Review Yum Cha Robina - Robina

Vivian Leung
I went to Yum cha twice over the past 2 weeks. Have to say I am very impressed by the quality of the food. The steamed dumplings were great and I have probably tasted the best "Cheung Fun" (Steamed rice broad noodles with Beef fillings) in Gold Coast so far. The food was served hot and fairly quick. I ordered chrysanthemum plus Jasmine tea in a pot and it was very good. Service was delivered by friendly staff. I would recommend this place to anyone. You can look for the Red Car park at the back of the Promenade to save some walking time.

Not good at all. The soup had chunks of gelatine and mad me feel sick. Didn’t pay for it. The rest of the food was tasteless and not enjoyable at all. In addition, the service was cold and rude. I was scoffed at when asked if we could order food when we finally we’re asked if we wanted drinks like “well duh” never going again

The chicken feet and BBQ Pork Crispy is dry , and the service is not good as well

The food was pre made and stale, the chicken was dry and the service was awful. I used to love eating at the harbour town and robina locations but it has become so expensive per dish that I would atleast expect it to match what you get not to mention the grubby spiderweb filled walls need a decent clean.

Visited during school term break, so quite busy. Although there’re just 3 waiters, they’re still attentive to customers. The food was served hot and fast. The BBQ pork bun and Shanghai style steamed pork buns were quite bland. Siu Mai, fried pork dumplings and spring rolls were ok. The sauce of the satay chicken was good but the chicken was dry as the chef deep fried it. The deep fried bait, fried rice and vegetables were nice. The most disappointed one was the BBQ Roast Pork. It’s definitely reheated so the meat was very dry and the skin was not crunchy. The coconut pudding dessert was also very bland.

Our favourite Chinese restaurant. Food is good - fresh and tasty. Pricing is not bad but would not say is value for money however is not of an issue for me as I am willing to pay for good food. Decor could be better- a bit dated. Bench seats are not that comfortable - need to replace the foam. I don't like the paper table cloth they use, I feel it degrades the ambience and the experience of eating good Chinese food. Apart from that I highly recommend them.

Hands down the best yum cha, cannot fault this place, nice undercover outdoor seating, fast and friendly service. I love the squid tentacles 🦑I'll be back !
