This was one of the best Indian meals I’ve had. The food was delicious and for the most part really good value for money. Service was friendly and the food was prepared really quickly. My only complaint would be that for $4.50 the size of the serving of Kulfi was pretty small. The taste however was delicious. I will definitely be ordering from here again and highly recommend Hungry Indian to anyone looking for a tasty Indian meal
A nice little place with some REALLY tasty dishes. Butter chicken and Naan - spot on!!!
Loved the dosa and lamb curry combination. Thanks for recommending that :-) and very competitive pricing too...
Exceptional Mutton Biryani. Juicy, succulent had excellent spice and the perfect balance of sauce meat and rice. Would done again!
We can't stay away! Love all the street food options, haven't had a chance to try many mains, but plan to keep coming back to our new local. So far masala dosa is my favourite. Really good serving size for very affordable price.
Great service and excellent food - decor very basic but the food makes up for it. Most authentic Indian I've had for a very long time - will be back.
Loved it! We Will be back! Got to chat with some great people there as well... can’t wait to see a Hungry Indian in Albury!
Great food, great customer service at the hungry indian
WOW what a surprise. Brought back memories of eating out in India. Don't let the simple decor put you off. Cause the Hungry Indian' food is delicious and authentic. With great value for money and friendly staff to look after you.
Make sure you try out Chicken 65 and the Indian street food, YUMMY. Now my favorite India in Aussie. Really looking forward to going back for more.
Yummy yummy tasty. Best local food. Enjoyed Last visit
Cheap and amazing taste
Best in the area for sure
This place serves good Indian food. However its like opening a gift where you don’t know what to expect, sometimes it’s on the dot and sometimes you would wish to go back in time and cancel the order. For instance the naan I had ordered was raw, chilli chicken was spicy even for an Indian’s pallet.
Taste wise - Probably the best Indian restaurant in Inner West. I would rate it even higher than Abhi's. Ordered Goat Sizzler and Chicken Biryani. The mutton was very tender properly marinated and gravy was to die for. The Chicken Biryani made me recollect my Hyderabadi days. Very Yummy. Kudos to the chef , we tried almost all the dishes here - week after week and none of them disappointed us. Gr8 value to money as.
With your current chef(s), you would go places guys - its just that have to rethink about your ambience. Keep rocking !!
Been ordering food from here for delivery on menulog last few weeks. I must admit they do one of the best chicken tandoori and naan. The goat curry is also good here. Have to try dine in but for delivery they are on 10/10. Give them a try.
I’m not a huge fan of Indian food. Being a Vietnamese and I am much more familiar with Chinese cuisine than Indian. So my review may not be relevant to those who claimed to be expert in Indian food. I can only eat butter chicken and chicken manchurian so every single Indian restaurants I went to I only ordered those 2 dishes. And today I have to come home and write a review. Butter chicken was delicious. I have eaten butter chicken in Himalaya before, Himalaya’s butter chicken is a little bit better (creamier I guess), but when compare the price Hungry Indian totally beat them. We dine in so the naan was still hot, crunchy and smell so good. The chicken manchurian is good but a but salty, but I guess it will balance the saltiness if you eat with rice. Mango lassi for $3 is a huge bargain. We seem to be the only guests dine in tonight, so the place is a bit quiet, tho I can see some food deliveries come. The lady who took order is nice to us and told us food might take 20mins, but we didn’t have to wait that long. Definitely come back for their mango lassi and butter chicken. They offer a lunch buffet for $11.90 😱😱😱
Well my friend loves this place and she introduced me to this place. With average ambience, this place serves food Indian food. We had the tandoori chicken, samosas, madras chicken and naan which was delicious. The service definitely needs improvement.
Food - 4/5
Service - 3/5
Ambience - 2/5
Value for Money - 4/5
Authentic Indian food. Perfect spice and flavors. Not like other restaurants where everything is sweet and horrible. I highly recommend chicken tikka masala and tandoori.
This is more of value for money kind of a place. Good for take away. Malai Kofta is one of the best I have tried. They have an unlimited lunch buffet with drinks. I loved the daal and mutton gravy in that one.

Indian street style, nice flavour feel like i am eating this chilly chicken in india..
10 out of 10 for this chilly chicken
Awesome food and great service. Have a chat with them if you want your food a little less spicy or extra spicy. Totally worth it! Awesome Mango Lassi!
Amazing place! True value for money and excellent service. Tried their mixed fried rice, chilly chicken, chicken manchurian, chilly paneer and mango lassi. Loved every dish. A pocket friendly place for all students
Today I ate lunch buffet it’s just$12.90 good taste. Recommended. Good service all the prices bit low . I want to visit again to try some dosa and idly.
If you're an Indian expat, this place is a must try. You get to taste the comfort foods you got to enjoy back home.
The Hyderabadi #Chicken65 - oh man!!! Nailed down to the tiniest detail. The same rustic spicy yummy dish you get on the streets of Hyderabad.
Loved the Dum Biryani and finished with a Dosa. Tried the dosa with the lamb curry instead of the usual chutney/sambhar side as per the staff's recommendation. Oh yes!!!
It doesn't take long to know that these guys know their food and what goes well with what.
Just being hyped up after a long time as I got to eat my comfort foods.
If you're a non Indian, it's a good place to try out Indian food that captures the flavours and doesn't burn your mouth or a hole in your pocket.
