Review Macchina - Sans Souci

Before the grocery, a little turmeric latte and salmon on charcoal bread is just the ticket. "I've always tried to try new things...and sometimes that's what I really want." You can't get fancy breakfasts like this in Sans Souci!

Always crave for the Brekkie Wrap 🤤. They also have the best croissant I’ve ever had! Croissant+their coffee = best! Staff is very welcoming plus they provided colour paper and colour pencil for kids. My 4yo already knows where to get them :).

I absolutely loved this place. Was a cold day but warm coffees were delivered to the table quickly. Service was excellent and food tasted delicious and was of very reasonable price for the portions served. Was able to swap ingredients on items on the menu. Recommend.

Nice food, good service and very nice atmosphere inside. My partner and I went for brunch. He had the prawn tacos and said they were amazing. I had the crispy chicken burger, a bit too saucy for my liking but it was huge. I could only manage half my burger and my partner ate the other half. Didn't even eat our sides/chips. Make sure you take your appetite!

Macchina Workshop sticks to the industrial workshop theme all the way down to the uncomfortable chairs you sit on. The inside is very nice but its more mainstream than small hipster cafe. The staff and service is really nice. They are fresh and lively.

The drinks came out really quickly. The piccolo (2/5) was very bitter and possibly a little burnt. Struggled to get through this. However, the caramel thickshake (7/5) was amazeballs! It has that sweetness you'd expect and the perfect thickness. This was almost finished in one long slurp on the straw.

The breakfast burrito (3/5) has a good mix of rocket, tomato relish, cheese and eggs. Get bacon added to this to make it pop with that saltiness and smooth dripping taste. The only problem with this is its a little empty.

The Big Mach (4/5) is Mach's version of the big breakfast. It comes with everything that you need, but it's just not plated well on an oversized plate. The flavours are good and the poached eggs ooze perfect. Still a good feed.

I'll back for the service and those thickshakes!
We ate here like around six months ago (before my reviewing days haha) and I remember it being quite nice. Today I just had a crushie with watermelon and orange and it was delicious. Friends had calamari that was on the specials board and that looked very tasty, and for only $15!! The staff was really nice as well! The owner told us how he used to work at urban spoon aka zomato before opening this place, how cool! Anyways, since the owner changed since the last time we were here, they changed the menu as well, so will have to come again and try the foot! All in all, really enjoyed it! 👍🏻

First time going to Macchina Workshop! Was excited with the extensive menu items on offer. Breakfast and lunch menus both had a large variety of options for all price ranges. Staff were cool, I think it was the owner kept coming over and asking how we were and making conversation, looks like they have loyal regular customers. Coffee was great. Will definitely be returning.

Friendly, helpful staff very good coffee and delicious sweet snacks.
Loads of parking even though it is located on a busy road. Definitely worth a visit.

I had lunch here, it was close to unbearable. Ordered a meal without cheese, got cheese. The other meal had plastic in it which I found while chewing. Notified waitstaff- she took it to show the chef and commented "it's only from a container" they made another one which appeared 2minutes later and seemed like the same contents with half of a new bun as opposed to entirely new. While closely paying attention to the new meal obviously due to being suspicious I noticed three little hairs as if the chef had remnants of a recent haircut. At checkout the cashier appears as if she was doing us the favor by only having us pay for one meal as opposed to two- granted the other with plastic and hair didn't get eaten. Also- it's not a club so the music vibe is quite out of order. Such a shame.

Came with a group of 12 while the cafe was full and the waitstaff were quite accommodating. Unfortunately the service was disjointed and waitresses had to be asked several times for cutlery, glasses, and water. The food came out at the same time, and a lot of it did look fantastic and reflective of its price (especially the burgers). The mediterranean poached eggs were tasty but the blueberry bang smoothie was a bit disappointing since it was dominated by the taste of banana (the vibrant purple colour was misleading). However overall it was a nice meal and worth a try if you enjoy cafe fare.

Dined here for brunch on 31/12/15. Ordered a hot chocolate and it was lukewarm. Ordered brunch for 3 people which included fried egg bacon hash brown haloumi and toast and it was cold. The egg yoke was dry and the white was actually shriveled up and rubbery. There is no way I'd serve that to a customer. All 3 plates were the same. We tried to order juice but nobody came to take our order. We were with interstate guests and didn't want to make a scene otherwise I would have Wales out. This was appalling.

Terrible coffee, I asked for it with my meal and they brought it out early, and it had a burnt taste. Had to wait 50 minutes for my meal and I asked for no cheese but they still put it on!
