We love this cafe. Great Campos coffee, friendly staff and great food. We love the new fitout. The egg and bacon roll is great!! This cafe is lovely

Service hands down ....
One of the most pleasant service around, coffee/latte should match the service. Campos coffee beans and La Marzocco combo, very milky/baby-chino and not enough character. JT - 10/7/2017.
There are many things I may potentially fight you over. Whether or not you are being an avocado-head for using the word 'Google' as a verb. Whether it was more fun having Tony Abbott as Prime Minister, simply because you could say the country was lead by a tiny abbot. We can fight on whether you think the phrase "majority scientific consensus" is up for debate, or whether a fast-food restaurant's charity for kids with terminal cancer is an oxymoron.
There is one thing alone that I feel today I can fight you on, and you will definitely lose. It is with glowing, righteous and moral indignation on my side, as well as the power of the ancient Mesopotamian god of deep frying, Azzanize Batta, I can proclaim to you from the top of the mountain on which I live, that you have as much chance of winning this fight as a nun in a cave of polar bears.
Excuse me for just a moment as I step outside my study on this mountain-top and proclaim it. If you are facing in the direction of the mountain right now, that cry you hear is me.
Okay, right. Done that.
So the challenge has been laid. What is the challenge I hear you ask? Well, you did - but the main who is watching you through the windows only whispered it. Read on, intrepid adventurer!
This lovely little cafe sells the best chips this side of my personal favourite chippy on Ynys Mon in North Wales...or Anglesey if you're English. I mean it. The BEST chips.
I was served them bedside a lovely beef burger, snuggled into a brioche roll with a threesome of sweet beetroot, a Swedish blonde cheese and a saucy redhead - a home-made tomato relish.
Really, the burger was enough to sing praises for. I did exactly that. I got up on the table and composed a symphonic ode on the spot. Unfortunately, people did not take well to the tuba parts and threw things at me until I stopped.
But that was the burger, yeah, that I was singing about. Having done that, I had no higher pinnacle to climb to, to give the chips the position they deserve. Really; seriously – they were THAT good.
What, should I start worshipping them as a god? I mean, I seriously entertained the notion as I was nibbling on their perfectly golden, crispy outer bodies and sinking through into the fluffy, white and steaming interior…like being on a dragon’s back and zooming up into the clouds, only to dive off and fall into that cotton-wool kingdom to discover….blimey! It really IS cotton wool.
So. I don’t expect you will believe me. I don’t expect you to. The proof is in the pudding. But um….I am changing that expression now. The validation’s in the vegetable! And the jury is sitting at Jillian’s!
Come! Sit down. Grab a beer to go with the batter and natter on as you feast your face on fine fried bars of captured sunlight! EAT THE BLOODY CHIPS THERE! Sit and slaver and sing your heart out. Dress in sack-cloth and stand with your gruel-bowl in front of Harry Secombe and say, “Please sir, may I have SOME CHIPS!”
If you say you are going to get chips, my reply from now on will be –
“MAKE MINE A JILLIAN’S”
Arrived late, unfortunately the kitchen had closed but the home made pies were the best had in years! Highly recommend the Thai green chicken pie!
Amazing chicken burger with beer battered chips! Definitely recommend this gem! Service was lovely and relaxed. We will be moving near the area soon so we are glad to have discovered this place. Prices aren't too ridiculous which is nice.
Coffee is pretty decent. I can imagine that it's quality isn't very consistent, though. Food menu seems okay, keen to try the burgers after reading some of the other reviews.
"Steak night"
Chef nailed my medium rare scotch fillet with mushroom sauce. Arguably the best in the diamond valley. Staff were great, Live music offered a perfect Friday night vibe.
Will be back
Very chilled out atmosphere. Great place to sit and drink coffee for hours on end or pop in for a quick meal. Also a live music venue on occasions so it's quite a versatile place. Well worth a visit.
Called in for a beer with Mrs on way home 630 Friday night. Wife had a champagne or 2, thought we would have a bite and it was beautiful!
We stayed for a few more drinks once the live music started.
The young lady playing guitar and singing was most impressive.
The staff were very friendly young ladies and the patrons were a really good mix of young and middle age.
I think I have found a watering hole close to home!!
Thank you Jillians will see you next time.
Burgers at these small cafes can be a bit of a hit and a miss but happy to report the burger was a MASSIVE hit. Great burger! Well Done!!!!!
