought that I would decide to order from the restaurant in my area with the highest rating. It happened to be a pizza place and I was all for that! I look at the prices and thought that it sounded a little expensive for pizza, but YOLO! I ordered a medium Aussie and a medium cheese pizza. 2 basics that really hold their own. The pizza was delivered by a friendly driver and the 2 boxes placed on the table. Plain looking boxes I thought.. Well have you ever heard of the phrase "Never judge a book by it's cover?" Well, never judge a pizza by its box! I opened the boxes and there in front of me was a little piece of Italy. 2 perfectly wood oven cooked pizzas, all puffy and crispy and cheesey. OMG the cheese!! How do I even begin! It was like the heavens grated some cheese just for me tonight as it was perfect. Oh and the ham.. I tell you, that you have never had a delivered pizza with ham like this before! This wasn't just shredded ham, or cheap ham, but ham ham!! Beautiful big bits of ham, gourmet bacon and fluffy egg. The price faded away into oblivion as I ate my restaurant quality, authentic Italian pizza in the comfort of my home. Thanks for the magic xx

The pizza and doughnuts is the best I’ve had in the local area very friendly staff easy to deal with I recommend this store to everyone and anyone

Went there on a chilly Wednesday night with a few friends and had a fantastic time, well worth the 30 minute drive. The staff were lovely and the dsp's were INCREDIBLE. Couldn't recommend this place highly enough!

Loved the DSP! I tried the snickers dsp and the jam filled donut and was so impressed. The donuts in the dsp are bite sized pieces which were chewy/crunchy on the outside but soft on the inside and topped which generous amounts of topping. Arguably one of the best donuts I've tried. The jam filled donut had a bit too much filling ratio to donut so ended up slightly too sweet but that's personal preference. Overall wow!

Brilliant pizza, fresh ingredients and incredibly tasty Easy best pizza in the area and possibly Melbourne Staff are young, enthusiastic and incredibly friendly BBQ chicken, peri chicken are my favourites New menu has gnocchi and pasta , so looking forward to trying this weekend Thank you gain and the best part is that you are just down the road

The souvo pizza is one of our favourites and their chips are surprisingly amazing. Its hard to fault anything on their menu. Highly recommend

Absolutely delicious pizza! The staff are friendly and inviting. I tried the Mars doughnuts and I almost fell over it was so good, these doughnuts are to die for <3 will come back again and again. :)

Wow! That was amazing! Hands down the best pizza I’ve ever had! My wife and I had a small pizza each and they were still very generous sizes. We also had a mini DSP each and they were so good!!! We’ll definitely be back �

Oh man just ordered from here tonight. I have been waiting for my brother to come down from NSW to go try this place out. Did not at all disappoint! Obviously coming for the dsp’s which were everything and more (we got the mars bar one with nutella and caramel sauce and mars bar pieces🤤). We ordered a margarita, meat, and souv pizzas. They were just as good. Everything was fantastic. Keep up the great work guys👍

Use to love the carbonara there it was my go too but suddenly they obviously changed their recipe and it just isn’t very good. Gave a few goes but I won’t be ordering from there anymore :(

Tried it for the first time reading all the great reviews and I was not disappointed. I ordered a Pesto Pizza and was delighted to see the pizza was made and presented so nicely even for take away. It had generous toppings and tasted really good. I would definitley be back.

Pizzas get 2 out of 5, DSP's get 5 out of 5. We've given their pizzas a few goes now and they are pretty average and expensive. They often tend to underestimate just how long you have to wait for a takeaway order. Was told 35mins and ended up being an hour. Probably had my least favourite margherita ever tonight, so much cheese (and I love a lot of cheese), super oily, and no sauce at all. It looked like a garlic and cheese pizza. It's also pretty expensive and they have a $20 minimum eftpos for some strange reason. Their DSP's on the other hand are amazing. It's a shame their pizzas aren't quite on the same level.

We came here for DSP (donut snack packs) and pizza ! The pizza here are really fresh and they are quite generous with the toppings . The donut snack packs are also fantastic , I did find the donuts a bit doughy but the toppings were so good!

Got the hsp pizza and the picnic snack pack! <br/><br/>The pizza had the perfect crust and the amount of tender meat and sauce on there was amazing!!!!! <br/>The medium pizza is more than enough for 3 people and we thought it might not be enough haha <br/><br/>The dsp was also amazing. Super soft and sugary donuts with a whole cheap of caramel, syrup, nuts, chocolate bars and chocolate sauce. I was expecting the donuts to have Nutella in them but it may of been sweetness overload. <br/><br/>The prices here are amazing, the servings are huge and the food is incredible. Would definitely recommend <br/><br/>

I got the mushroom pizza made vegan & olive oil instead of truffle oil, it was DELICIOUS I LOVED it.<br/>Service was great, I think the girl who served us may be new but she handled it very well, helped us order because of allergies/veganism. They need to have set vegan options on the menu to make it easier for both the customers and staff. I had to ask what the mushrooms were marinated in and what the caramelised onions were cooked in etc. Also please make some vegan donuts 😍

<br/>went here a few nights ago for my birthday. When we got there it was quite busy so obviously that’s a good sign. I shared a lamb pizza with my friend & got a DSP as well, that’s why we went there to try there famous DSP. I got the kinder surprise one. It did take a while for the pizza & DSP to come out but once they did they were amazing. The pizza wasn’t as greasy as some pizzas & had a lot of toppings, it was like a gourmet pizza kind of. The DSP was crazy! I got a small and couldn’t finish it. They had a lot of toppings & the donuts were quite big! Definitely would go back to try some more pizzas and DSPs. Just be ready to spend around $15-$20 on a pizza but it is worth it!

