Review Eight On The Beach - Rockingham

Nice place, nice view, but the food is not very good. Long wait for unsalted and undercooked food.

Super friendly staff and well situated spot for food. I got the fish and chips as I had a hankering for them, but it definitely didn't hit the spot I wanted it to. For a $20 dish it was just okay. I wouldn't tell anyone to get fish and chips there especially with some good places nearby. No tartare sauce either which is a fish and chips essential. Thai beef salad was lacking coriander which is generally a core component of the dish. None available to add. Pasta was good. This was not my dish. I was confused about one thing: Onion rings = $4 Caramelized onions = $5 Prawns = $6 Seems a bit steep for some onions. Just my observation.

Appalling and below sub-standard. Ordered pot of tea for for 2, 15 minutes later lukewarm tea for 1 and 1 coffee cup arrived. Asked for original order, given. another coffee cup, no extra tea or milk. Guy serving was wiping his nose on the back of his hand. Took another 40 minutes for 2 meals to arrive. 1 piece each of slimy grey fish the length of a teaspoon and half the width. Exactly 6 chips on each plate. 2 small pieces of chargrilled garlic bread. Plus some green stuff (?). After losing 2 collective hours of our lives we walked out. Didn’t eat anything, and didn’t pay. Feedback to person behind counter was a total waste of time. Skeleton on counter probably one of their customers who died waiting for food. The place wasn’t even busy, which made it even more reprehensible. How this place stays open beggars belief. Definitely won’t go back, and do NOT recommend. There should be minus-review-stars

A great favorite of ours for a very tasty meal at a fair price. Very friendly and helpful staff always willing to serve your meal just how you like it. A really relaxing venue with great atmosphere, great views and always consistent quality food.

Ate lunch here again today for the 100th time. Always great service and fabulous food. We had fish and chips, garlic bread and a chicken parmy. Although they were very busy food still came out within 20 minutes and drinks very prompt. Best lunch on the strip

This is our regular haunt. Love the food and drink, a lot of the food is homemade which makes a nice change. Extremely friendly staff, can't fault this establishment.

Absolutely sensational food, we had the Thai beef salad, Surfs Up and Chefs Seafood Pie, service was lovely, an all round fantastic experience.

Crowded! Its a convenient place to have lunch with friends and a stunning view of the ocean. The table service was pleasant and friendly, but sadly unatentive, the table became more cluttered as more drinks were ordered. The food was presented very nicely and tasted blandly average with fresh but tough skinned salad. Would I recommend this restaurant to family and friends? I would go back myself, but wouldn't recommend the food to family or friends.
