One of my favourite restaurants in Sydney - and I’m not a vegetarian. You’ll have to go a long way to find a better curry (meat or veg) than Harvest’s veg curry. Could be a lot to do with the marvellous ambience - not just in the dining room but also emanating from the kitchen. Their cooking is clearly a labour of love.
We have been regulars here for over 10 years so that should speak for itself! Food is delicious and the staff are the best. There is a reason they have been there for so long! Cauliflower castle and Aubergine tower are stand outs, and leave room for the sticky date, you won’t be disappointed.
This place has been around a long time and since both my wife and I have loads of vegetarian food, decided to check it out. Loved every bit of what’s on offer here.
You can have a two or three course set menu or a la Carte. Unpretentious, reasonably priced and excellent flavors. I had the vegetable curry as main and sticky toffee pudding for dessert. The pudding is probably the best I have had in Sydeny ever, gingery, moist and spongy, just divine. My veg curry was also delicious, hearty and a bit spicy.
Great service and good value for money. Absolutely will come here again for a lovely meal with friends. Located on a quiet street in Balmain it is a must try.
We have been coming here for what must be 20 years. We're not vegetarian but without fail always enjoy our meals here. There is plenty of choice, including a few specials and we have now tried most dishes on the menu. It's hard to pick favourites but always love the cheese soufflé, the mushroom ravioli, the zucchini flowers and brussel sprouts when in season, the curry and the cauliflower castle. The sticky date pudding in the cooler months is delicious ('though I've been known to enjoy it any time of year!). Service from Michael in the front is always great. It can get a bit noisy when full - particularly if there is a few bigger groups. Three courses goes down very well here and they are licensed but accept BYO wine. Well priced and a lovely dining experience for vegetarians and carnivores alike!
We organised a private cooking class with Adam (6 pax) and WOW! It was so wonderful.
The food was fantastic, the tuition on cooking was amazing but Adam was also really amazing to hang out with for 4 hours. We all learnt lots and got to eat some really yum food!!
What a wonderful find Harvest Vegetarian Restaurant was! To start with they have a delightfully fun vegetarian/vegan menu. All the dishes were delicious and elegantly presented, the atmosphere was relaxed and homely and Adam and his staff were friendly and engaged. Not to mention the prices were wonderfully affordable for this calibre of cuisine. We'll definitely be coming back!
Brilliant place for anyone looking for a cosy time away from the hustle and bustle of the city. It’s a really compact restaurant that really encourages meaningful conversations and an intimate dining affair. Great start for those looking to transition into vegetarianism and appreciate simple but delicious food.
What a great spot. The Goats cheese soufflé was perfect. The freshly made pasta was packed with flavour and generous servings. If you are a vegetarian looking for a place to take your carnivore friends, this is the place to take them. Bookings recommended.
