A great experience for an unexpected dinner out. Found it very easy with two kids (3yo and 6months). Food came before we knew we had been waiting and that's when the experience went from good to delicious!
Ordered the popcorn on the cob just to see and ended up eating most of it. Saw whiskey on a dish and blindly ordered it. I didn't get a look in here as the better half devoured it. That's a huge compliment as she usually picks at food. Lasange spring roll was normal looking but the flavour was the complete opposite. Let's just say lasagne spring roll > cheeseburger spring roll.
Striploin on the bone was seasoned so well my 3yo decided the bone was hers to hold and eat. Of which I promptly made a video that any father would be proud of and sent it to relatives.
Prices were low. $16 for entrees is excellent in 2017. You would spend the same across the road for food and service that's is 20% of the quality we had tonight. The banksia is right in that price point where you could go a couple of times a week.
Service was great. Went to order dessert and was told about a new one that wasn't on the menu, which was equally as good as the savory options.
All round great experience and it's great to have a joke with non stiff floor staff.
The food is incredible, with excellent service & great decor. A new gem restaurant that's a must. Perfect wine choices to compliment the food. Highly recommend
Clayton is one amazing person. We had an event in the mezzanine. He looked after us sooo well. Kids had a blast. Food is amazing. Definitely will be back. So lucky have such a great place to go to.
Loved it. So nice to finally have a nice place to eat in this area. Food was fantastic and a taste sensation. We started with the terrine to share. I then had the roast beef with Yorkshire pudding while my husband had the corned beef. I found the corned beef to be a little salty but we totally loved our meals. Staff were super friendly too. We'll be back again soon! Great Irish food.
The food & service is amazing!!! It takes 'pub grub' to a new, delicious level..... Try it, you won't be disappointed...... #banksiahotel #banksiabistro #yum

Thoroughly enjoyed our Taste of Ireland experience on St Patrick's Day! Food was delicious as was the wines that accompanied each dish! We will be back
Finally make it down to eat at the Bistro after a friend had posted many times the meals he had here. Really enjoyed our selection, very flavoursome meals and good portions. The standout dishes for me were the chicken salad and the greens w/ cheese entree (asparagus and broccolini). I also loved the lettuce side with the barramundi, it simply had this delicious dressing drizzled throughout it and it was amazing. Highly recommend, exceeded expectation.
The food is delicious you can tell it's made with care and passionate chef the staff are warm and friendly and know the menu you wouldn't know you're eating at a pub. Great food at reasonable price definitely will go back with the family
We had a great lunch at Banksia Bistro. The chicken schnitzel was perfectly cooked and the chilli mayo was just right. The pulled pork bun was a special on the day and was great as well. Good fresh clean surroundings with a nice atmosphere. Definitely recommend and will return.
Good food. The beef cheeks were amazing!!! so soft and delicious with a good amount of jus. had a few bites of my husband's chicken schnitzel - i usually don't like chicken schnitzel but this was one was an exception. very lovely!
Another great family get together at the Banksia - roomy and open, clean surrounds ideal for all ages of the family, complimented with great pub food. Staff, both in the restaurant and the bar, were efficient and pleasant. Couldn't ask for more!
