Delicious food, I recommend the ribs, beef and pork were both great. Mediterranean salad were also tasty, with a good dressing sauce. The service was exceptional as always. When you think of steak and ribs, I always think of hurricane. The service is excellent, the food was awesome and interesting (Tommy hawk steak) it was HUGE! Expect to spend a lot, it's not someplace you go everyday. But I think it's an excellent restaurant, would recommend.
Haven’t been here in quite a while. Had the pork ribs and I immediately questioned why did I not come back earlier?!? Juicy, succulent and flavorsome ribs. Delicious!
Best ribs! Had the beef, lamb and the pork - would say the beef is my favourite! All falling off the bone and juicy and saucy. Best part of it is the bibs and finger licking goodness. Garlic mushrooms and salads were a bit disappointing though. Definitely go for the classics and not sure if I will get their salads next time.
Vegetarian meals are probably the least ordered items at Hurricane's and I wasn't expecting much when I ordered the Veggie Burger but to my surprise it was delicious! It had a grilled Portobello mushroom, melted cheese, avocado, tomato, lettuce and 1000 island dressing in a brioche bun. I highly recommend it and I would order it again.
Have had dinner here a fair few times. Never disappoints! We ordered the garlic mushrooms 🍄 for entree and the blue cheese 🧀 salad. The garlic mushrooms 🍄 were amazing! The salad 🥗 could do with some tweaks as the blue cheese was way too overpowering. We ordered beef 🥩 ribs and pork ribs. They were divine! They could have used a little less basting sauce as it was a little too sweet, but delicious nonetheless. My friend has the creme brûlée and he said it was 10/10! Will go back for sure when I need my rib fix! 😋

You cant go past their pork ribs, with that special basting sauce (tip: ask for an extra side of it😉) And everything else I’ve tried is amazing too - their steak, burgers, chips and salads, especially their chicken salad omg I promise you the chicken is so succulent it will literally falls apart and melt in your mouth. Always walk out of here rolling but sooo satisfied. Whoever hasn’t been here, I highly recommend it!, you won’t go back!!

I've been here twice at the insistence of the people I was meeting here for dinner. It's not a place I'd pick because it's a little boring but holy shit, the ribs are good. I had the beef ribs the first time and the pork ribs the second time and both were cooked perfectly, with tender, flavorful almost-falling-off-the-bone tenderness. The drinks were pretty good too. I ordered a Tom Collins (which the bartender had to look up) and it was made perfectly. It has a bit of a chain-restaurant feel to it, which really puts me off, but other than that, it's a solid restaurant.
Very delicious and juicy steaks and ribs. The service was very quick and the staff were very attentive. The staff kept asking us if the food was good and I personally like how the staff care for their customers. I rate the food as 4.5/5 ribs.
Always a reliable place to get a good chomp on pork ribs! Prices are a bit on the high side for our budget, but still ok for occasions, specially when you're craving for pork ribs.
Hurricanes has one of the best pork ribs in the area. They have great customer service and a great vibe. I go there occasionally and order the ribs, salt and pepper calamari and the octopus salad. They have really good dishes but it does get a bit pricey. If you’re not too concerned about price and would like to have quality food then I’d recommend here.
lamb ribs is nice, and the seafood platter is gorgeous! The mushroom is not as expected, so so. A bit cold sitting outside. Next time will book in advance. Generally good!

I've come here quite often over time, but I've never ventured away from ordering their ribs. Even when I visit their other venues, I've never explored the menu, although I want to, but I want ribs more. I tell myself I'm being adventurous by ordering their different types of ribs.
Tonight, I tried not to go overboard, so I only ordered a full rack of pork ribs with baked potato, mussels in creamy sauce with extra bread, and a Coke. The food took a little long to arrive, but I find that's always the case here at this particular venue.
The ribs were just as I remember, just like every other time I've been here, beautifully tender and deliciously flavorful. I used my hands for the first time ever tonight too, as I couldn't be bothered with eating nicely, and the sauce was quite sticky, so I'm not sure I'll do it again. The baked potato was hot and soft inside, and paired with the sour cream, it was just so good, and a beautiful way to help break the strong sticky flavors of the ribs.
The mussels in creamy sauce had less sauce in it this time, but it was still quite delicious, although I feel the quality of their bread has dipped a bit. Before, their bread had that beautiful bakery taste, it was soft and fluffy, and great for soaking the sauce, but tonight, it was a little dry and empty, and a bit hard, which made it a little difficult to use it to soak the sauce. The mussels themselves tasted fresh, tender, and flavorful, as usual.
Service here is average, it's not always the fastest, and sometimes it can be a little hard to get the waitstaffs' attention. Also, I think because they're trying to be on top of the clearing of tables, they kept trying to take away my mussels when I hadn't yet finished. I paid $75 for my meal for two, but we did hold back on ordering like we usually would have, as my friend ate some food beforehand already.
TIP: food comes out rather slowly here, so request for it to come all together if you're hungry, so you won't have to wait really long for starters, and then wait even longer for your mains, instead, it's just one wait, and all your food arrives together for you to enjoy (the longest I waited for my food here was close to an hour for my mains).

