Best fish & chips on the peninsula! Good prices and generous portion sizes! It's yum food and you can count on it being as good as the last time. Very busy over the holidays! 👍
Came for lunch and ordered the fish bite pack, an extra flake and grilled whiting. The girl serving us was polite and we received our order promptly. Everything was fresh and absolutely delicious.
Would definitely recommend getting chicken salt on the chips if you are a fan!
After reading some not so great negative reviews we decided to risk ordering. We weren’t disappointed at all. Delicious and super fresh. Our only slight complaints was the fish was a bit oily however soooo fresh and delicious. Potato cakes were a bit floury. Crab sticks were delicious. Our 4.5yo and 18mo devoured there’s which is always a positive sign. Will definitely be returning next visit.
Absolutely cracking fish and chip shop, by far the best place to get your fish and chips in Rye!
The grilled fish was lightly battered then grilled, the fish was thick and juicy, some of the best grilled fish I have had outside of a restaurant! Chips, potato cake and south melb dimmy all great! This is the only fish and chip shop open in Rye passed 8pm as well and thank god cause it the best one of the 3 by a mile.
Went on a busy Thursday night and obviously the only fish and chip shop open after 8 but they catered well. Absolute 10 out of 10 for their grilled flake and that’s in the unfortunate absence of lemon. It was large in size, thick and super juicy... one of the best I’ve had. Chips and potato cakes were good too. Good joint.
This place not only has the best fish and chips in rye, but the fresh fish available for purchase is the best in the area, we sometimes buy flake here to cook at home that day and it is always beautifully tender and light, with flavour unlike some other local fish suppliers who seem to water their fish so that they are tasteless. Furthermore, most of the bad reviews really should take into consideration that they are attending this place and every other place in Rye during tourist season so maybe they should be a little bit more considerate when it comes to wait times and also customer service, as it is NOT easy to work on the peninsula over summer. I mean seriously, how is it the venue/shops fault if there are just way too many customers to deal with all at once?
Really really good! Fresh and tasty burger, chrispy chips and calamari rings (not oily), and decent sized potato cakes. Impressed! And only came to $19?!
Best fish and chips in long time.. Flake was maybe the best I have had from fish and chip shop. 2 thumbs up
All Food Yummy. Fresh gummy flake and burger are very good test!
Had a delicuous fish and chips here. Flake, potato cakes, dim sims and chips all cooked to perfection - crisp and golden on the outside and succulent within. Drank a Portello which was a nice little surprise. Served with a friendly smile and taken across the road to the foreshore: fish and chip heaven!
Closest fish and chips ive found to when I was a kid...no fancy polish on it just good old fashioned fish and chips.
Great food. The burgers are great and the chips superb......our fave local F&C shop.
Well worth a try.

One of, if not, the best fish n chips this side of the city! Never disappoints with freshness and quality. Must change their oils daily because the chips are mindblowing and the fish has the perfect golden crunch. Big thumbs up
Our 'go to' fish and chips on the peninsula.
Always consistent (have never had a bad meal). Fish and chips are good quality with nice batter. Prices are reasonable and staff are friendly. My only criticism is that the potato cakes sometimes have too much batter.
The banana fritter with cinnamon is yum 😋
Great little fish and chippery 🐟 right in the heart of Rye, good choice of favourites and plenty of combo deals and family deals for the family with plenty of everyone's favourites all packed into an amazing $53 dollar deal.
Food came up quickly, very fresh flake and the batter came up very crispy and crunchy.
Simply park in the Woolies carpark and it's a short walk, around the corner.
Some of the heartiest fish and chips I've ever had. Got the family pack. $48 will get you 4 of everything. Big pieces of flake, a chicken nugget, panko crumbed calamari rings, a dim sim and the chunkiest potato filled potato cake that will keep you full till your next meal.
Would have given 5 stars if they gave some lemon wedges and a 1.8% surcharge for using card.
Really great fish and chips and one of the few places that did not disappoint in the whole of the peninsula. It was a small walk away from the beach and while it seemed just like your run-of-the-mill fish and chip shop, everything was absolutely delicious. The souvlaki wasn't nearly as good as the snapper so I'd recommend staying with your classic seafood options if you don't have any aversions.
great chips! moist grilled fish, usually they’re dry from other places so great job. could’ve used a bit more salt but, very good
