Review Boathouse - Rockhampton

Tried out a vegan burger for a Mother's Day lunch, colourful and quite tasty. The double shot cappuccino was nice, although I kind of felt it needed more coffee...the cups are great, good design, handles are so important.

Great view of Fitzroy River,we had breakfast, poached eggs were perfect ,very generous serve of avocado and mushrooms. Big bum chairs were comfy,and staff friendly.

The food was really good and the environment was relaxing, with a good view of the river. Drinks were a bit slow, but the good food made up for it. We will be back.

Best spot in Rocky for a relaxing afternoon drink. I had one of 2 local Craft beers tap( both mid strength)& were not too bad . ( I was given a free taste of the other to sample) . A bowl of sweet potato chips and sauce went down well .The staff were super friendly & we had a great chat about all things local . I can definitely recommend and we would certainly come back again.

Won't be going back. $7 for unbuttered toast (you have to butter it yourself with frozen piles of butter) and the coffees tasted burnt and a really think layer of chocolate over the top. The lady taking out orders was really sweet tho 🙂

Steak was ok, a bit chewy, sad as it's a great venue but the main Prawn and Mango was HORRIBLE. 3 tiny prawns NO MANGO. Has to be the smallest main I've ever seen. Great view. Don't order food. Oh, they forgot the pepper sauce and no salt and pepper. One star for the view

The best part of this restaurant is the position. You can’t get any more “on the river “ than this. You have to queue up for drinks and then separately to order food, but the service and food is good.

The service and food was good but if I could just give one criticism was that you over cooked the red emperor just a tad, the salad was good and chips were perfect. The red curry prawns were excellent and a good wine list. Thanks for a really enjoyable Saturday arvo lunch.

The location great. The venue is great. The service was good, although having to order and prepay at the bar was not. But the food is not great the two entrees were way too salty. The burger was bad, the cheese was indescribably bad, melted away and only a thin burnt piece of plastic remained. The burger patty tasted and felt like it came out of the frozen section from the supermarket. The seafood linguine had a cup of olive oil in the bottom of the plate and the taste was just wrong and the seafood over cooked. Such a nice place, with such nice service this place needs an overhaul in the kitchen.

Yum! The food was incredible, we had the beef noodle wok and swapped the beef for tofu, and the pork stir fry dish and they were both super fresh and flavoursome. Along with that all of the staff were sweethearts, really quick and efficient and make a delish cocktail. Very happy visitors from Melbourne :)

I really love this place. It is fresh and modern. This outdoor eatery overlooking the river has great service and a stunning view.<br/><br/>I eat here fairly often and food is good quality, but the menu is limited in terms of fresher non fried options.<br/><br/>Cocktails are inventive and coffee is very good

Wonderful food and in a great spot too! It is now my new go-to place for a nice meal in Rockhampton. The sezchuan baby squid is definitely a favourite of mine.

I had the grilled chicken and swapped to sweet potato chips. Look at that portion ! For it’s price I’d say it’s worth every penny. Flavours were excellent and the undeniable gorgeous view! Can’t faulty experience. Something about the service in this town but it was two thumbs up, left smiling!
