We were introduced to Marios through my Brother-in-Law and Partner - what a great restaurant for traditional Italian food made with fresh and often local produce. We have eaten there about 5-6 times over the past few years, and have always enjoyed the food, and Mario & his wife's friendly service. Mario also makes his own small-goods every year - so it is really worth trying the antipasto. The seafood linguine was one of the best I've had, and my husband had a wonderful steak - we have tried many other items on the menu, and loved them all. Oh - do try his bruschetta - such a simple item to make, but when made well - superb!
If you want great food, great service and a great atmosphere Mario's is the place for you! Living on the island for many years Mario's is the only place that is consistently great. Every time we go somewhere else to try the food we instantly regret not going to Mario's. Seriously cannot fault a thing and the staff are lovely!!

Mario's at San Remo is an excellent bistro with delicious cuisine. It has a very friendly atmosphere and the staff go out of their way to accomodate you. I highly recommend Mario's to anyone who enjoys good cuisine and friendly staff. Maree
We were lucky to experience the amazing food at Mario’s last night. The best salt and pepper calarmari I have ever had. Generous size, fresh and delicious. The staff we very friendly and attentive and we were then privelaged to have a chat with Mario himself. We will definately be returning on our next break with some promised pies for Mario. Highly recomend you won’ t be disappointed- only if you don’ t book.
We have been patrons of Mario since the Ocean View Hotel in Kilcunda. Followed him to San Remo hotel and to his own restaurant. His signature dish of white bait our fav! Good wholesome food, lovely service and as a business entrepreneur he seriously cares. Always a pleasure when he ventures out of the kitchen to acknowledge us and say hi. Highly recommend Vicky and Rob.

We had Sunday lunch today at Marios (5people). Everyone's meal was superb, steaks, seafood and pasta. The bruschetta was delicious, full of zing and flavour. Yum yum yum. Fabulous friendly service and an all round great luncheon experience. Beautiful views over San Remo beach and very comfy chairs to settle into. A visit here will not disappoint. Very generous meals, go hungry! We will be back - soon! Thanks Mario.
