Review Kampung Malay - Robina

Hi Folks My first time visit after driving past for years, the decor is very clean and simple. We were greeted by Lisa when we entered who was genuinely very friendly and was the waitress for the evening. She was the only waitress and yet did and extremely good job with our drinks and orders and was very friendly. Luckily the food was also very good also, no side effects from any MSG or artificial rubbish for me after eating which was a plus, the food was definitely good enough for us to all go back. Lisa was amazing considering she was working front of house alone. Thanks Lisa it’s due to people like yourself that make me want to actually dine out.

A really nice BYO restaurant with exceptional genuine friendly & efficient service. It’s a spacious restaurant with simply delicious food and obviously its popular by the number of people there mid week. The image is a Kung Po Chicken that was an amazing authentic dish packed with flavour and super fresh vegetables. One of the best value healthy meals you will get on the coast under $15

Nice food but very rude waitress. We stood at the counter today for lunch waiting whilst she sat at a table with a male friend!. Totally disinterested in serving . Awful experience she was completely disengaged .

Lovely food and popular with the locals. Kid friendly. My kids love the fried malaysian chicken wings.

Food good, service and delivery not, had the 7 dishes we ordered drip fed over an hour, 3 to start off with, then one every 10 minutes or so. I expect delivered this way because we advised we'd need a bigger table and got rudely told they were for the bigger groups and had to be kept free in case they got a few large walk ins (after 06:30 on a Sunday night, yeah right). Complained about the plates arriving staggered and got told the kitchen was swamped with take away meals, great, so my dinner is ruined so they can attend to take aways? Instead of having mixed hot tasty variety, ended up with sweet and sour and cold rice at the end. Very disappointing, will not be back.

I have had takeaway here before many times and the food is always awesome! But this time we decided to eat in and we arrived at the restaurant at 5:20pm and waited quite a while to be greeted by the staff (3 staff behind the bar doing nothing). We were advised that they were booked out and then turned their heads away. Because we didn’t book ahead we didn’t really mind that they were busy... (there were 3 tables eating dinner btw) Our issue was the staff not interested in even giving us a takeaway menu, the old lady behind the bar needs a change of attitude... soo rude... never supporting this business again... ***update*** Sent you an email Kate, never heard back from you... stellar customer service...

Beautiful, fresh, generously sized dishes at great prices. Some of our favourites are honey prawns, chicken chow mein with crispy noodles, salt and pepper calamari, hokkien noodles and roast duck. They easily cater for large groups with plenty of off street parking, making it ideal for birthdays and celebrations. This review is for the Robina restaurant but I'm sure they'd all be good
