Review Antonio's Italian Pizzeria - Rockhampton

"La Prima" was great, "Ferrera" was excellent and the "Riparossa" was to my uneducated palate, a rippa. Thank you for enjoyable meal.

Pizza was wonderful, staff were great and the atmosphere was relaxed. We had a large table, probably 12 or so. The food was timely and the drink range was big for a restaurant this size, drinks were also leaning to a more affordable price. A glass of white moscato and two northern original stubbles were $18. My only feed back would be that on the night we went, it was rainy, and the exposed aggregate walkway to the toilets was so slippery, a friend of the family fell over and was a bit sore. Would definitely eat there again.

It started out well we where greeted seated and left to peruse the menu the young girl ask for our drink order first we placed our food and drink order then we waited and waited all while we started melt the garlic bread arrived we are and waited and waited we approached the bar asking about our drink order which they clearly forgot by the response and look on her face then we waited again and one meal arrived waited then drinks and second meal arrived again with the waiting to the point the first two meals where half eaten before the third arrived still sweltering we paid mentioned about the heat she apologized and said the remote was broken. So if you are prepared to wait and swelter in an over staffed restaurant for reasonably ok food and poor service you found the right place.

Smells authentic when you walk in but if you are used to eating authentic Italian this is not for you.... I was dissatisfied with the undercooked and over sweet garlic pizza and the carbonara tasted like a packet mix... soz...for my $35 bill I left hungry and dissatisfied. If the orher reviews are anything to go by....they must be family or only stick to a standard pizza.

Very disappointed in our takeaway meals. Over nighting travellers looking for a great pasta. Each dish was so over salted we could not taste any other flavours. Dont bother ordering the pasta. Maybe they do better pizzas?

Pizzas were delicious, a great selection of options on the menu at reasonable prices. A family friendly, cosy and clean restaurant to dine in.

Great place with yummy pizza. Have been coming here for years. Sad that it's closing this venue but at least the great pizzas will be available from its Northside store.

Best pizza in town bar none. One pizza can feed a family of four no worries. Haven't dined in, though that is an option.

Had a takeaway pasta here about a year ago. Wasn't a fan as the bolognese was too sweet - didn't return all year. Decided to give them another try. Fail. Ordered a pizza and removed a couple of toppings which left only 3 toppings. Go to collect it to be told "sorry we don't have any 'insert ingredient here' because it's really hard to get at the moment." I respond "so my pizza is basically only going to have 2 things on it then?" No offer to put something else on it. No offer of a discount, especially considering I'd already requested no feta on it. I then said "I really wanted 'insert ingredient' on it, but I guess I'm stuck with it aren't it..." Leaves such a sour taste in my mouth, and you guessed it, the pizza is incredibly bland. No third chances. Increased rating slightly as the base is reasonable.

Went here with a friend for dinner as it seems to be pretty much the only non-franchise pizza place around. It was ok- we shared a Martina pizza with a side salad and sticky date pudding for dessert. The pizza crust was a bit tough, not the soft delicate type that one might expect from a true Italian pizzeria. The toppings were ok- olives were canned ones and there wasn't quite enough fresh basil to cut through the salt of the anchovies. Would have helped if they used mozzarella cheese or proper olives that weren't so salty as the combination of Parmesan/canned salty olives/anchovies was too much salt! Dessert was nice, nothing special though. Would consider coming back, only to avoid the chain restaurants...

Absolutely awful. Frozen base may as well be a supermarket pizza. I honestly don't understand how they can serve this "pizza" and ask for money in return. Nothing Italian about it but I guess when in Rome.
