Review Paradise Fish & Chip Shop - Ringwood

Way over priced and no flavour was sooooooo disappointed how do you stuff fish and chips if your gonna charge premium prices it's gotta be premium quality and to be honest your food isn't even worth normal fish and chip shop prices. Your shop is the first I have been to that over charges by that much and you don't even have value packs. From the lack of flavour it's obvious you have lost your passion and it's time to sell guys. Sorry for being so blunt but I don't want others to waste their money.

My 14-year-old son recommended paradise fish and chips because he said he had “the best burger of his life” from there. We ordered burgers for the family plus a chicken souvlaki, and chips. Because of Covid we got them delivered through menu log. They arrived still quite hot, and super tasty. The burgers were excellent, and the chips were chunky, beautifully cooked, and very tasty.

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. My partner placed an order earlier this evening on UberEats for 2 potato cakes, 2 dim sims (with soy sauce) and a minimum chips. When her order arrived, we opened it up to realise that the order we received was entirely incorrect. My partner and I then called the business to tell them that the order that we received was wrong, and instead of being met with a quick apology and an offer to remake the order, my partner and I were met by endless excuses, blame shifting to the Uber driver and a blatant lack of apology. The woman on the phone told us that she couldn't help us as she claims that she received two UberEats orders with the same name as my partner through UberEats and that the Uber driver must have grabbed the wrong one. The woman on the phone even had the gall to tell us that we got the "more expensive" meal and implied that we shouldn't complain because of this fact (regardless of the fact that our order was FAR from correct). My partner and I had to drive down to the store (whilst my food was getting cold at home) to demand that the order be made again. The woman reluctantly made the order again. However, upon completing the order, the woman told us that they put soy sauce on the dim sims after cooking them. We told them that we have received dim sims from them in the past with soy sauce packed separately from the dim sims. Instead of just giving my partner what was asked (which would of been too simple, of course) the same woman decided to argue the point that they have never given customers soy sauce separately to the dim sims (despite, the fact that we have been repeat customers in the past). Absolutely, without a doubt, one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had with ANY takeaway shop. My partner and I will be steering well clear from this place from now on, and we suggest other customers do the same.

Best fish and chips in Ringwood no doubt! Fish is always fresh, chips cooked perfectly, potato cakes always tasty. Service was great aswell so would have to disagree with the people at the bottom reviews speaking about the girl with the dark hair as she served me and was so lovely. I came in with my husband and two kids a week ago and will definitely be back for more fish and chips

Tasted delicious as usual, but amount of chips you get is stingy. Bought $6 worth of chips and would have been lucky to be able to share them between 3 people, they were ordered on top of the pieces fish, potato cakes and dim sims, so we spent our fair share on our order - very very disappointed.

This is our go to fish and chip shop as it is conveniently located and reasonable priced. The chips are nothing special, sometimes a little squishy but totally acceptable. The potato cakes and dim Sims are always great. Especially the south Melbourne dim Sims.

VERY poor and disappointing experience we just had. Placed or order via the UberEats app at around 7pm (ordered a fish pack, a burger, a flake and some potato cakes/dimmies). At 8:15pm I called as we were still waiting, only to be told that 'our order was coming out right away as there was a mistake with the order and they had to re-make it all'. 8:40pm and still no food, so we called again to the same girl saying that 'they're still waiting for the driver', who was in fact outside and had been waiting there for over an hour. We FINALLY received our order at 8:50pm (almost 2 hours after we ordered!) and we had 1 flake missing (but an extra burger). Will never order food from here again

The older woman (I'm assuming the owner) is just lovely. Upon ordering, you sometimes get attitude from a couple of the young girls, but all-in-all it's a great fish and chip shop. Reasonable prices and great food. Will definitely keep coming back.

Made an order via Uber Eats. Order was accepted by the shop, and I was told it would take 45 minutes max to be prepared and delivered. Over an hour later the Uber driver is waiting at the shop to collect the order. One and a half hours after my order, I get a cancellation notice, without even the courtesy of a call to explain. Upon my call to the shop, I am told that they did not receive my order (despite the fact that it had been accepted) and that they could not help me other than to process the order again, which would not be ready for a further hour and a half. Terrible customer service and attitude. Would not recommend.

I went there this afternoon and the lady kindly gave me a grilled blue grenadier with 2 big potato cakes for $5 so why don't you go there to grab yourself a bargain?

This business must have changed hands. Was once quite good but not anymore. Ordered flake and chips, four scallops, two dim sims and a lamb souvlaki. All of it was terrible. 6pm last Saturday, no one else in the shop. Appears to be a father, mother and two daughters. Service was almost dismissive. Fish was not fresh, thin and overcooked (dry). Chips were overcooked. Scallops were tough and chewy. The least said about the souvlaki, the better. The dim sims? I specifically asked for no soy sauce but when I opened them they were drowning in it. In short, don't bother - disgusting and a waste of money.

Excellent fresh fish and the lovely tasty homemade chips have made this our favourite fish and chip shop even though we have to drive past three other fish and chip shops to get here. <br/>Friendly family is behind the counter and there are plenty of choices in this wonderful old fashioned quality fish and chip shop

Tried Paradise Fish and Chips tonight. Definitely the best in Ringwood. Fish cooked perfectly and very hot. Chips nice and chubby very potato-ey. Aussie burger delicious and that's from a burger master. We'll be back.

Our local fish'n'chip shop. We phone in an order and it's always waiting for me when I go to pick it up. Run by the owners who know what they're doing. Fish is fresh and chips are not the frozen ones but proper cut potatoes. Very happy with the service, best f&c in the district in my opinion. Always busy on a Friday night. They also do a deep fried Mars bar!

Haven't been here in years. This establishment must have been here for about 45 yrs, probably with 45 different owners . Today I thought I would try it. Had King George whiting and Chips, very impressed. Nice crispy batter and fresh tender fish. Chips nice and crispy not oily at all. I will be back, very impressed
