Great food and excellent service. Not the cheapest meal around, but still very good value for your money. Good size dishes that taste amazing. The cashew beef just melts in your mouth. Chicken dishes are great too. Even the special fried rice was very tasty.Thank you for a fantastic dinner. They were closed for sit down dinning because of Easter Monday holiday, but when a few groups of people showed up they opened up to feed us.

Amazing food. Owners and staff are extremely nice. I've been coming here a lot recently as it's the best place i can get chinese food from. They offer a take away service which is great. The place is always kept clean and tidy

Such tasty food in a quiet atmosphere! The serves were generous and such flavour only a good Asian cook can produce! I cant wait to try some more! The service was perfect. Waiters there when needed .....no smothering the table or worse...not there when needed. The restaurant was nicely furnished in a Chinese style and the large dining room atmosphere... quiet and spacious ..plenty of chair room. But it was all about the food!. No corckage fee was a pleasant surprise. Ill be back soon!

Absolutely fabulous. Excellent sauces. Fresh veggies. Love the duck in plum sauce. The wait time is really short, too. This is our favourite local Chinese food venue.

Forget this place, last time we ordered mini spring rolls the oil seeping through the greasy paper, amongst other dishes special fried rice was not special, rang to complain, no one listened. So we gave them another chance wrong, did a phone order told to pick up 8.25 we arrived in an Uber at 8.30 and we told the order would be another 25 away.Not wanting to pay the Uber waiting time we cancelled the order and we when abused for making a complaint Give this place a wide curve

Very Disappointing - our large group (25) was booked in 6 weeks prior to secure the front tables so we could see the fireworks. On arrival we were shown to tables right at the back of the restaurant and the large front table was occupied. When we complained they were initially not going to do anything until some of us suggested that we go elsewhere, at which point they dragged one table to the front of the restaurant. The other was brought forward but had little view outside. When the other front table filled up it became apparent that we had been bumped to make way for a famous footballer. I understand that this restaurant is under new management - well this experience does not bode well for their future. In addition to the table fiasco, a banquet had been ordered but there was insufficient food to feed all of our table and we repeatedly had to as for rice which was not forthcoming until we had nearly finished our meal. All in all we were very disappointed in this restaurant. A number of our group are locals and we will NOT be recommending this restaurant in the future!!

The food quality has gone down in the last 6 months. The last purchase was almost inedible. The special fried rice was "gluggy" and there was very little "special" in it. The sweet and sour pork had lots of gristle and very few vegetables.

Every dish we had at John's restaurant was delicious. A big thank you to John Khuu, his wife and sons, for making our lunch so enjoyable. If you're looking for a great meal and excellent service, give John a ring and book a table Mike Dods, Gold Coast
