Review Luxe Fish - Sandringham

Friendly service every time! Can call ahead and order, convenient location if you live near Sandringham station or hanging out at the beach nearby. Easy peasy and the royale burger if we are hungry. Or the truffle Parmesan chips for a snack! Delicious, crispy and good value.

I really loved this place! The food was so fresh, tasty and abundant. And at a good price. The place it is quiet and very clean! And the most important thing they brought my order right away!

Whenever we have fish n chips this is our go to. Clean, fresh and no oily heavy feeling after eating. If you're in the area highly recommend.

Shared the Duo with a friend, everything was well cooked but would prefer to have the scallops grilled instead of fried, if that's an option, as the meal just felt bit too heavy and greasy, then again just our personal preference. Excellent location being a few minutes away from the beach. Staff service was also friendly.

Great fish and chips. The barramundi deal for $15 is good value and includes chips and salad. I think it’s pretty insane this places charges $1 for a small bit of tomato sauce though - but I guess they can as they have the words gourmet on their sign. Just don’t think that kind of charge is necessary. Chips are cooked super well and staff are friendly.

I ordered 2 fish and chip packs including coleslaw. The fish was dry. I expected batter and got grilled fish. It was not good at all. We got no coleslaw, no tartare and soggy chips. Very disappointing. I’ll try the more basic fish and chip shop across the road next time.

I've tried a few pieces from Luxe Fish. It's not your ordinary fish shop - the meals are a cut above for sure. I favour 'The Kraken', their calamari dish, and you can tell that it isn't the processed stuff! While you pay for the quality, it's certainly worth it. The wait isn't bad, especially for freshly cooked food, and the tables inside resemble a dining environment that I would be happy to eat in with a small group of friends. Seating is a bit limited and cramped, but with the beach a short walk away this is only an issue if you let it be one!

Beautiful seafood which is so light and cooked gently it does melt in your mouth. Forget the greasy fish and chips as this shop does it with light batter and everything is sofresh and tasty. <br/><br/>Check it out....as I am sure you'll return again,and again.<br/><br/>Very satisfied. I travel long distances to get my fish and chips here.

Only been here once but loved it. Best fish n chips I’ve had. Good array of fresh fish and sauces to pick from and well put together fish packs. The fish is very fresh and well seasoned and the thick cut chips were spot on. I often find fish n chips leave me feeling sick due to being too rich but not here.

I travel from Moorabbin for the fish and chips here. Better than anything around me. They are always good. Not the cheapest going around but you get what you pay for.

Decent burger with all the right elements.  Friendly and efficient service.  Much better than the place across the road.  All class!  ....and supercars!!!

Had a great experience here! Stopped by for a late lunch at 3pm and ordered some chips, calamari, and South Melbourne dim sims. Was really impressed and the chips were great! Small selection of drinks, but friendly staff and nice decor. Would come again!

The food is ridiculously expensive for fish and chips. We ordered 5 fish, large chips, garden salad and a burger which was almost $100!! We got home to find they had not given us the burger. I rang up, went back down and had to wait another 10 minutes for them to make it. No compensation given for messing up our order or offer to deliver it to us. Save $70 and go to the fish and chips across the road. Would not go back here.

Service here is beyond terrible. Every time I have been we've waited ages - nothing else on the grill, and still had to wait 35 minutes for a single portion of grilled fish and chips. Nothing special about the food either. Inedible salad and overpriced.

First time experience. Waited half hour which was understandable for a Friday night. Had a grill back. Awesome fish and yummy chips. Not impressed with the salad which was soggy and not fresh

Disappointed today with Luxe Fish. Usually very good quality and worth the higher price - but today the chips were a bit average and for some reason the fish was crumbed (usually the fried fish has a nice batter on them). I guess I'll give them one more try just in case the usual kitchen staff were on holiday...

Best food in Melbourne! Just started regularly coming here I think the fish is awesome and usually don't eat burgers but just tried the Royale with cheese and it blew my mind! Definitely coming back!!!!

Luxe is pure luxury and the food is better than deluxe with the quality stranded with the even better feeling of excellent and efficient friendly service. Honestly it's the best fish and chips style burger I've ever had and sadly I struggled to eat all of it unfortunately. My jaw dropped when it arrived to the table as the size of it blew me away. The chips are so delicious too and I suggest you add the truffle oil and Parmesan cheese to it for extra added flavour. This place sure has the wow factor about it and I'm looking forward to returning again.

This place is fine gem. We were happened to be in the area for lunch. The flake and flathead and scallop were so fresh. Delicious menu. Will come again.

Always happy with the meals we order here. Fresh food and good service. The buns are amazing as is the grilled fish. Best to have the hand cut chips with the truffle oil and Parmesan, amazing!