A nice, small cafe perfect for a relaxed afternoon lunch. Friendly, kind staff with an easygoing and relaxed feeling throughout. Food is absolutely delicious and reasonably priced. Great coffee and service.
I cant believe on ANZAC day a place would be so under staffed. Don't know how or why a chef should have to cook, waiter and make coffees. He still served top notch food. It was nice of everyone to chip in and help the boys by taking there dirty dishes to the chef. Whoever the owner is you need more qualified chefs (one person can't do this by themselves) and more lovely waiters, like the two boys on this morning.

I think I have found my new breakfast spot. New chef and delicious triple choc muffins. Two thumbs up.
OMG! The best hamburger I have had in years, and the lady at the next table is raving about how good the soup is.
I stumbled over this non discript looking cafe, while visiting a nearby client. What a find! It's just a normal suburban cafe, but is kicking way above its weight. Food is great and top value. I'll be back next time I'm near by. May even drive over just for the burger again
Not for everyone but has its charm.. I can understand the negative and positive reviews of this cafe. Jillian's has a particular style that some of us may dislike and some may love. For me the place and staff are laid back and causal. For others this may be seen as unprofessional or sloppy. It's all in how you take it. Food and coffee, for the most part, are pretty good, and prices are fair. If you are looking for a comfortable and relaxed place to eat and your attitude is in the same style then I recommend Jilians.
Great coffee and food. I have been going here for years. The coffee is the best in the area and the food quality is excellent. The staff get to know their clientele and seem to know most of them by name and what they like to drink. They also have free WiFi and plenty of papers/
Just like home. Jillian's is our favorite place to go where we sit for hours in the warm, friendly atmosphere. Great place to take friends with children and the awesome staff look after you. Big thumbs up
Sweet reads. Coffee has improved here recently (yay) and the breakfasts are reliably good. One big plus for me is that jillian's actually has several copies of the papers each day, so forty customers aren't fighting over the single herald sun available. Hurrah!
Cheerful little cafe, food was better than I thought, although coffee was pretty average in my opinion, flat white was a bit watery
Always a friendly welcome. Service great nothing is ever too much trouble. Coffee great and breakfast just wonderful. Great options. A lovely relaxed and comfortable environment which makes you want to go back again with great service and friend staff. Thank you, keep up the great work! will be back very soon!
Great coffee. I've only ever come here for coffee, but it's always top notch. Staff are super friendly too.
I enjoyed it. It had a comfortable and friendly atmosphere. The coffee was good enough for me to want to go back.
A bit of a surprise. Proves the old line 'dont judge a book ...'
The order took a while to come, but the food was great and staff service really good
Not a coffee fan, so can't comment about that apart from the number that seemed to be heading out the door which was a lot. The food was very nice, a few good looking options also on the menu that I wouldn't mind trying. Lack of kids options made it an expensive breakfast with two little ones though. Staff were very accommodating with us, and our allergies and friendly as well, even with the kids being a bit of a handful without anywhere to play.
Absolutely lovely/highly professional staff, and very nice food. My young boy particularly enjoyed his 'Early-Easter chicken nuggets and chips', not to mention the lively/friendly attention/engagement he received from the staff. Great service with a smile, in a really nice place (very clean, roomy, well-run, served rapidly, etc.; everything you could want!). Certainly nothing I could fault whatsoever; hence the 5 stars! Thanks guys, 'we shall return'...
Highly recommended.
Great night! Terrific ambiance for Ladies Night- free champers on arrival, great finger food & to top it off we won a lovely bottle of wine in the door prize! Most unexpected ending for a walk in the local park!
Trevor & Alex did a wonderful job & made everyone welcome, as did all the friendly staff. A little hot spot in Rosanna!!! And gr8 coffee during the day!🎈💃🕺
I have been here a couple of times before this mornings breakfast. The difference is night and day. Omelette was as good as I've ever had and the service was excellent. Thoroughly enjoyable start to my day.
See you again for breakfast. Thank you.
Meets differing needs. Good for gluten free afternoon tea.
Great coffee, food and service. I recommend this cafe to all my friends. The recent interior upgrade is very warm and comfortable. The staff make each visit wonderful as well.
Delicious breakfast, quick and friendly service! Really enjoyed our meal at Jillians!