Most delicious pizza I've ever eaten, my partner agrees. The DSPs are also fantastic, I would give a perfect score if it was easier on the wallet...unfortunately nearly $60 for two pizzas and a desert is always a little too pricey regardless of how good it is, especially considering it's take away. A shame because we'd eat here far more often if it was just a tad cheaper, or if we could sit somewhere nice and enjoy it!

Been wanting to try this place since I read about it in our local paper. Got take-away from here on Friday night. Many flavours we want to try on their menu but this time we opted for a medium peri chicken and medium prawn pizza – both were delicious, very filling and ready to pick up in 20 minutes. Will definitely return to try other pizza flavours and still hanging out to try their nutella donuts and their DSP’s (donut snack packs).

can't seem to get the order right  make a specific request and they don't bother to do it. very disappointing won't be going back.Time to find another pizza restaurant

This isn't just good pizza for the area, this is good pizza for any location.<br/>We just tried a half/half each so that we could try as many of their pizzas as humanly possible.<br/><br/>Mine was half pumpkin, half margherita. <br/>The pumpkin was great. <br/>The margherita was OUTSTANDINGLY good. Perfect sauce, perfect amount of (good quality) cheese, and the fresh basil was a tasty topper. <br/><br/>My partner got half romano, half sausage.<br/>He said that the romano was good. (the fresh fior di latte was an excellent touch).<br/>The sausage was fantastic.<br/><br/>I let him have a very small bite of my margherita (it was way too good to share) and the look on his face said it all. He seriously wished that he'd gotten a margherita. <br/><br/>The dough is the perfect thickness. Not too thick, not too thin.<br/>I'm normally not a crust person, but these were the type of crusts that even I enjoyed. <br/><br/>Being only a 5 minute drive from my work is going to be deadly in summer when I can head down and eat at the outdoor tables after Friday knockoff.

Pizza's were ok but nothing special, found the salami to be mega salty. If you order one with salami definitely keep a 2ltr bottle of water with you for the rest of the night.

We have been on a constant search to find a great pizza on this side of the city and we've finally found it!! BEST PIZZAS - VERY generous with their toppings and the crust is perfect!! The staff are super friendly and I highly recommend this for your pizza destination!

Friendly staff, nice trendy shop front and amazing pizza's. They are a special treat for takeaway as they're on the pricier side but well worth it! We've ordered from here about 5 times since they've opened. Also, for the gluten free people out there, the pizza is great and the same price as a normal pizza. Highly recommend the Roma !

We ordered from Pizzeria Express Ringwood for the second time tonight. The first time we found the food to be okay. Tonight however our experience was not good. We ordered 3 pizzas, the chicken avocado pizza was very dry and clearly over cooked, the prosciutto pizza was barely warm and under cooked and instead of the garlic pizza we ordered we were given what looked to be a bruschetta pizza. Three fails from three pizzas. This also cost $54 for pickup as they do not deliver. I almost had a heart attack when I picked them up. We won't be returning for a third visit.

WOW am I lucky to have such traditional gourmet pizza around the corner!! <br/><br/>The staff is super friendly and well organised. The wait for pizza is reasonable considering the busyness and standard they produce! <br/><br/>Great range of pizzas to chose from, bruschetta pizza is a winner along with the pumpkin, lamb and classic margarita. <br/><br/>You must must MUST try their desserts too.

I don't get why the ratings are so low? The pizza was delivered hot, all ingredients were fresh, the salad (calabrese) was HUGE and so tasty. The pizza we're really yummy, I like my crust to be a little bit more doughy/less crunch but they were still really yummy pizzas.

This pizza was amazing!! Definitely going back here if you want Italian pizza this is the place to go. I promise you will not be disappointed

Was some of the best pizza I've had in a long time. The lamb pizza was especially very good and I don't think I can remember having a better pizza.

I'm writing this review as I just tried this new pizza place to the area and the reviews here are rubbish. This is Great Pizza! Simplistic and very tasty, the way a pizza should be, with a great base too. If you want a $5 dominos or pizza hut pizza don't come here, but if you want a great tasting classic Italian pizza give it a try.

BEST pizza we have ever had! Always cooked perfectly and not over priced! You will never want to go to any other pizza place... you can tell they use fresh ingredients which makes a huge difference! Definitely our go to, my sister lives in Malvern and comes to us so she can especially have their pizza.

Take no notice of negative reviews here - lived I RINGWOOD 20 years and finally have an amazing pizza option which offers me gluten free bases that even hubby doesn't complain about and vegetarian toppings that are so fresh and not over cooked with that "take away pizza smell and taste" - you know the one that is still in the car the next day - I will no longer be bother with home made now we have this around the corner - well done guys - AMAZING healthy take away choice - thanks
