Great atmosphere food was awesome staff took care of everything great for couple or groups

Took my wife here for her birthday dinner expecting a decent dining experienc. Had been looking forward to trying skyrings… We ordered the rib fillet med rare, eye fillet med rear with lobster and the white fish. The rib fillet was rare at best and my wife couldn’t eat it, the eye fillet was blue and lobster like rubber, the white fish was also like rubber and my daughter wouldn’t eat it…. French martini was decent and red wine was nice……. My wife was too nice to say anything and didn’t want me to say anything.. so we left and picked up hungry jacks on the way home.. not what I expected

Choice and quality of food is great, service and staff are top notch. Located overlooking the Fitzroy River the breezes are welcome and the restaurant has been beautifully decked out. Great ambiance. Thanks guys we will be back when are in Rockhampton next.

Absolutely the best restaurant in Rockhampton. Chilli crab pasta entre and beef rib main were amazing. Look no further for the best beef in Queensland. Excellent waitress, attentive and friendly service. Quite surprised to find such a great dining experience at a motel. Also stayed here for the night. Nice room too. Clean and quality bed. Would definitely stay and dine here again.

Such a great place to go for dinner. the staff are really friendly and the food is fresh and amazing! If you want somewhere nice to go out, you must try this restaurant!

Fantastic meal and service at Skyrings before going to The Jersey Boys at the Pilbeam Theatre. Superb oysters and Duck Breast for myself and the ladies had Scallops and Fish. All meals beautifully presented and most delicious. Wonderful service and atmosphere. Can’t wait to return for an encore.

Food was good - but way overpriced for what it was. Cocktails lacked fineness however charged top dollar. Good intentions, they tried hard but the overall experience was not worth the price.

I literally never write reviews but this dining experience was just sooo bizarre that I felt compelled to share. I came in Sunday evening after viewing the menu online. The photos of the food looked amazing and I was very hungry and ready to eat a lot! They have 2 menus at this establishment; the a la Carte menu and the tapas menu. When I arrived I was asked which menu I would like and I asked for both (as I had already known what I intended to order because like I said, I viewed the menu online). I was informed that the tapas menu was designed for the outdoor cocktail area whilst the a la carte menu was the full “fine-dining” restaurant experience indoors. I ordered the Atlantic salmon, fresh oysters, and pan seared scallops from the a la Carte menu but was also interested in the chilli pancetta mussels from the tapas menu. I was told that because they are two different menus that I would have to eat the mussels outside... even though all the food is prepared in the SAME kitchen at the SAME restaurant operating under the SAME name. Even though I had already ordered 3 items off the a la Carte menu , I was not able to enjoy my mussels along with the rest of my meal because it was off the tapas menu. This really put me off as I am the type of person who enjoys eating all of my food and experiencing all of their different flavors together. I found it absolutely ridiculous that after my scallops and oysters I was forced outside into the cold to eat my mussels.. only to return back inside for my main dish moments later. ?? There was absolutely no common logic behind this. It simply did not make sense. So although the food was amazing, the staff were very unaccommodating. I had asked several times if I could please just enjoy all of my food together but they were very insistent on me having to eat the mussels outside in the cold. After being very vocal about the unorthodox seating protocol, a waitress finally offered me a blanket to wear as I ate my tapas. That’s right, instead of simply letting me enjoy the mussels at the table I had already eaten at and was going to be returning to eat at, they’d rather give me a blanket outside. Whatever, at least I wasn’t cold anymore right? I was then approached by the owner, (Brad or Brett). He asked if I was enjoying the food and explained that the restaurant has only been open for about 3 weeks and seemed like a nice guy but was still unable to justify why it was necessary for me to move tables. I was really hoping that my frustration was visible and he’d just allow me to take the mussels inside with the rest of my food but nope. Not only was moving tables very annoying (and in my opinion just unnecessary), I’m not sure if it was the Covid-Safe thing to do... especially with the recent outbreak in south Queensland. Luckily I was dining alone, because if it were a large group of us transferring in and out it would be much more concerning COVID wise. The food was absolutely amazing though!!! I would have really really loved to come back to try more of the menu before I leave Rockhampton but the idea of going through the hassle of moving seats repeatedly and dealing with the not so friendly staff is so off putting that I unfortunately will not be returning. So if anyone can recommend any other places for great fresh seafood in rockhampton- let me know! Preferably a place where I can enjoy my entire meal as one 🤪

The steak 300 g was the best steak i have eaten in years and the Diane sauce was absolutely beautiful never had better at a restaurant

Beautiful meal! Oysters kilpatrick were very tasty, but a little on the small side. Sesame encrusted Salmon with horseradish sauce was absolutely amazing! The staff were very efficient and lovely! Overall, I was very happy with my experience.

The best steak I have ever had, absolutely delicious!

For the cost, the food was exceptional. But it was the friendliness and attendiveness of the staff that made this one of my most enjoyable dining experiences.

Couldn't fault the food or the service, the food was delicious, everyone you had working on the floor tonight were fantastic, big friendly smiles, thank you �
