Second time I’ve been here and it has been very consistent! Very very very yummy. Best baguettes and best croque monsieur I’ve ever eaten.
Definitely a must try when around.
One of my favorite place breakfast in top ryde. A small french place very friendly and will amazing food and deserts options. I love my coffee and croissant there or my salmon croquettes. Just go and have a look will not be disappointed.

This was my first meal in Australia and I was not very sure of what I had ordered. But as soon as I had the first sip of my coffee, I was glad. I had a caramel latte which was perfect.
We had the croque Monsieur with fried eggs and my fried who was very excited as you can see, had the grilled sourdough.
Both were good and filling as brunch options. Would love to visit again.
Just tried their coffee and loved their skinny mocha. There's good balance of a nice coffee bean and quality chocolate. Their cakes looked really nice that we had the fig tart for take-away. It was not too sweet, and tasted great! Would definitely be coming back to try their other cakes!
Checked out the new French patisserie located just outside Top Ryde City shopping centre for dessert last week! There were a lot of good looking dessert on display! We picked the Fig Tart and chocolate chip cookie to go. The Fig Tart came with a coffee as part of a cake deal. Hubby liked the Fig Tart while I preferred the cookie (not a fig person) Coffee was good. Service was friendly. Will be back to try the others. They sell bread too!
I was very surprised to find that this place had not had many reviews! Decided to give this place a go, having had a sudden interest in all the local cafes in the Top Ryde Shopping Centre vicinity. This cafe was one that I originally did not feel too eager to try, because not many people were inside around on a weekday afternoon, but I'm glad I tried it. The waiter was very friendly, and really efficient, delivering water without us even having to ask.
My mum and I decided to order and try their watermelon cake slice ($8ish), and we tried their cappuccinos as well. The cake was very similar to one I had seen in Blackstar Pastry, although it had thinner slices of watermelon, and a lot more cream. This cake in my opinion, had a lot more depth in flavour, and a thicker watermelon slice in the middle. It was really delicious, the watermelon retaining the soaked rose water, and the jellies with a hint of alcohol on top of the cake, made it all the more tasty! I thoroughly enjoyed the coffee ($3.5) too, which was large, and definitely one of the better coffees I've had in the local area considering the price paid.
Overall, a very positive experience for a cafe that I firmly believe deserves a lot more attention! Would definitely be back to try some of the other cakes, and definitely would like to try the brekky/lunch menu. Keep up the good work at Cocotte! :)
Cute patisserie! Croissants, pastries, cakes! The cakes looks so nice, had to get some to take home. I got a pain au chocolat, the apple & champagne cake & the fig tart. The light green colour make the apple cake look so fresh, the champagne jelly on top makes it look interesting. Taste wise it was ok, subtle, quite creamy yet light. The fig tart was like the complete opposite, it was dense, almost like a rock. In fact the only other time I had something similar was in the US. The flavours were ok, but just hard to get through the heavy denseness. Definitely will be back to try the other cakes on offer.
Wonderful! We had the cappuccino and an ice chocolate. They were fantastic. Best ice chocolate I’ve had! Pricing is very reasonable and service is fast and polite. Will be back for sure. Would recommend.
Cosy little patisserie with lovely looking cakes. (didn't have any this time)
Croque Monsieur was tasty and not overwhelmingly cheesey
Onion soup was also done well and piping hot too =)
Good coffee here as well
Was here after reading all the wonderful reviews. When I hear French - croissant is the first thing that comes to my mind and is my favourite pastry. Coming here, ofcourse I had to try it. And I must say not disappointed at all !!! Was buttery, flaky, soft and yum. We took the Raspberry financier as well. It dint woow me like the croissant did. May be because I am in love with croissant.
Definitely will visit this place again.
Really enjoy their Fraisier cake. It’s a génoise cake (very much like a sponge cake), and it’s layered with smooth pastry cream. The whole thing just melts in your mouth without being overly sweet, or sticky. And their Champagne Saveur d'ete was so refreshing. Definitely a must try!
Really nice food/dessert, and a lovely atmosphere with friendly staff!! 36/10 would recommend friends.
Delicious food and coffee , they even bring in French dough to make their baguettes to offer that genuine French taste