The smell of beef ribs arrived much before the meal, but upon arrival they were nothing short of spectacular; piping hot, smothered in delicious basting sauce, beef so tender it couldn't part with the bone fast enough!

Was craving some beef one night so we headed to Top Ryde for steak at Hurricanes. Parking is very convenient (2 hours free at the shopping centre). I had the Wagyu sirloin steak MBS7+ served with roasted garlic potato and broccolini. It was juicy and tender, love it! There is quite a wait if you don't have a booking on the weekend so make sure you book before you go!
Big ass ribs! The best pork ribs I've ever tried. The succulent BBQ sauce and delicious side of chips 🤤 ! Definitely worth the high price. We ordered 6 full pork racks of ribs (at $52 per full rack 🤧). I could only finish half the rack as the portion was too big for me lol (got it as takeaway). Also, I had a chocolate shake ($7), which was thick and satisfying.
I'll aways come back here at least twice a year. 🐷

The place and ambiance was quite fancy, option to be seated in or outdoors.
The food itself was a little bit slow, noting that the place was less than half full.
Ordered the 650g t-bone and the rib eye, medium well. Every bite tasted like heaven on a fork, along with the sublime mushroom sauce and some crispy chips.
Value wise, the place is not cheap, but kind of worth it. But my concern is regarding the whole experience. Apart from the food, nothing was really special or premium.
All in all, great place to enjoy some premium meat.
Will definitely be going again.

Enjoyed Hurricanes at Bondi but just not travelling all the way there, so glad there's one in the suburbs! Haven't been here in awhile but noticed the menu is considerably smaller than before!! Guess they are only really famous for their ribs anyway! Their ribs are on the high price side, but they are delicious & well portioned for a full rack, cooked really well & lovely flavored so it's worth paying for! This is a must place to dine at if you love ribs!
Had a nice experience here on a Sunday night. The pork ribs were great, the pear salad was good, but was a little dissatisfied with the grilled calamari and rice (definitely lacking something in terms of wow factor or flavour there). The service was average. Pork ribs definitely better than the beef ribs!
I've visited this place over 5 years and I always had a great experience. I love pork rib and prawn dish here. Love this place so much. Don't forget to book if you want to visit on weekends night.

Hurricane's is not a spectacular steak joint. It's usually a generic place I go to when I'm having a spur of the moment steak craving. It has a very casual vibe and good to go with any group whether it's with friends, family or as a couple.
The servings are quite generous here, even if you don't get the combos. The steaks are always cooked the way I like.
I went there for my husband's birthday dinner and we were very satisfied. First of all, the food was amazing, we had half rack pork ribs and 750gr steak and both were delicious. The staffs were very friendly and it was an awesome dining experience. Definitely would recommend this place.
Excellent......I had the Scotch fillet with sweet potato chips for the second time in a month and was just as good as the first time. The best scotch fillet I've had. Back for the same next time
I dine here fairly often. They recently changed the menu so they have some new dishes. The steak and ribs are really good but fairly expensive. I usually find that the entrées are big enough for me.
We came here on a Saturday night around 7pm for dinner for 2. We had to wait about 20mins which wasn't too bad - they were very busy. We ordered the seafood salad, combo pork and beef ribs and two mocktails (a mango one and a berry one).
I've eaten Hurricanes multiple times and I love love love their ribs. The sauce is yummy and the meat is tender, it falls off the bone easily. I just wish it wasn't as pricey! It was my first time trying the seafood salad and I wasn't disappointed - yummo! I was a bit disappointed with the mocktails though. It didn't taste bad, but I wouldn't describe it as yum either - the berry one especially... it was too syrupy.
About the atmosphere, it was noisy but a buzzing kind. Staff were nice too. There is indoor and outdoor seating. We spent ~$110 for two which is a lil pricey but I'm willing to splurge on their ribs :) I would revisit definitely.
Pork ribs were quite dry but the lamb ribs were oh-so-succulent! They've done very well on their lamb ribs. The lamb as part of the lamb salad was also a disappointment, tasted very bland? Not sure how to describe it but go for the ribs! We also ordered grilled calamari which was quite pleasant to taste.
They've mistaken our order and it was a little irritating as it held us back but with group bookings that may be expected on busy evenings unfortunately.

We ate here on Sat night. Restaurant was very busy. Our waitress tended to us quickly but there were several problems when our order arrived. 3 of the 6 mains came out wrong. When 2 over cooked ribeye steaks were returned to the kitchen the manager came out immediately to apologize. We were given a complimentary drink & he gave us updates when the food would arrive. He brought the new dishes to the table and made sure everything else was ok. Really great customer service from him that saved the night. Could not fault the food either - it was delicious. Will definitely go again
This place is great for ribs and burgers. The menu is diverse and the customer service is always attentive. The place is massive so it's great for big groups and celebrations. I highly recommend ordering the Rib and Steak combo - its great value and you will definitely feel the meat coma afterwards.
Hurricanes is very popular in Top Ryde and known for their ribs. There are several tables inside quite a big venue and also more tables outside. Even with all the tables, there is often a big line outside of Hurricanes so you may have to wait. . On this occasion; they had a special pulled pork burger as a special and the waitress recommended the burger. I decided to order the pork burger and some ribs.
As for many others (probably half ot Sydney) this is my favorite pork ribs place.. but the salads does not disappoint either... combined with a good service and a nice atmosphere simply a winner.

