Celebrated my daughterโs first birthday with a bunch of folks at this restaurant. Lovely ambience and very polite owners. Ordered a variety of dishes and loved it all especially the lamb saag and butter chicken๐ฅDefinitely coming back for more!

Ordered via Doordash but they were least helpful, so posting the review here.
I ordered a lamb seekh kebab (that tasted ok), goat curry and 2 wholemeal rotis - but what I received was 1 plain naan (made of white flour) and an extremely oily curry with goat pieces swimming inside.
I wish had taken a photo of the bread I received. I have been asked by my doctors not to consume any white flours and instead of ordering whole meal rotis, what I received was a hard piece of naan.
Goat curry was extremely oily (as you can see from the photo), with just 2-3 on bone goat pieces.
All in all a waste of $48...My whole dinner (and also health) is ruined.
Never going to order from this place again.

Haven't eaten Indian food for quite a while because it has all been rubbish. This place is EXCELLENT.
A shame it is wasted on the gc.

If you have been disappointed by the lack of authenticity (and excessive sweetness) of Indian food on the GC to date, then look no further, India Garden is the ๐ฃ ๐ฏ (the reviews below no lie).
And a special mention for the service. The last time we placed a (direct) phone order, they accidently gave us saffron rice. We weren't upset (just wanted to ensure we got our fave Jeera rice), however mentioned it to the young lady (blonde hair) when ordering last Friday (in-house). When we returned to pick it up 10m later, she had upgraded us to a large rice and free papadoms (she had even written us an apology post-it note! - see photo) What a ๐ซ ๐ฏ (these are the people you want working for you). The owners are always lovely too.
BTW, if you like heat & spice, I recommend this as the ultimate order - way too much for two, but makes for transcendental leftovers.
1/ Naan stuffed with green chillis ๐ถ๐ถ๐ถ
2/ Chana Saag (chickpeas with spinach) - order mild ๐ถ
3/ Goat (boneless) Vindaloo - order Indian Spicy ๐ถ๐ถ๐ถ
4/ Chicken Chettinad - order Indian Spicy ๐ถ๐ถ๐ถ
5/ Jeera rice (large) - rice with ghee and cumin seeds
Serve with a classic indian salad of chopped ๐
, onion and coriander. Add some tempered curry leaves (buy a plant from Bunnings) to the goat vindaloo.
You're welcome ๐ฅ๐ฝ๐๐๐ฅ

Had the goat curry with saffron rice but neither were very nice. It tasted very fatty even though I got extra veggies. The staff seemed nice so maybe I got unlucky this time.
The saffron rice just tasted like it was microwaved and not fresh.

Ordered 2 curries and both curries was not what we ordered. Called them to confirm that is it mistake or what ?
Instead of accepting their his mistake, Chef replied I made it my style and start questioning that why can't you guys eat that ? hahahhaah now we need to eat whatever Indian garden chef want us to eat.
We ordered according to our taste from menu and this chef with 0 knowledge of allergies, keep mixing up vegetables that no one will know about it.
This is second time same thing happen, ignored at first place that it might be mistake because of busy day or something but realised it now that Quality of Food is very poor.
Just Wondering Is he actually CHEF ? or owner saving money and cooking himself.
NEVER GOING BACK

Fantastic food and friendly chef. When we are down from the Sunshine Coast we always come here. We love the Chettinad Lamb curry. Highly recommended
