Review Bellissimo Ristorante Pizzeria - Rockingham

We recently had dinner with my parents here. Garlic Bread and the Calamari for entree was great - salad dressing was brilliant. Mains of Chicken Parmigiana, Veal Parmagiana, Spaghetti Carbonara and Penne with chicken, bacon & asparagus were sadly all very average. No-one finished their meal OR took it home with them. I don't think we will attend again although the service was quite good and the staff were very attentive.

I have eaten here 2 times over the last 2 years, the first time about this time last year and the whole family had sat down we ordered our drinks and they had no beer so my sons said " its BYO is t OK if we will over the bottleshop and buy a 6 pack - the waitress said yeah " they returned and were promptly told you can't bring that in here its BYO for wine only.. :( We had already ordered garlic bread and bruschetta so we thought what the hell.. the bread arrived and we started to unwrap our cutlery to get our serviettes and had cockroaches running out of the wrapped serviettes across the table over the bread. When I asked for the owner/manager she wouldn't come over to the table so I went to the counter and still she wouldn't speak with me I told the waitress we were leaving and she promptly presented me with a bill for our meal including the mains as they were already in the works.. I informed the waitress to please tell the owner /manager that I would not be paying the bill and I would be reporting her to the health department. At this point the owner/manager decided she would come out of hiding and told me " that I had to pay the bill cause it wasn't her fault that cockroaches were present in the napkins. " I asked her how it wasn't her fault she said they get in and after the cutlery is wrapped and how is she to know.. I explained I have managed restaurants from 5 star to bistro for 30 years and never have I had cockroaches run out serviettes and run across a table. She then blamed the heat and if I didn't pay she would call the cops .. I said go ahead and walked out. Then last night my friend and our daughters and I decided to give them a go as I had heard they had changed hands. My friends daughter ordered Veal Parmigiano was off she had her second bite and nearly threw up. We informed the waitress who took it away and got another. When we went to pay we were informed that shock horror again it wasn't the restaurants fault because all the meals are prepared elsewhere and the delivered to them they then heat the meals up so it cant be their fault..lol but they will take $5.00 off the bill I said to my g/f that they should have wiped that meal altogether. the other 3 meals were not worth the $30.00 PER MEAL they charged and after their remark re:food prep I can understand why they looked dried out and needed to be swimming in sauce.