We have finally found the best fish and chip in the bay side of Melbourne. I can honestly say this is the best place I have been to thus far for a generous serve of fish and chips. I mostly have the duo combo pack and its bang on with excellent food and good bang for your buck. The place is modern and serve a great variety of chips and all their food we have tried so far has been excellent. The staff here are warm n very friendly and very accommodating. Love the idea of having peri peri sauce with chips (something new) and all ingredients look and taste fresh.  Fish tacos were not bad! although i think the sliders were slightly better! have been here at least 3 times in the last 4 months even though i don't live in bayside but would recommend anyone to give it a go!! Great service and food luxe fish!!! Keep it up :)

Great food. The Thai g snapper with brown rice and Thai green curry sauce is amazing and the kids are always happy with the burgers or fish and chips.

I went to Luxe Fish with a friend on a Sunday afternoon. Ordered fish & chips, salmon tacos and greek salad, some beers too. Food was well cooked. The fish was tender and cooked to the right level. We both liked the chips a lot. Crunchy and tasty. Sauces mingled perfectly with the veges in the salmon tacos. They also have a good selection of local and imported beers. <br/><br/>We stayed there for about 2 hours to enjoy the laid back surroundings. It was busy during 2-4pm on that Sunday. Lively & playful atmosphere. Quick & good service with friendly staff. Location: 2 mins walking to the beach. Luxe fish is a great small eatery to catch up with friends or just for a simple nice lunch / dinner.

Not a typical fish and chip shop. Fresh seafood. Had scallop ceviche, 5 spice chicken ribs, and salmon says. Love them all! Highly recommended.

Today I decided to go to Luxe Fish. This place definitely has something for everyone - it has the usual fish and chip menu along with some fancier dine in options you wouldn't find at other similar eateries.<br/><br/>I had the Scallop Ceviche - which was scallops with Spanish onion, mango salsa and citrus dressing. The presentation was so beautiful, definitely something I wouldn't expect to find at a fish and chip shop! The scallops were very fresh - the food was very light. I would recommend sharing the scallops and ordering something larger, or ordering another small dish alongside the scallops since they weren't that filling.<br/><br/>My boyfriend ordered the Old Friend. I really liked their chips and dipping sauce. Below is a mini review from my boyfriend explaining what he thought of his meal and Luxe Fish: <br/><br/>I had "The old friend" which is the typical flake and chips deal. However the taste was nothing short of greatness. The flake was cooked well, had a nice clean and crisp taste. No oilyness. Would really recommend. The chips were also really good. We'll seasoned and again, not oily. A big win for me.

Fish tacos were amazing 👌🏻 impressed with the quality. Friend ordered the shroom and kale burger which looked pretty good too. Definitely be back for more.

Best fish and chips we've had locally! Considering it's a more upmarket take on fish and chips, the prices were reasonable, too. I ordered the fish burger which was delicious and HUGE! My husband ordered the royale with cheese and ended up with the Luxe Royale somehow, but still enjoyed it. Good service, piping hot food and super fresh.

Didn't even manage to eat here due to service issues! The girl taking our order wasn't very fluent in English - she kept telling us to wait! Asked if they had gluten free burger buns - and after checking with kitchen staff, got told yes, we do gluten free. Only then in the process of putting through our order were told by the same kitchen staff member, no we don't have gluten free buns! May be good food, but soured by poor service, didn't get a thing!

At the time of writing, this new place offers the best fish and chips in Melbourne. Period. <br/>Tempura batter for the fish is delicate and crunchy. The fish is as fresh as you might have just caught it yourself. The chips are crispy and beautifully seasoned. <br/><br/>It was being staffed by and Indian and (I think) a Singaporean. I was asked if it was any good and I told them "best in Melbourne" I hope they keep up the good work. They said they were trying to stand out from other outlets in the area and it looks like they are. <br/><br/>Can't wait to come back here are try some more menu items. I note almost no mention of Dim Sims on the menu. When everything on the menu is that good, you don't want to ruin it with a Dimmy!

My new regular place for fish and chips. It's upscale but totally worth it!!! After discovering it, I think I went there five nights in a row for the M.B.B. Burger. Home run!!!

I found this fish and chips faultless. We ordered a takeaway and it was ready in 10 minutes. The most incredible batter and the best calamari I've had in years. Note: the menu offers more than what is shown here.

Definitely the best looking fish and chip shop in Bayside. Excellent fish and generous portion of chips for 11 bucks ! Why go anywhere else.

absolutely delicious! Igot the "royale with cheese" and they've honestly nailed it perfectly! it's tasty, sauces are so yum, its not too salty like many other burger joints I have been to, chips are just perfect. packaging is really clean and cute which adds a nice touch. they've put lots of effort into the fittings and have done a great job. highly recommend this joint for friendly bayside service, relaxed atmosphere & very reasonably priced for a great quality feed. keep it up! we will be back for sure :)