The Hurricanes here is always packed... especially on the weekends. Booking is always the best way to go... but even then I've arrived many times and my table is not ready.. with the worse case being I waited around 20 minutes for my table. I personally just come here for the ribs as most things on the menu are just rather average in my opinion. Their burgers are over priced and not very good. I love their pork ribs and sour cream with their chips. They do it very good and the serving sizes are very generous in my opinion. The pricing can seem a bit high but most dishes are able to be shared amongst two. The steak is also quite average as well. I love that they offer bibs... and highly suggest that you use it to prevent your clothes from getting dirty. Most of the time the service here is very quick and efficient and friendly despite them having so many customers. I dont like the new thing of the credit card machine asking for a tip while the staff is standing right next to you. Other than that its alway a great place to go as a group as they're more than happy to cater without forcing you to a set menu.

Truth be told, writing about this fantastic restaurant is difficult as the memories are enticing me to stop what I am doing and run down to what I would like to call, heaven’s dining room. Now if you are a vegetarian, I have tried their Mediterranean salad and it is scrumptious! I must warn you though, that the smell of steak and ribs may entice you to convert to becoming an omnivore.

Yeah buddy best ribs for a chain rib and steak house I have been too in Sydney a lil pricey but the cocktails were banging maybe this helped with my night but meh forget the other chains stick to hurricanes
Really like this place. Really friendly staff. Great food and great service. Some people think its over priced, but if you consider the portion sizes it really isn't. Drinks are a little expensive though. But overall a good place to grab a bite if you like meat lots of meat!
Restaurant has a nice, modern set-up that almost feels like you're dining outdoors. Staff were nice and ribs were beautifully cooked. A half rack is massive! My only downside is I prefer my ribs to have more sauce than what they had. Prices are a little high, but I was impressed so I will return again.

DELICIOUS. I will never, ever stop loving the bbq pork ribs here. Everytime I go, I get the same thing, I try to force myself to try something new, but I just can't go past the ribs. They are so tender and delicious, and the sauce is amazing. You also get a choice between chips or baked potato. I want ribs right now.
My partner always gets a steak, medium rare, and it is always cooked to perfection, and he gets it without sauce, because none is needed. The steak here is the best I have ever tasted in my liiiiife and I never thought I would like steak without sauce, but it is sooo juicy.
The garlic bread is also delicious, it is crunchy and leaves many crumbs, but it is great accompanied with the entree scallops in cauliflower puree. That sauce.. dip your garlic bread in it.
I love eating here because the quality of both the food and the service is consistent. I just can't stand one waitress who makes a puckered kiss noise all the time to get the other staff member's attention - actually, I think they might all do it, but it is bloody irritating.
This restaurant looks just as good as the food and especially the service, the ambiance sets the mood for any occasion, for our case my sisters 18th birthday, a lively restaurant with a great team of staff, catering our needs to the "T" would like to say a special thanx to our waitress Monica, well educated on the menu and served our fussy table with a smile.

Mmm ribs.. A Sydney icon makes it's way west. Famous among locals as having the best ribs in Sydney, Hurricanes has opened up shop in Top Ryde and this new venue does not disappoint. Of the three venues this one is my favorite, it has a nice fit-out, good atmosphere and friendly service. It's always packed so it can get a little loud but who wants to hear the sounds of their fellow diners devouring their full rack of ribs.
The ribs, as you may have gathered already, are awesome however the charcoal roasted chicken with peri-peri sauce is a close second. While being the underdog of the fight, it is a serious contender for the title [see what i did there... hurricane... boxing reference]. Luckily they have the perfect solution, half rack ribs and half chicken combo. The boerworst sausage and mash is also quite good. Was a little disappointed with the steak however... not awful but not of the same standard as those mentioned above, and definitely not worth the price. on that subject, I should mention it is quite expensive (the chicken and ribs mentioned above is about 50 bucks!). That said I've been back many times so that should tell you something.
Book a few weeks in advance if you need to make a booking but you can usually just rock up and put your name down then go for a wander while you wait for a table.
Ribs!. Having been to the one in Bondi Beach several times, I expected the same quality here in Top Ryde. We ordered calamari for entree and two full racks (pork ribs). We found that one of the full racks was dry whereas the other one was juicy. Not sure why, but the juicy one was excellent, whereas the dry one was OK. Staff was very attentive, and sometimes we found that they are a little bit too eager, probably because they want to make a good impression. Overall, this place is highly recommended.
