Review Bazil & Co - Scarborough

Delicious coffee, a sweets cabinet that makes you wish you could eat everything. Come here every so often when in the area. Have never had a bad coffee or food, but the owners are the best. They're delightful, lovely, friendly, and always smiling and know everybody.

Amazing cakes, biscuits and all to buy. Sadly will close to make way for more apartments but definitely worth supporting prior to them closing. The biscuits and service is amazing and cacao almonds my gosh so good

Smooth coffee and one of the most decadent ranges of pastries I've seen recently. All served by a vivacious lady of foreign origin with contagious laughter and smile.

Very friendly staff, great coffee and the Portuguese tart I have had in a longtime. We ate one and went back to get another, they were closing up so Tony gave me the last two for the price of one. Legend, and thanks again.

You weren't open on Tuesday even though your website said you were, so you have lost my trust - even though I've been there before and enjoyed what you had to offer. Yes you did have a sign in your window but it's a bit disappointing when you have ridden 35kms and taken a little detour to get there. Fortunately i didn't bring a half a dozen others with me as it would have been embarrassing after bragging how good the service, yummy selection of cake and coffee was the first time i visited.

My parents visited this coffee shop, whilst they didn’t buy coffee here they did buy food which cost more than the coffee. They sat down as mum not long had operation and staff member came over and said they couldn’t sit here as they didn’t buy coffee. When they stated they bought food she aggressively continued to tell them to move on. Other patrons spoke up but being embarrassed they just picked up their food and coffee and moved. Feeling sad my parent were treated in this manner.

Will never go there again. We bought takeaway coffee from Valori two doors up and then went to Basil & Co where we spent $16 on two pieces of cake. We then sat at one of their tables which incidentally was in front of another shop. While we were eating the cake one very rude staff member from Basils came and told us we can't have the Valori coffe at that table. We explained that we just spent $16 at their shop and he walked away. Two minutes later an Asian woman came to our table and basically abused us for having Valori coffe at their table so at that we walked away and will never return. And to top it off because Valori don't sell cake their staff actually suggested we could get cake from Basils if we wanted some. If i could give zero stars i would.

Lovely place for a coffee and a huge range of treats I've seen. Was served by Tony who had great customer service and a smile. Offers outdoor seating overlooking the ocean.

Service was on point, great friendly staff and the food is to die for. Their freshly squeezed juice is also the best I’ve had in a while. Will definitely be back ��

We came for breakfast today and the food and service was amazing. We ordered eggs bene with ham and my partner had eggs bene with Salmon. The portions of the ham and Salmon were decent servings. Definitely value for money. I came into your shop after we finished our meals and gave feedback to you and thought I would share this on your page. Thanks once again for great food and service �

Great service great food lovely coffee. They brought water out for dog first before us - sweet! Yummo savoury mince for breakfast. Fresh orange juice. Busker playing nice tunes. Might reserve my table for Sunday mornings!

Best place ever. The special Japanese potato salad is to die for. And the cakes ... wow!

My favourite little go to cafe. Great Tea & coffee, fabulous food and exceptional service. Friendly and caring staff, nothing is too much for them. Love the make and take cards on Tuesday mornings with Lise. TOP place.

Our first time at Basil & Co. I took my Mum there for Mother’s Day Breakfast. The food was good, the atmosphere was relaxed and comfortable. The friendliness of the staff was outstanding.

Delicious coffee, comfortable environment, Scrumptious breakfast served with radiant smiles and all staff are so very helpful and just lovely people. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.. 6 stars. Extra star for the staff...��

Great strong coffee- super table service by older gentleman, loved the buskers whose beautiful voices made us choose Bazil &Co- and my mushroom and blue cheese pastry with fresh garden salad was delicious.

Going there and always had a good experience we must say the last two times was a disappointment. Yesterday and the time before it took more then 1 hour to get our breakfast. Yesterday it took more then a half hour to even get our coffee. Then when finally the food was served the poached eggs were no poached eggs but the egg yolk was hard. We didnt get offered any water at all. We went to the Dawn Service but because we wanted breakfast at our favorite coffee shop we drove to Bazil&Co but because we had to wait so long we were too late back for the Parade. Thats why we didnt complain about the poached eggs. We really hope next time the wait will be not 1 hour. Felt sorry for the lovely old man though he does his best but get ordered arround.

First time today and we loved it !! Also loved the dear elderly gentleman who checked we were all ok with our water with a beautiful Smile .. we will be back �

Wonderful, we really enjoy the welcoming and friendly service, definitely our go to in Scarborough Beach. The coffee and toasted sandwiches are great!

Scored a great robust delicious tasting coffee here. It was super strong without a hint of bitterness. Also bought a mud ball which was coated in a thick shell of chocolate, very gooy & indulgent treat

All coffees, tumeric latte, chai latte and milkshakes were so weak you could hardly taste anything but milk. Bread was stale. Food cabinet looked like old food and unappealing. Such a let down. A great location, but poorly run cafe.

We had coffee today and out of 2 Latte's and 2 Flat Whites we didn't get one decent cup of coffee. It was very weak, weak, weak. The spot it's in is perfect and it was s beautiful afternoon. Who ever is on Thursdays need to do a Barrister course.
