I ordered Barramundi and look what I received! Tasteless greasy cod fish🙄. Yes you can serve this to people who don’t no different between Cod fish and Barrumandi🤔

Delicious fish and chips with potato scallops and very well cooked prawns and calamari. Interesting salt choices available - curry salt, chili salt just maybe missing chicken salt? 😆 Lovely and friendly service.

Went there this afternoon. Bought two cod and chips. Served by two friendly young boys. The cod and chips cooked to perfection. Best fish and chips we have had in years. Highly highly recommended. We are Brits and we loved the food. David and Sarah

Ordered a 'large' chips for the two of us and we got this small box for $7.20 + the uber charge.. Other chippies give you 3x this much for a large. So it was fairly disappointing as we had to order more food elsewhere. Very overpriced and the taste isn't as good as competitors we usually go to.

The owners are fantastic. Very classy and friendly! Have had nothing but perfect customer service from this restaurant every time. Definitely the hottest spot in town for fish and chips. Devine🥂❤️! Another thing to add was the wonderful location. The view only adds to the wonderful experience. In addition, the colours and construction of the shop remind me back to my younger years in scarborough! This place has completely nailed the brief on all aspects!❤️ Keep it up guys! Absolutely fantastic, fast service and beautiful fresh, tasty produce. Definitely highly recommended and we'll be back to eat here again for sure. There's nothing quite like eating fresh fish and chips by the ocean.

Shared the seafood pack for two the cod was well cooked chips good and the surprise serve of corn was a great touch tasty as well have no problems with going there again and the staff were great as well

Use to be a great place for a good feed at a good price. Unfortunately the price has gone up, quantity down. Still good fish and chips but very expensive for what you get now.

Went there for lunch yesterday after reading a lot of quite good reviews. Snapper was fairly fresh. Salad garnish pathetic. Chips ok. BUT to charge us $2.90 for a SMALL can of coke( 200ml) was disgraceful to say the least. When challenged the assistant said that 'she doesn't set the prices'. Have never paid that much for this small can ever! They don't even stock the normal 375ml cans . What sort of business is this place? NEVER AGAIN...this is not how to win people over and to get them to  return. Terrible location as well....Go to other nice places near the water if you want seafood in this general area. A FAILURE.

Not the cheapest on the peninsula but I can see why you pay the extra couple of dollars. I've had fish and chips from the boat shed and it's well presented, crispy batter and comes with a nice side salad.

Delightfully delicious, a great surprise when looking for a great local fish n chips!<br/>I had the chicken burger and the rest of the family had a basket full of seafood, the corn and sweet potato chips were a great addition.<br/>A definite must if visiting Redcliffe.

My first fish and chips in my new home state and these were the best ones Ive had. Fresh, well cooked and battered. Presented really nicely with sweet potato and salad. Yum. Highly recommend this place.

"Fancy" fish and chips. Very nicely presented and nice friendly service. Good price. Wait wasn't long. We enjoyed our meal. No dramas. Would recommend this place for fish and chips. My partner enjoyed his burger as well. Two thumbs up.

My family just spent $53 for whiting cod calamari and two boxes of chips. Simply disgusting. Mushy thick battered whiting and just tasteless rubbish. We gave Morgan's the flick some months ago as the have gone to the dogs do thought we might try the boatshed<br/> Never again. Get your act together before everyone stops coming.

A good local place. Great for coffee (Merlo yesssss) and ice creams. Our new fave place. Don't know if I would have fish n chips here though...

Absolutely disgusting fish. All watery and totally tasteless. First time I've ever had to just dump fish and chips in the garbage and go hungry. Never coming back.

The chicken burgers are great, the fish pretty average, chips are good and the calamari is very tasty. The salad had a bit of dirt through it and the fish was just your average fish. Good pricing for the burger though, overall fresh and nice, certainly go back again and again

Had a great lunch here today. We ordered a whole lot of things and everything was amazing. The calamari was beautiful and the fish was lovely and very big portions. The place was packed and very busy which says a lot. Will come back again next time we are in Redcliffe.

We had the Boat Shed Box for two. The fishes were fresh and delicious and had the melt in your mouth kind of feeling. The calamaries were juicy too. Too bad the fries were a bit dry but overal it was a good dining experience.

YUM!! Loved everything but couldn't help but be impressed with the extras - the corn is to die for :)  Staff were friendly and switched on - quick, polite service for sure.  Equally good if you eat in or take down to the beach or the playground. The actual restaurant is very clean and well laid out with views to the water :) Kids loved it all too. Will definitely be back :)

not disappointed at all coming here for a dinner on a saturday night. <br/>in fact is AMAZING~ <br/>we ordered the fish basket for two for like 30 dollars (sorry couldn't remember correctly) but it got everything that i want!!! two fish fillets, prawns, scallops, mussels, corns and color off with a bunch of baked pumkins =) <br/>we are full and couldn't finish all.

I had my second meal here last night, and never again. Horses for courses but both times it was way too greasy. We were both awake half the night with tummy upsets.

A whole new experience in eating fish and chips as they use cod instead of dory which means the meat would feel more dry and taste a bit bland. However, the calamari is great with good texture and easy to chew. I would recommend eating here if you like to eat fish in general.

Possibly the worst fish and chips I've ever had, the chips were put underneath all the fish which ruined them and the fish was way too greasy. I didn't end up eating most of it.

The fish has a super crunchy golden batter and the fish is juicy and delicious. The chips are also nice and crunchy. The packs are also served with fried sweet potato peels which are yummy! I was supposed to take a photo but I ate it too quickly!

