Really great local seafood from Gus’ always bought our fish and chips from them. Great service using Deliveroo also and friendly staff. Recommend visiting this shop 👏🏼👏🏼
I've only ever stuck to ordering certain items on the menu here as some things in the past I've ordered were a hit or miss, but my favourites are definitely the "Dinner pack" and the "Fish burger". The fish is not your typical beer batter, it is crumbed whiting which really melts in your mouth as you eat it. The homemade spring roll also isn't bad, tastes much better than the chiko rolls you get from the corner store. Majority of the items are coated in the same beer batter which is not my favourite thing but in small quantities is fine. However, in terms of value, I would still say its considered cheap and reasonable when you look at the quantity they give you in the meals. Also, the 'homemade' tartare sauce is quite nice if you're willing to spare a few dollars for a small pot of it. As a local business, they've been there for many years and I will continue to support them.
I went to gus's seafood today and I really enjoy the food and the service also nothing beats being asked how was your food after finishing your food makes you feel like a valued customer
I've been going to Gus's Seafood for about 7 years now. I always ask them to make my special potato scallop burger. The chips are awesome....you have to try this place out.
One of the best fish and chip shops I've been to! You can taste the love they put into their food. Friendly staff that really make you feel like part of the Gus's family.
I'm addicted to the potato scallops, hand made ones not those fake ones! I'll always try something new each time I go (which is often) including grilled fish they take from the fresh seafood window and cook in front of you. Staff are always nice even when they busy. Close to train station, follow the delicious hot chip smell when you come up the stairs.
Been here a few times before, usually I don't like fish but my dad convinced me to try their fish burger. I was actually stunned... it didn't have that fishy taste that a lot of people, including myself, seem to hate. Not greasy either. I really rated it :)
Dad got the BBQ Octopus and Barramundi (with the secret special spices)
It's a bonus that the staff are really funny and helpful. It adds to the enjoyment of the experience.
I think I just found my new addiction!

Top Marks on there Grilled Fish such a healthy alternative. always fresh... The Burgers are a must try made with fresh ingredients. i highly recommend Gus's seafood to anyone wanting that fish and chip hit. you will not be dissapointed!
Best fish n' chips in town by a long shot! Have been coming here for years and never fails to disappoint. I would recommend the Dietary Special.

The BBQ Seafood Platter for three people is defiantly worth it! It's $40 and you can't even finish it. Recommend this place to anyone who loves nice authentic burgers and seafood! 😍

Always loved it here. Grew up in the neighborhood having their fish and chips, battered scallops (they don't over cook it like most places) and mussels, occasionally going for their BBQ octopus for a good pick up from a bad day. It's good and honest, good deals too.
^ after reminiscing and eating their yesterday for the above review... We just had to go back again! Although the battered scallops don't come with the roe no more (each to their own, I liked it :P), it is still a decent price. It remains juicy and plump in the batter, not overcooked and even bigger than before. Worth trying their battered mussels and 8 for $2.50 battered onion rings. Watch out on the chicken salt, salty. #goodsouthsydneyfare
Fantastic seafood,try the xxx large home made spring rolls.They are sensational.The battered fish is superb and the bbq seafood platter was as good as if not better thsn most top seafood restaurants for a 5th of the price.
I used to buy fish & chips from here all the time when I was a little kid after school. Very nostalgic to comeback after 30 years and still get the same taste as I remember it. You can't get this kind of food living in New York City, I'll be sure to bring the chicken salt back with me. Great walk down memory lane. Never change!

Pleasantly surprised. The BBQ Garlic Prawns and Marinated Squid was really good. Loved the crumbed Calamari. Grilled fish was a bit dry. Overall would definitely go back for the pawns, squid and Calamari
have bene going here for many years and until recently would of rated 5 star and above. the food is always good but lately the staff have been missing items in orders ( every time I get home to find part of the order missing )and never add lemon in with fish as should be standard .
Very rarely eat out but this octopus was cooked perfectly. Not chewy at all 👌
Best local place ever! Whether you like seafood or not, this is the place to be. I don’t usually go for seafood but this place made me love it. Highly recommended!
