Review The Coffee Club - Runaway Bay

The meal is lovely and quite a big serve for me . I love that special coffee.. We enjoyed it. We will definitely go back here. Service is also good.

I just realised why this place is nearly empty. Must be the worst Coffee Club I have been to. Prices on large displays above counter are below what they are chaging. Odered a camembert, chicken and bacon flatgrill based on price of $14.90. After sitting down noticed I was charged $15.90. Checked with staff who said the price only just changed and owner hadn't taked signs down. I checked the written menu which had $15.90 and date said from November. How many people have been ripped off. Will be reporting to QLD Office of fair trading.

Size of meal has gotten smaller yet price is the same. Hardly any filling. And it had hair all in it.

Worst breakfast I have ever received. Poached eggs so raw they could not stay on the fork after I had asked for them over Medium. The bacon was raw. Tomato not cooked and cold. Sausages were like leather. The milk was burnt in my Mocha. My daughters meal arrived 15 minutes before mine, she had finished before I received my own meal leaving her bored and restless whilst I attempted to eat. I did not get a chance to get my bacon or eggs redone as no one checked on the table. As I left I let the young lady who served me politely know that meal was horrible and my plate was still full to which she replied, i’m very sorry have a nice day. I assume there was not much she could do as she was lovely and I presume if she was allowed to refund me she would have. I am a restaurant manager myself and this service was just completely unacceptable I could understand a mishap here or there but everything was bad in this case. $50 down the drain. Very disappointed.

The food was great but the service today was abrupt and disappointing. The lady with the blue hair was rude, and needs to work on her people skills if she is going to continue working in hospitality. Stop talking down to your customers and maybe smile once in a while. Coffee club runaway bay just lost loyal customers.

Terrible service... Went into Runaway Bay Coffee Club about an hour and a half before closing. Saw some cheesecakes in the display cabinet and asked what flavour they were. Staff member told me they're butterscotch but can't sell me one because they were frozen. I said I wanted to takeaway one for later and still denied the sale. Don't even know why you are displaying frozen cakes that aren't for sale...

Our visit to coffee club runaway bay was absolutely terrible. The manager on duty served the people behind us first even though we were standing right in front of the register just because they were regulars. Then the chef had to come out two seperate times to tell us they didn’t have certain items on the menu. This should have been communicated to the front so they could avoid selling these items and avoid disappointment from the customers behalf. Never visit this coffee club as it is way below the coffee club standard. Poor service would not recommend.

I used to love going to Coffee Club Runaway Bay but since there has been new people serving or they are new owners the last couple weeks I'm slowly changing my mind. It is very annoying having a child come up to me wanting to take my dishes when I haven't even finished and more than once in the same sitting or her mother asking if everything is ok! I go to relax and don't need to be interrupted while I'm eating or having a coffee. Not impressed.