Do fish and chip taste better by the sea?<br/>We had takeaway cod and chips from here today and ate them down on the sea front. The fish was perfectly cooked and the tempura batter light and tasty. Chips were nice enough and the little salad and tartare sauce was too. We Didn't have to wait long for the food and there were tables inside and out if you want to eat there. <br/>Tasty and filling, have been before and will be back again.

We travelled from Toogoolawah with a group of Residents from an Aged Care facility to visit the Boat Shed, based on the wonderful Reviews, and they did not disappoint.  The Residents all commented on how delicious the meal was.  The batter on the fish just melted in your mouth and the fried sweet potato was a tasty treat. <br/> It was a rather cool day, and our group decided to move over to the park across the road after we ordered, then we were very impressed when a shop staff member delivered the meals directly to us in the park - very impressive customer service.

Quite a tasty food. Also the dish looked nice. We didn't wait long for food, nice place, pleasant view. We will be back one day if we are nearby.

Their light tempura batter, accompaniment of corn and signature sweet potato crisps are a great take on classic Australian fish and chips. The concept of BYO to a fish and chip shop is legendary and more places should catch on to this. Always great service. I often crave their melt in the mouth calamari. They're very generous on the serving sizes. Definitely worth the drive to Scarborough and a short stroll to the water front. A great find (and well kept secret)!

Needs baby highchair!!!. We love this place however it really needs to provide baby highchairs!!!!

Fish and chip heaven. The hidden gem. Wow what a fish n chip shop.best I have had for a very long time full flavoured Aussie chips crisp fresh fish cooked spot on.it all comes with garnish big wedge of lemon your own home style tartare all included.fresh salads just yum.if people whinge about this place they don't know food.i know where I will be going for fish n chips.oh and what a View.simply the best

Great fish and chips! Tempura batter was crispy and fresh, calamari was soft. Beautifully presented with some salad, corn and tartare. Proof was in the fact my kids left nothing at the end.

Would be great if you really liked McCain chips combined with frozen battered fish, and an oily deep fryer. Sounds like they may get a discount from Coles. Could do it myself at home, without paying the 13.90 for a single serve of fish and chips!<br/><br/>They seem to think adding some sweet potato to everything makes the Coles product better, it doesn't.<br/><br/>I can not emphasise this enough. If you are considering going here, don't. Look elsewhere. Anywhere else. Seriously.

Experience at boat shed. I went there for Sunday lunch. Great food good value. But not the place to dine in there are takeaway customers milling around the tables. Decor is v poor. This should be listed as take away. Lovely park by sea over road.

Wow! Big call but would have to say the best fish n chips I've had in my 27 years. The calamari was amazing, the chips awesome and the fish succulent. Also loved the sweet potato shavings and mini corn. Only criticism was that the fish was slightly oily, only slightly. Yum!

Came here for the first time last night loved it so much we came back for lunch. Friendly staff and good service. Immaculate presentation and the crispy sweet potato garnish gives them an edge over your average fish and chip shop. Ordered barra and it was perfectly fresh.

Best melt in the mouth calamari ever!

Possibly the best fish and chips ever. Yes, I know, big call. But the crispy batter, delicious fish and melt-in-the-mouth chips were such a delight at this cute little hole-in-the-wall cafe that I couldn't resist raving about them! Worth the drive from Brisbane for sure!

Great seafood, wasn't to oily and was very tasty but for some reason I couldn't get my fish grilled.

After hearing nothing but positive things about the Boat Shed I was shocked to find it a complete disappointment when i dined there last night with some family & friends. After a grueling hour long wait, our meals finally arrived. My father ordered the $39.90 john dee 'angus super food's 150 day grain fed sirloin 300 grams. A third of the steak was a full length slab of fat and gristle which was completely inedible. It looked and tasted like a cheap piece of rump. The red wine juse tasted like supermarket packet variety. The real clincher was how they responded when we queried the steak. They said the fat is normal for sirloin (which it isn't) and they refused to do anything. My filet mignon was tender but looked like a cheap pub meal. There were several other faults with other people's meals at our table. It seems like the boat shed aspires to be a fine dining restaurant (and is certainly priced like one) but falls short and produces a basic pub quality meal at best. The whole experience was a complete disgrace and I nor any of my friends or family will ever be back.

Best Fish n chips in Redcliffe. Not greasy & cooked perfectly. Not the cheapest but u pay for quality. Calamari melted in ur mouth, barra the same Yummo!!! Was very impressed, definately will be back!!!

I went here for the first time last week and i'd have to say i had the best fish and chips ever! I will be going back for sure.

Apart from being quite greasy, I was impressed with the taste, quality and presentation.<br/>I'm not convinced it was good value for money though, as the portion was far less than expected. <br/>We paid $6 for an extra half serving of calamari, which turned out to be only 3 pieces.<br/>It was quite a nice atmosphere.

Superb Calamari. The Boat Shed makes the best Calamari & Chips in the area. I highly recommend it!

Amazing. I'm not into fish n chips that much. However, this place really took the cake. The fish was so beatiful and the batter was crispy. The presentation was amazing. It really had the wow factor. The place is very clean and did not smell of greeasy fish which I thought was wonderful. The staff were helpful too when they brought out the fish n chips.

Nice. Have been here twice now had there fish burger which was very good, the second time had there seafood basket which was good aswell and tried my girlfriends thai spring roll which was very good.

This could be the best fish and chips in th region, all the small touches with the garnish make it really special

We ordered The Boat Shed Box with extra 2 potato scallops. I was pleasantly surprised to see sweet potato crisps! The fishes had a very crispy layer which is tasty but slightly oily, the chips were average, the potato scallops were average, and calamari rings were nice and soft without too much batter.
