This place is place casual but not informal ie: you are served and waited on at your table and the wine is poured for you but there are no rigid formalities. I have been here several times for both lunch and dinner. Although I have read some bad reviews of this venue I have never been disappointed and found both the service and food quality very consistent.
I have tried several of the dishes on the menu and found them all pleasing with my favorite being the Tandoori Chicken. Indian food is rich in spice, textural and recipes vary depending on the region. Therefore depending where the restaurant is referencing there maybe variations with some meals or sides from other restaurants that you have been to.
The decor is comfortable and clean with enough soft furnishings so that noise is not reflected. This is a restaurant where you can enjoy several courses over a conversation without straining to hear or having to repeat yourself. The food is reasonably priced and so to are the beverages and wine. Overall I think it is good value and the lunch specials are fantastic value. I have been many times and will continue to return.

great place to go for a non-allergy sufferer. But if you have anything you can't eat, it isn't easy to find much to eat. Everything else its brilliant, but as GF/DF I had no options.

Lunch specials are the way to go... For the best value, we recommend the vegetarian lunch special for $16. It includes 2 Veg Curries (varies daily), Dhal, Rice, Naan Bread and Pappadams. The dhal is one of the nicest we have ever had, very smooth and creamy. I'd recommend vegetarian over their meat dishes as I find them to be much better.
No lunch?. Went to meet up with 4 other friends and have lunch here on Friday only to learn you are now only open for dinner... Real shame as we love eating here!

SIMPLY THE BEST!. I have just returned from Brisbane which boasts (so I am told) several of THE best Indian Restaurants in Australia. Living in the West End near South Bank I was able to walk to some of these and sampled their food on a few occasions. They were good, no mistake, but simply cannot compare with Chutney Mary's in Rockingham WA I am VERY sorry to say. As an ex restauranteur I DO know meat, the cut, the quality and the freshness and Chutney M's surpasses the best that any other Indian Restaurant in any of the 4 states I regularly visit have to offer.
The sizes of their portions is equal to the best and greater than several, but the overall dining experience cannot be surpassed.
Returning from Queensland I went to their Rockingham Restaurant just to compare (having had Indian food the night before in South Brisbane) and it STILL features as the best Indian food I have ever eaten. Please keep up the great work and hope you have a great Christmas, but open soon after as my partner and I are HANGING for more!.
A good change. Look it's not the best curry you'll ever have and the location is a bit dire but the friendly staff and interior make up for the rest.

I have never been into eating Curry but since eating at Chutney Mary's i have become a regular. The service is outstanding, and the staff are all very friendly. The food is amazing and always tastes fresh ! Would highly reccomend trying this place out !

Best Indian in W.A. I've eaten a lot of Indian food and by far this place is the best! Never disappointed the staff provide the best service, always making sure your satisfied. Whenever I make the trip to Rockingham I stop here for dinner because I know Im going to have a good night.

The food was so damn gooood it made me feel as if i am actually in india.

Exceptional. The food, the service and the decor here are all phenomenal. The butter chicken here is so good and we have not been able to find better in Perth, nor elsewhere in the world! Including in a very authentic Indian restaurant in Dubai! Try the Palak paneer and cheese naan too.

Chutney definately no chuck-ney!. My partner & myself decided at the last minute to try this place in Subiaco after the football match. To say the least , the meal was way more exciting than the game by far. We had the cheese nann bread which was lip shmackin! the Rogan Josh which was cooked to perfection and flavour which was mind blowing. The Chicken Korma was melt in your mouth quality. These dishes along with a generous serve of rice for 2 was sensational. At first when the meals came out I was like "where's the rest of our order" so if you are a big eater , you will be disappointed. However the amount of food was enough to fill even the hungriest hunger-strike protest person on the planet. The only down fall is the toilets...After opening a door to access these facilities , I was greeted with a dingy alley way with dirty buckets , poor lighting and a resemblence of India that made me feel i just stepped off a plane there..I suppose you can't get more authetic than that! Saboo & Tinker rolled out of there very satisfied without the burning tail pipe & stomach rumble that only some could imagine.We didn't even get pressured to sign up for a phone plan! We will be back for sure.

The food is marvelous!! I went there last weekend with my family, there were 6 of us and we had no reservation. We were very promptly seated even though the restaurant was very busy. Very attentive service and polite staff. We ordered a number of dishes and rice and naan breads, and the waitress very kindly advised us that we could share the rice instead of having a serve each since the portions were quite generous. We loved the cocktails, the presentation, service, food, and atmosphere . Felt like we were in india. :) way to go chutneys!! We will come again definitely. Clean and neat appearance of staff, friendly and helpful, it did improve my mood after a tired day.

