Review Red Rooster - Rockhampton

Very terrible experience from here tonight. I placed an order at 5:30 to be delivered at 6:30 through their own website. This was the only thing that was correct with my order. I ordered a big feast added on 2 large chips. Half the order was missed. Completely left out all of the fried chicken, 2 large chips & coleslaw. Received the wrong drink. I called the store to rectify the issue. it took 7 calls over 3 phones before anyone picked up. The woman with the Kiwi accent I spoke to on the phone did not care at all. I was given the option that they would replace the meal, though it would be at least 45 minutes. I was not okay with waiting this long & was given the option to pick it up instead though I would not be compensated for the delivery portion of the payment. I decided on a refund because it would be quicker & easier to get a whole, correct dinner from elsewhere. She mentioned that the store has some new staff & that's why the order was incorrect & I had to point out to here that an apology would have been nice of which she didn't sound like she really cared. As someone who has worked in hospitality & understands that new staff do make mistakes, the handling of the issue was appalling & it was very clear that she didn't really care about the outcome of the issue. Edit: The only thing I can congratulate this woman on doing is making a follow up phone call to let me know she'd process the refund. Congrats to her on doing that.

One of the worst meals I have had. Not blaming the staff it's the food.

I had lunch here today, food was yummy and fresh. Staff were friendly and professional. Restaurant was clean and tidy and has toilet facilities.

Very slow service, but the staff were very friendly. A huge effort is needed in house keeping kitchen is as bad as the shop front.. just a good clean is as good as a face lift..

My favourite take out. Chicken is always 10/10 as a rule. Prices are reasonable. Four stars only as chicken salt is forgotten a lot whether drive thru or delivery in past couple of month’s. (I forget to ask for it if I do they add too much) Staff always friendly & patient with orders. Glenmore is preferred store

Always the closest to a home cooked roast chicken dinner.

Possibly the cleanest takeaway shop I’ve ever seen, not only that but the food probably had the best quality out of anywhere else I’ve eaten at. Keep up the good work
