Food surprisingly good, not too salty. Will try to go back with bigger party. Only downside is the price but definitely a five stars.
Been going to this pub for years and always loved the food and staff have always done a good job. Went tonight with the wife. Ordered fish and chips. We use to love the seafood platter there! Unfortunately this Monday the 13th of June, we were really disappointed by the new menu and will never go back again! Shame, as we really enjoyed the atmosphere and the food was delicious.
Food is less than average quality, pork scratchings on the menu look like hot strips fresh cooked, but they’re actually ragged strips cold & kept in a mason jar behind the bar. Great place for drinks and atmosphere but the food is very poor,which is a shame because it used to be so good, the menu is new and we thought yes at last maybe a new cook but no food still comes out frozen or over microwaved.
A group of us went there and tried to order dinner. They advised us that you could no longer order meals over the bar like they do in normal pubs. You have to do it at your table with a QR code. I've no idea why as the QR code to log into venues has been abolished along with the lockdown. We walked