Best in rockingham. My husband and i goes to this place a lot...it has a good combination of above average customer service and reasonably priced meals...my favourite would probably be the mango lasi and butter chicken because i love sweet dishes...and the lasi helps alot in cooling us down after their spicy rogan josh and vindaloo...they also have this chili soup which is surprisingly not as spicy as you would expect but it's awesomeeeeee...i forgot the name but you should try it when you go there...
my husband likes the goat curry which we had the last time we went there which was a month ago...i didn't like the dish with the dumpling it just tasted weird...you should also go for the bahji (deep fried onion balls) and the raita (cucumber with youghurt)
we liked to go for the banquet which was really a good price for the amount of food we got if you want to try a bit of everything...
the staff is very friendly and accommodating...you just have to get used to the bollywood style music that plays over and over again but i guess it adds up to the ambience of the place...
btw if you also want to try another dessert try the gulab jamun...perfect for those who have a sweet tooth...

Pleased. Although the prices are high, the food was pretty good. I was pleasantly full after the meal. I had the chicken with Spinach, highly recommended! Recommended for good Indian cuisine.

Mediocre. Ate here for the first time recently and enjoyed most of the meal. Service was great even though the place was really busy when we arrived. Nice decor, friendly staff and and relaxed feel.
Let downs were the dirty table with grains of rice stuck to the sides and the tough extremely salty Roghan Josh!. Our local Indian takeaway does better. Don't think we will return as it's a a long drive and just not worth it. There are better Indian eateries around although maybe not in Rockingham?

Only perfect!.. Chutney Mary's does what most of the other restaurants in other suburbs simply does not do- they deliver!. Deliver on professionalism, taste, freshness, size of portions, atmosphere, cleanliness and fair price. You just KNOW the meal you order has been created for you; as others have said, each dish tastes totally different. Try their cheese CHILLI naan bread- a specialty they are trying...and like everything else they put their hands to-it works. We travel from Erskine often and have NEVER been let down. Congratulations on getting it right guys!.
What a wondeful evening.... My Partner and i went to CM's for the first time last week, and the restraunt was fairly quiet (only about 8 tables taken). We had there mixed entree plater, which was absolutley lovely..and the portion sizes were enough to feed four!! I had the chicken with Spinach for the main, and my partner went for Prawn Masala, both were spectacular. Dinner was accompanied by a many of their wonderful cocktails..over all the food was amazing, the service was impecable and the price was very fare considering the great quality of the food. We will definatley be returning.

Nice place. Went on a Saturday night, attentive service, maybe overly keen. We were asked if we were ready to 3 times within 10 mins by 3 different waiters.
Food was flavoursome; we had a group of people so I was able to taste 5+ dishes. All tasted different, not the same base with different meats in them.
As I am not from Rockingham, I can say it was worth the trip to see friends and have a meal.
Would recommend for an Indian feed and a reasonable price and nice surroundings.
Great for lunch. I keep coming back to Chutney Mary's the service is great, nice atmosphere and friendly staff. The lunchtime non vegetarian banquet is great value for two people and very tasty every time. I can't wait to try their goat curry next.
Chutney Marys Rockingham. Absolutely devine, I am so glad there is a quality indian restaurant in Rocky. We have ordered takeaway and dined in for lunch a few times and you can taste the quality ingredients in every dish butter chicken and lamb korma always my favourite 3 1/2 stars

Fantastic Restaurant. Last weekend a few work associates and myself visited chutney marys Rockingham for the first time after being recommended the restaurant from a good friend. I am extremely critical of Indian food after living in London and visiting and dining at some of the best Indian restaurants worldwide. The restaurant took my breath away with the beautiful pictures and well laid out setting. The food was just as incredible. We had a large range of dishes as we wanted to experience all the restaurant had to offer. it was one of the most authentic indian dining experiences all of us have had. genuinely fresh food and great service made for a 10/10 night. Highly recommend CHUTNEY MARYS ROCKINGHAM. Cant wait to get back for more.
WORK DINNER. We came to this restuarant Tuesday Night 23rd Feb for a work dinner, we couldn't fault the evening at all. The food, service, atmoshpere and staff were fantastic. For alot of us it was our first time and we will definately recommend this wonderful restuarant and be back very soon. We are all aware what the hospitality industry is about as we are from The Merchant in Rockingham. Thanks heaps
Chutney Mary’s is decorated beautifully; the restaurant is full of space but is warm and inviting. We were able to choose our seats and ordered an entrée, two mains and breads to share and sat and enjoyed a glass of wine as we waited for our food. The food arrived at the perfect time, we didn’t feel rushed and everything was beautiful and fresh...
