Review Pandora's Restaurant - Rouse Hill

We took a guest for dinner on Sunday night and we were terribly disappointed. Service was confusing and the food was definitely not the standard we expected (per Google ratings). If it was just one element of the dining experience that was missing, it could be overlooked but it started accumulate to the point where we would definitely not return to Pandora.

Had my sisters 30th dinner celebrations here at it was fabulous! Food was wonderful the setting was great and we had our own lil space. Service was good on the night and Tracey and her team adjusted the menu to what we wanted. Thanks for that. All our guests had a great night and enjoyed the food. Will definitely visit again.

Visited spur of the moment Saturday night and despite being extremely busy with 2 functions they found us a table. The food was good but the highlight was the service, the staff were all so busy but were smiling, friendly and very helpful!! They really made the night great, will definitely be back!

These stars all go to the kitchen. Food was quite good, but the restaurant had some issues. Our table was uncomfortable, the service was friendly but stretched across too many tables, and they made a mistake at the checkout, falsely claiming we had an extra party at our table and hadn't paid for two people's drinks. I put it down to poor management, but I can see how some people's experience may be much better.

We were regular customers until tonight. Service was no where to be seen, however the staff had no issue serving other staff who were eating at tables. Found it a bit off when we were charged an extra $14 to have fish grilled instead of battered which means fish is bought pre done. Was a lot better before but seems either a change of management or owners. Shame really

The restaurant is managed extremely poorly. We had a function booked for a 70th birthday party four weeks prior to the date. Invitations were sent out, a menu selected and numbers confirmed. However four days before the event the restaurant manager asked a casual staff memeber to call and cancel our booking due to renovations. No apology was offered and no empathy for the situation we have been placed in. The manager was either too busy or gutless to take responsibility for the situation we are now facing. Do not attempt to hold a function at this venue. I won't be eating in the resteraunt again and either will my family and friends. Piss poor effort Pandoras

Dinner at Pandora's is definitely recommended - meals are large, and the menu is sufficiently varied to give everyone an option, and the quality is great. However I wouldn't say the same for lunch, as the quality out of the kitchen can often be quite a bit lower. Equally, I have been disappointed for some special event nights e.g. Valentines, when every restaurants standards seem to fall... They do open for breakfast on some days, but I have yet to try that session.

We chose to go out for dinner on a whim and a google search showed their current $15 mains offer. So we chose the Moroccan chicken, penne amatriciana, the chicken burger and the chicken schnitzel. Our 7 year old went with the Caesar salad. Morrocan chicken was a chicken breaston a bed of roast pumpkin, green beans, cous cous and rocket. Chicken was tad dry but this was the best plated $15 dish I have laid eyes on. My 11 year old smashed the penne, drinking water and panting to the nice burn of the chilli. A tasty and simple pasta dish. The chicken burger was deconstructed and my 10 yo just ate the chicken (a tad dry and lacking in flavour). The chicken schnitzel.... well you can’t go wrong with a chicken schnitzel; it comes with a big salad and chips. It is served with something that is more jus than gravy, but a crumbed schnitzel, IMHO should be paired with a humble thick gravy rather than a more complex jus. My 7 yo thoroughly enjoyed the Caesar salad; which comes with a poached not boiled egg. Nothing special but and interesting variation. As it was only $15 for all the mains (except the Caesar, that was $18), we decided to splurge on dessert, even though it was just a Tuesday night. Crime brûlée, is served with a slice of straw berry and almond biscotti. The brûlée itself is finished off with a layer of toffee (freshly blowtorched by the waiter). We rated this dessert quite highly. It was absolutely delicious. Each of the kids had sticky date pudding. The butterscotch sauce tasted home made, you could taste the rich butter through the sweetness. I’m only guessing but it tastes exactly like the butterscotch I make at home to pour over my air popped popcorn. In fact each of the kids absolutely smashed the pudding. I’ll definitely be taking the family back to try the main menu! With a free kids meal with every adult meal, it should be a great value. I’m reading some other reviews in which customers note their disappointment that the venue did not meet the expectations of a fine dining restaurant. It is not fine dining, I think it’s important to clarify that. However it is quite good as something that is a like a good restaurant at a pub. No issues with service tonight either...they did forget to bring my coffee at dessert time, but it was proactively raised at bill time with an apology.
