My first visit here was years ago when it first open, but wasn’t particularly impressed, it felt like just average fast food dressed up. Returning after a few years, I find it a lot more enjoyable. I got a steak schnitzel this time. The salad was green & fresh, the chips crispy & moorish with chicken salt. The steak itself was little dry, it was ok to eat without a sauce, but would’ve been heaps better with one.
always nice schnitzel, my son loves this place. i love the chips!! it’s freshly cookes and with generous sizes too. prices are reasonable plus located in a shopping centre so parking is convenient.
A unique place that creates great food! Always enough space for groups on the fly, or a crispy, fresh, pan fried schnitzel! Come and get your Schnitzel fix!
This place is SO UNDERRATED!!!
First time coming here and after seeing the reviews over the country for Schnitz I didn't expect much. Altogether we ordered 3 meals which came with chips/salad and a drink: burger meal, wrap meal and schnitzel meal. I got the burger and the Turkish bread was so soft and worked perfectly- to die for! The chicken schnitzel's in all 3 meals were cooked to perfection, juicy but not oily, and generous serving size but not too ridiculously big that leaves you feeling overly-full and bloated. Oh and the seasoned chips were just so special, I could taste chicken salt on them which I love!!
P.S. sweet chilli mayo is to die for - swap any sauce for this one!!
All in all this is 100x better than any shitty takeaway schnitzel + you get friendly and very quick service. Will definitely be back soon for my next schnitzel/burger craving 😍
You always have a favourite fast food place & this seems to be fast becoming mine. I am addicted to their chunky, special seasoned fries & also love the crunchy schnitzel. Usually go for the American dream but this time just wanted something simple & basic. Super tasty & satisfying.
My local is the Ryde area and I head to Schnitz in Top Ryde. The Top Ryde Schnitz is a lot nicer than a lot of the other food court venues. There are big booths, big tables for big groups of people/families and a much bigger space in the open air. . I decide to try a schnitz I haven't tried before. I check out the
Quite enjoyed my first experience at Schnitz. I’d say the classic schnitzel with a salad or chips on the side would be a better option than a roll (which just looks like a burger) or wrap. The Swiss Schnitz “roll” could have been a lot better and quite frankly tasted like an amateur made burger. And fish was a far superior choice over the chicken.
I ordered the fish schnitzel combo with chips and side salad. The salad was pretty dismal and not very fresh at all, but the chips were delicious and super addictive. Especially with the hot chili sauce, must get with the hot chili! The fish was tiny but cooked perfectly and really tasty. Honestly I feel like the fish itself would have scored higher but there were just far too many aspects which weren’t up to standard. Another one was the service. The staff seemed so lost, not sure if she was new, but it did also seem like she wasn’t really paying attention. We were charged the wrong amount which we realised later, and I asked for spicy crumbs on mine but I don’t think that went through either.

I've been hearing many good things about Schnitz these days so I decided to visit this place today for lunch.
I ordered a beef schnitzel burger and my sister ordered the chicken schnitzel with chips and salad. The burger had amazing flavour combinations, but I recommend you get a more tender protein choice like chicken or fish as the beef schnitzel was slightly tough and chewy - definitely not optimal for a burger. The chicken schnitzel was pretty good. Surprisingly, the best thing about the meal was the chips which were super crunchy and delicate. Really impressive.
In addition, the service was pretty good and the premises was very spacious.
I dont mind this place - especially if you are craving something quick and easy to eat. I had a fish schnitzel wrap $9.50 which was very pleasant and tasty. The Protein packed schnitzel burger $15.90 + fries $3.50 ends up being a pricey lunch but its pretty nice and the tables get cleaned straight away.
Schnitz is a chain which is rapidly expanding across Sydney but I don't quite agree with their rating on Zomato. They are much more popular in Melbourne. I dropped by the Schnitz eatery in Top Ryde for a quick lunch. I have seen Schnitz in the fancy food court in Bondi and wondered if it was worthwhile trying. Â The Top Ryde version is part of the outdoor seating they have in the piazza. It's got a laid back vibe and is nicer than the food court in Bondi.Â

Popped in for a quick lunch on a SUnday around 1.30pm and the place was packed. THere were a few tables near the counter.
Order and pay first then you get a table number.
We got the kids meal, a chicken schnitzel salad, the schnitz and chips and the status quo schnitzel wrap which came with coleslaw and cheese.
Waited under just under 10 mins for our meal which i thought was reasonable seeing how busy they were.
Food was actually pretty tasty, i have seen mixed reviews about this place but it did not disappoint for me. Staff are friendly too.
Overall, good first time visit.
The Top Line: Schnitz will offer a good standard schnitzel, but the best parts were the sides. They had really nice salads and amazing thick cut fries! This is a great option for a quick lunch or takeaway at an affordable price!.
The Review: Schnitz is sort of an institution in Melbourne and has recently opened up three stores in Sydney. It focuses on the humble schnitzel in 4 variations - chicken, beef, fish and vegetarian - and does it in all sort of forms including plain schnitzel, rolls, wraps, burgers, salads.
Its okay, really don't feel the hype. Pretty good for what we paid for however taste is very basic and not very far from the typical schnitz you can get around every corner. Chips where seasoned well and presentation was nice.
