Cupcakes and ice chocolate were good. Prices were reasonable and staff were nice and friendly. Location is convenient.
Ideal spot to quickly grab a cup of coffee and something to nibble on mid shopping. The coffees are of a good quality and the cupcakes fresh and of a big enough variety to satisfy most’s preferences. I was glad to see that the frosting did not dominate the cupcake but rather complimented it. The Carrot Cupcake has a small carrot meringue on top, which not only gave it a quaint look but also provided a surprising crunchiness to the topping.
After a busy morning of shopping, I could not resist the call of those beautiful sweet cupcakes behind the glass display counter of Cupcake Central.
I'm always enamoured by their rotating new flavours and for today, the taro and snickers cupcakes were calling out to me to bring them home.
The taro cupcake was spectacular. The cupcake was moist and pillowy soft. The coconut frosting was genius! The snickers cupcake consisted of a rich, velvety chocolate cupcake with a creamy, delectable peanut butter frosting. I could live on these things forever!
Service was really friendly and accomodating. I haven't had cupcakes for a long time but today's experience might be the start of a new addiction...

Known for their delicious fluffy and moist buttercream, sometimes filled cupcakes is Cupcake Central. We frequently visit the Melbourne Central location, and sometimes Glenferrie too, but this is a rare visit to Eastland. With a stall in the middle of the mall there isn't really seats so it's more of a take-away spot, though there's lovely spots outside in the court (assuming there are no smokers out there. There's classics and then there's seasonal cupcakes at the standard $4.50. Minis are $2.50.
Staff was friendly and fast service. We bought Oreo, Chocolate and Watermelon. They looked very pretty and it wasn't super sweet so it was very nice.
How refreshing to get exactly what you ordered! Friendly and hard working staff. The coffee here is fantastic quality and the mini velvet cake was soooo yummy. Just hit the spot!
The Jam Donut is Bomb. 10/10 recommend. Life ain't complete otherwise. The Misses will force you to drive to Eastland to get some. If she can't have the small ones she will buy the big one. God Save Me
Great vegan cupcakes! Just wish they had more vegan flavours to choose from. Also they need some chairs for the tables behind their stall...and they need to clean the tables more often.
Usually if a place focuses on cupcakes I find the coffee tobe poor. It’s like all this time and effort has been spent on the cupcakes andthe coffee is an afterthought. Cupcake central nails both awesome cupcakes andreally good coffee. Well done!
I really like these cupcakes - yes they are very sweet and sugary and are obviously meant to be enjoyed every now and then. I love that they have very different flavour combinations compared to other cupcake stores and there's always something new to try. The presentation looks great too. I do find them to be a bit expensive compared to others but it's worth it!
So excited CC is finally at Eastland! After having to purchase these cupcakes all the away from the city, I'm sooo exciting that these guys have made it to the eastern suburbs. These guys have so many flavours that is almost difficult to pick one. The staff were very friendly and managed to help me narrow it down to the lemon slice and bubblegum. Both were amazing!!! Absolutely made my Saturday morning! Amazing cakes served with amazing customer service.
4/5 - the smell got me and my little one to line up as wow it smelled so good!
I'm a bit of a Disney mum.. So Leo my boy had two cupcakes. One vegan red velvet and one sticky date. He loved both but obviously preferred the one loaded with sugar and butter.
Lovely staff here - I didn't see any gluten free options but maybe I didn't look but lots of people queuing to get a little morsel here. 2 mini was $5 - a bargain to shush up a child 😂😂
DO: Any of the cupcakes. Arguably the best cupcake operator in Melbourne. What an incredible journey from humble Hawthorn digs to Melbourne Central, to Highpoint to Eastland ... What next?!?!
DON'T: Order without a coffee. Not surprisingly... It's very good as always.
