Some of the best food I have ever had! I went in last Wednesday for takeaway and was greeted my the best service I have reviewed by (who I'm assuming) was one of the female owners! I was 5 dollars short for my order and the woman was more than happy to wave it as I have been there many times. Would recommend 10 out of 10 and there saganaki is to die for! Will be back :)
Good food delivered is not always easy to find and I discovered by chance a few months ago, that Nikos delivers. I have had a few orders and last night I decided to order a fillet steak and salad.
I asked for the steak to be cooked as almost well done and it was absolutely perfect.
On a side note, their chips are super yummy and I've often gone there just to order a serve.

We had lunch yesterday at Nikos and ordered the vegetarian mezza and the vegan mezza. One of the best meals I have ever enjoyed and great value for money. I loved the grilled cheese and fabulous selection of dips and other vegetarian selections. I would highly recommend this place for lunch or dinner 😋
great good, great service. We were a bit apprehensive after reading the reviews, but found the staff to be lovely and attentive and the food to be fresh, quick and authentic. The dolmades are fantastic! Not sure how the reviews are so bad as we couldn’t fault it at all. Will definitely be back!
I have been going to Nikos since the late 80's. Second generation family business and authentic family friendly restaurant. I love it still and have never had a poor experience. The helpings are generous and the food is good. I'll be there again soon and will continue to recommend Nikos.
I went there with Kerrie to get some takeaway for Lunch this afternoon and I ordered the same thing to eat and Kerrie ordered the same to eat as well. The staff were nice to her and the service was amazing but I will not be returning anymore ever and you will lose me as a customer unless you do the takeaway Calamari and Chips for me for $8 everytime I come.
Succulent juicy kebabs, far tastier and better than any chain kebab I have tried. Definitely recommend. Do yourself a favour and visit Nikos for an authentic Greek kebab.

Nikos Tavern has been a regular spot for us since moving to the area.
We have both eaten in & taken away.
We have never had any issues with our dine in meals...
Take away however, has always been up in the air... Soggy chips, fatty meats and cold pita. We stopped going for awhile.
We decided to give it another chance on Friday night and am more than happy with what we picked up. Meat was lean, cut well & tasty. Chips & pita were hot and the saganaki to die for!!
I notice there were very few positive reviews over the passed few months, people will only bother if they have a bad experience. Well, 6 of us were there last night and had a great experience: food was good and service was excellent. Had a great vibe with the Greek dancing and the breaking of the plates.
we orded to meals and we weren't disappointed very big servings at a reasonable price, the staff were friendly and funny very well spoken. the atmosphere was very good too, defiantly recommend this place
Nikos Tavern has a great greek atmosphere and the dancing and plate breaking is superb. Where other greek tavernas have gone "up market" and "restaurant" Nikos has remained faithful to tradition. This is why we go there. Food is average and over spiced/salted but to be honest we go for the rebetika at 11pm on a Saturday night. Just when all the patrons have left, we are doing a sirtaki on the blue stoned dance floor. Nikos singing at the end of the night is also reminiscent of our taverna days in greece. Bravo Nikos. To the foodies that wanna rate the souvs or pick holes in the banquet, go visit a restaurant and leave Nikos to us old-school taverna lovers.

Very nice food and always huge servings of meat. Amazing dips and very nice bread. The banquet is definitely an amazing deal and very hard to finish. Dont be put off if you go for lunch and its pretty much empty, I went and ordered a small banquet and they gave extra stuff! Amazing Greek food for insanely cheap. Highly recommend the pickled baby octopus and all the dips, a must have
Nikos is hit and miss. Sometimes it's great. Sometimes you can't get someone to even come to the table. The meat mezze is fantastic value. Sometimes the meat is really gristly. And the takeaway packs have at times been cold, too much batter on the saganaki, but I love their dips and it's generally great. Zorba is a fun perk too!
Nikos is both close to my work and home therefore is my go to Greek lunch or dinner meal! I have never dined in the restaurant, but it is always crawling with both diners inside the restaurant and take away. Nikos is great value for money and taste! You see the food made fresh on the spot and I love the dips which come with the dinner packs! There are so many people working within this kitchen, sometimes it feels chaotic! But hey! They make it work, so I am not complaining. I usually order the lamb and chicken dinner pack for 1 or 2. Both chicken and lamb are always soft and tender, you also get your choice of chips, salad or veggies. Generous amounts of dip and pita bread! I have also tried their grilled calamari, definitely recommend that too! Will I be back? Of course! I have been back multiple times since my first taste of Nikos 4 months ago.
It's just like Greece!. This place is fantastic! The food is Greek, the people are Greek, the atmosphere is Greek! Authentic and brilliant. No it's not perfect, not it's not 5 star dining, but if you want an authentic experience, this is the place! Perfectly cooked meat you never need to add salt to! Yum!!!!!
Birthday Dinner for 6. Beautiful food, havent been for ages and could belive how much the food had improved, serves to feed a healthy hungry family and great food, happy helpful staff, couldnt have asked for more and didnt break the bank.

Awesome greek. Had lunch with large group sunday as soon as the tavern opened. Ordered a mixed grill for 2 and it was fresh and yum. Have been to Nikos 4-5 times as well as ordering kebabs takeaway and have always loved it.
Horrible customer service, they are lucky the food makes up for it
This is not the best Greek you will eat but the plate smashing and Zorba dancing makes it a fun night out with friends.. Go, eat & make some memories with friends :)
Get him to the greek!. I love this place....have only ever had the meat mezze or the banquet but on all occasions i have never been dissapionted.
The food is served freshly and promptly with just enough time in between courses.

I don't know what you're all on about, I'm currently 3/4 way through the banquet and it's BLOODY BEAUTIFUL! Being actual greeks, our opinion on greek food is a lot more valid than your average Joe. fantastic food with a lovely waitress!
The manager (niko?) is an absolute tool. Has a go at staff and customers all the time. Dinner pack is great - massive meal to takeaway. Positive for food, negative for service because of niko
We dined for lunch and had the banquet for 2. Amazing value and such great variety. Banquet included dips and bread, saganaki, chicken, pork, lamb, fish, prawns and dessert with tea or coffee. Great friendly service with a dance floor for Greek dancing.
Our family celebrated a birthday here last night. Everything was perfect. Our waiter was so courteous and NOTHING was too much trouble. All staff were wonderful. Everyone loved their generous sized meal. Something for everyone on the menu and good prices. Very happy
I have a love/hate relationship with this place. On one hand, it's amazing, my kids love it. I've had a few orders over the past few years that have made me rethink about coming back, their dinner packs seemed to keep changing, sometimes everything just thrown in, sometimes meats in containers. One order arrived with salad instead of chips, another took hours. Most recent order was spot on though, I'm hoping they have turned the corner. I'd probably give them 3-4 star review based on 5+ years of ordering, however they probably get an unfair amount of 1 star reviews, and the fact it's still top 3 on the list of take away options for us has to push it to a 5. Online order, pick up if you can to give yourself the best chance at the 5 star experience.
