Just had one of the best meals I've had in a while.....it's very rare to find an Italian restaurant that does pasta just as good as their pizza but these guys nailed it!
Pamela & son had dinner recently at Alegria & it was a very good night the food was really nice & the service was friendly, will be back next time for Pizza they looked great
Had a beautiful night... Friendly girls helped us with our drinks.. Beautiful food... great pizza...
Excellent night.. :)
Will be back again .... for sure :)
Lovely staff. Leanne and I walked in and were greeted straight away. Ordered a wine (a bit steep at $40 a bottle but nice and cold). Bread first up..absolutely beautiful. Cant fault it. Pasta main fantastic. Will be back tomorrow!
A great little restaurant out in the small Samford Village. My wife and I thought we'd give this place a go one weekend while out that way. We've been back a number of times since and have taken family with us. The pizzas are fantastic... Wood fired! All this talk of pizza is making me hungry...
Amazing pizza and pasta. Never had a bad meal here. Favourite place to eat in Samford.
Awesome pizzas. Never disapointed
Went there recently and the food was amazing. We ordered a pizza, veal tortellini and a cannelloni. We have been in the past and found it ok however this last time the food was exceptional. Not sure if anything has changed but if it has I'm glad. Service is average and staff are a little clueless but it's adequate enough and it's seriously hard to get really good service in places nowadays.
Yummy. My friend and I went there tonight for the first time and were very impressed. The bread was to die for. We both had a veal dish and were very impressed. Price was acceptable as meals were generous, well presented and tasty. Shall return.
Awesome Pizza. In our opinion, Alegria do fantastic Pizza's. We eat here regularly and have always found the service to be good, and the food excellent. Their wine selection is a bit limited but they appear to be improving on this front. The restaurant is usually full or close to full on a Friday or Saturday night so make sure you book.
I usually have breakfast here on a Saturday morning as well and the breakfast wrap or eggs Benedict are both good, as is the coffee.
Nice Pizzas. Went here for Father's Day and had pizzas. Real traditional pizzas. Nice place for dinner. We will be back.
Pleasant enough food. Recently went to Alegria with my partner and a couple of friends. It was pleasant enough food, nothing was wow! But it was all good :-) I had the scallops penne pasta, average, deffo a dish that could be easily replicated at home - the pizzas looked pretty special though and the pecan pizza dessert was good too.
Fantastic wood fire pizza, yummy dessert pizza. Every time I'm in the area I go back and have enjoyed it whether its takeaway or I eat in.
It is casual dining and has a nice atmosphere with good music playing in the background so you can still chat. (Keep in mind most previous bad reviews are from 2011 don't let them turn you off enjoying great food)
Fabulous. This place is our regular family night venue. The food is alway great, especially the Pizzas. Nino and the team work tirelessly hard to ensure everyone feels comfortable and are enjoying themselves. Remember good food takes time and if you want fast food try McDonald's or KFC. I can't recommend this place high enough.
Mixed bag. Average to poor service, sat at a dirty table, despite having made a booking and the restaurant not being anywhere close to capacity, HOWEVER the food is pretty spectacular. I ordered one of the risottos, and my fellow diners definitely had food envy!
I think I'd go back again if I was in the area, other than that would try somewhere else as I'm still looking for the 'whole' experience.
Sue and I just had the calamari and Alegria beef burger and both were great. The seasoning on the chips is awesome! Looking forward to coming back for pizza.
It's lovely!. My experience was really good. Even though they were at capacity all of our food arrived on time, that included an appetiser and bread, then four mains. They were helpful about letting us know where we could buy wine from that was nearby, as they are BYO. The food was delicious, three of us had the lamb and I had a mussel risotto. The woodfired pizza is amazing, we shared one to start and it's converted my carnivorous boyfriend who was happy with the tomato, basil and olive base.
Worst service ever but the food was amazing. Food totally outshone how appalling the young kids serving (or not serving) were.
Fantastic , beautiful food... Fabulous place for Sunday Lunch....
Fantastic!!!. Same for us with these reviews, we had refused to return on account of lazy service, food that had gone downhill and the most filthy drinking glasses I have ever seen in any restaurant ever.
We went back as our young daugher wanted to see Nino the chef throw the pizza dough - I honestly didnt want to go.
New interior decorating is very nice, there are new plates, cutlery, glasses (clean) and the staff are lovely. Pizza was amazing! We even stayed and ordered the banana split pizza .
HIghly recommend and we are looking forward to becoming regulars again
Very friendly service with good quality food
Now Worth Going Back To :). I totally agree with the previous two reviews. I have dined there twice since the 're-birthing' of this restaurant some two weeks ago and on both occasions have found the food, service and atmosphere to be wonderful! Congratulations to the new owners and their staff on a job well done! I highly recommend you try this establishment and I also urge previous customers to give it a try again.
Exquisite Italian Dining. Wow! The restaurant has had a complete makeover. The new owners have done a magnificent job of creating an Italian feeling to the restaurant. The menu has also changed. Still the authentic wood fired pizzas and delicious pastas, with many new italian dishes added. The new Scallopini ai Funghi is the best I've ever experienced.
I strongly recommend Alegria Itallian Restauarant.
Quick bite. Seems the service has been improved since, one of the only BYO's in Samford & great place to go just for an antipasto or late night pizza. Pasta awesome for a night out, but make sure you book on a friday or saturday to avoid the wait for a table. They will do takeaway antipasto platters as well as pizza's which are great on a lazy wekend!
Fantastic saturday morning breakfast!!!! Peaceful and relaxing, great food, great service, great all round. Will definately be back! Highly recommended!
It seems they have listened to their customer base and hired some professionals with insight and skills. The food was spot on already and now the service is right, not yet perfect but getting there. The deli is an absolute gem.
Tasty food served in generous portions. Only down side is that service has been extremely slow on the occasions I've visited. Friendly wait staff are quick to apologise for delays. One to visit for lunch / coffees when you're not in any hurry.

Good food, and good service. Helpful with special dietary requests. Prices quite reasonable given the standard of the food and service.
Excellent woodfired pizza, and the only place serving authentic Italian food in Samford. We ordered take away so I can't comment on the restaurant service which seems to be the issue with customer's low ratings. However our pizzas were ready within 10min and staff were very friendly despite being flat out with a Christmas party. Hot tip, the truffle pizza was AMAZING!
