This place has THE best coffee in adelaide and excellent food. I havmde the scrambled eggs and toast which was awesome but as soon as my partners chorizo omelet came out I had food envy. The staff here are ALL amazing, friendly and funny.

super friendly service and awesome selections of hot drinks. drinks were delicious and my soy mocha was made exactly how i asked (i'm a fussy coffee drinker) not a big menu for food, only a few lunch and snack options so a good place for light eats. toastie was crisp and perfectly melted inside. average prices and lots of people popping in and out for coffee. definitely be back again :)
Having shopped around for a quality coffee I have found Coffee Amigo to consistently deliver the best coffee in Adelaide. Friendly staff, great atmosphere and the Belgian Mocha is a must try!
Fantastic coffee and lovely service, coming from a person who has a standard 2 sugars in their coffee, I came here and found my coffee didn't need any sugar! The bitterness wasn't horrible, the beans weren't burnt and the milk was frothed to perfection! A hidden gem amongst the streets of Salisbury! Love it :)

Worth risking your life for. The only good reason to risk your life and hang out in salisbury. Deliciously good coffee, don't bother going elsewhere, you'll get the equivalent of international roast with scalded milk.

Great coffee which is up there with the best in Adelaide, and certainly beats anything nearby. The breakfast menu has several Mexican influenced dishes, and with nothing over $10 it is amazing value. Had the Huevos Gemelos which is two eggs served on tortillas with refried beans, fetta and a special tomato sauce - sensational! Lovely staff too. Give this place a visit!

Good coffee, fresh authentic food, friendly owner. I was pleased to find someone who can make a good cup of coffee this side of the city. So far this is the only good coffee I've found north of The Coffee Barun. The owner is happy and friendly, he always asks how I'd like my coffee and then asks for feedback so he can make it better next time.
For breakie we ordered one of their traditional Mexican/central American options and we loved it. We also shared the bananna and strawberry waffles. I wasn't expecting much from them but they are great.
I've also been back for lunch, the 'plate of the day' special was a Spanish flavoured chicken breast with rice, a house made tortilla, salad and the most delicious fresh sauce.
The chicken burger is nice and the beef tacos are great
The decor and ambience isn't impressive, just adequate, but the service is very fast, so its a good place to pop in for a quick coffee or a meal.

I've now been back about 20 times and I love it here. Julio is a charming friendly host who cares about his customers and is really patient with angloaussies who don't know anything about Spanish or Salvadorean cuisine. Ethnic and Aussie options are both excellent.
Dozens of coffees here and I've never had a bad one or a weak one, which is more than I can say for Coffee Barun, Taylor's Blend and the likes of Cibo etc. I rate Coffee Amigo in my top 5 or 10 Adelaide suburban coffee houses (though obviously I haven't been to them all).
PUPUSAs! you must go atleast once and try the pupusas. They are done on special occassions and at the time of writing this they are trialling Friday night dinners with pupusas.
For ignorant whities like me, a pupusa is a thich fresh fluffy corn tortilla stuffed with marinated meats cheeses and light spice etc. It is cooked like a thick pancake until the cheese melts. Served with a beautiful tomato sauce/salsa. Like a cross between a soft taco and a pizza or calzone. At $2.50 each a meal for two people is only $10-15!
Hands down, Julio (the owner) makes great coffee. The hot chocolate with a dash of chilli is superb. Julio has a witty sense of humour and always makes you feel welcome. The cafe is always busy, a testament to the friendliness of the staff and the superb coffee they provide. The rear of the cafe provides a very cosy seating area. Definitely recommend this place to anyone who enjoys a good cup of coffee πππππ
My husband and I were awaiting an appointment in the area and called in for a quick breakfast and coffee. The staff were so lovely and welcoming and the latte was one of the best in Adelaide I've had. Great tasting coffee and presented beautifully as well. Will definitely be back, great coffee spots are hard to find. Thank-you for the great experience.

Amazing coffee that is so smooth and well-brewed you don't need to add sugar. The staff were friendly and knew how to provide top service. We only ordered a ham and cheese croissant (which was one of the best we have had), but the rest of the food look very tasty and fresh.

Absolutely premium service, all the staff are so welcoming and lovely. Ontop of that the coffee is out of this world, the hot chocolates are to die for(the dark cinnamon hot chocolate is my person favourite). They use the most beautiful packaging for their take away cups too which, fun fact are carbon neutral!
They have vegan cheese for most if their dishes making it one of the few places in the north that you can pick up a nice vegan lunch.
